Children 1st Bilborough Nursery School is located on Beechdale Road in the heart of Bilbrough on the site of Jubilee Lead Academy School. The setting offers complete care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years old and 30 hours funded places are available for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

The setting is a bright open and engaging learning environment, complete with a separate baby suite. The outdoor area has been designed to maximise the potential for outdoor play and children are encouraged to choose their own activity with a huge variety of options both inside and out.

I just want to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Children 1st @ Bilborough for all their help over the past few years! My daughter has really enjoyed being here and has definitely learnt a lot during her time in nursery.
I feel proud of the things she has achieved, and the confidence she
has built, and that’s all thanks to the amazing staff at the nursery.
I would 100% recommend this nursery to all parents.

Our son has spent the last 3 years in this setting, he is always happy to go to nursery and we have seen a lot of development in his young age. I have two daughters and they have both attended Children 1st @ Bilborough Day Nursery since a very young age.
The staff go above and beyond and they are all very approachable and have big smiles on their faces.
I have had to change my nursery pattern a few times due to working hours changing and
they have been very supportive with this, ensuring start and finish times have been manageable for me.
I have one daughter that is now in primary school and is top of the class with her maths and writing and I always say this is because of Children 1st as they spent so much time with her and were very patient and caring.
My youngest daughter still attends Children 1st as she is always happy and smiley in the mornings and ready to leave for nursery.
She always says to me, I love my teachers mummy they are very kind and they make me happy.

My twins are 4 and joined the nursery when they were 2 from another preschool that they attended. At that preschool, they were very negative about my son's behaviour and acted as though there was something wrong. Within a few weeks at Children 1st @ Bilborough Day Nursery they helped me and him learn
and they showed willing to help and we weren't an inconvenience, honestly, it was the best decision I have made. Every single one of the staff treats the children with love, understanding and takes time to tell you everything.
I would recommend this nursery because of how they operate and most importantly, because of how much the staff genuinely care.

My daughter really enjoys and looks forward to going to nursery every morning and I am so pleased with the progress and confidence she has gained since being at Children 1st Bilborough. All of the staff are genuinely caring and professional. I am always kept up to date on my childs development with
regular assessment reports through the parent portal. The teachers engage very well with all of the children and nothing is ever too much trouble. The nursery facilities and learning spaces are always clean and fit for purpose 10/10

This nursery is amazing and my son absolutely loves it, he always comes out with a massive smile and is ready to tell us about his fantastic day at nursery. I cannot thank this nursery enough! From the moment I went to have a look around ready for my son starting I have always felt so happy with them. My little boy settled straight away and has come on leaps and bounds. My little boy is always talking about his teachers and has an amazing bond with his

I can not recommend this nursery enough. Every single member of staff are kind, warm & welcoming. They’ve helped me adapt hours etc when needed to suit work life. My son has come on leaps and bounds since joining in September 2021. His confidence has grown, he has a great group of friends and has made
some amazing bonds with members of staff. All have honestly made the start of his journey in early years amazing and I couldn’t thank them enough with words. The staff are assets to this establishment and need all the recognition they can be given. Two staff members, in particular, have been his familiar members of staff who he absolutely adores and I’m sure he will miss now he is moving on to reception.

My child attended this nursery for a year and absolutely loved her time here.
Upon picking the nursery I noticed how happy each child was going into nursery which was a very good sign for me. My daughter also loved going in and before long would run through the door to her friends.
The nursery always
offered various activities for the children and structured, educational activities which my child enjoyed and was an active participant of.
The food on offer was very good and my extremely fussy daughter would mostly always eat her meal which was reassuring.
The staff are all very nice and very experienced. You can tell they have a true passion and enthusiasm for working with children.
When I did have any queries the management were happy to assist and did generally respond quickly. If there is something the nursery could improve on it is their communication and partnership with the parents and to update the app with pictures and observations more regularly. But overall a very good nursery.

My daughter has been to different nurseries I wasn't happy with and when I viewed Children 1st @ Bilborough Day Nursery I loved it, I must say it is one of the best and my daughter loves it too. She settled very well in there and she always talks about staff as her friends. The staff are fantastic,

The nursery is local for us, during the time our son has attended he has grown to love going to nursery. The staff are very competent and professional which shines through every day. When they greet you with a smile, despite the hard times we are all going through, they continue to provide a balanced,

My son has been attending Children 1st @ Bilborough since he was two and although a little reluctant at first, the staff were amazing at helping him settle in and now he absolutely loves going, in fact he wants to go all the time. His communication has come on so much, he’s such a clever boy and the
comments about him are always super positive and that he’s a pleasure. He’s got such a kind nature and it comes across from his time at nursery. He always has lots to tell me about his time in nursery and is always very happy. The nursery is just lovely, is run so nicely and with lots of care and thought for all of the children and the parents, I really couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended from us as a family.
