Children 1st Bilborough Nursery School is located on Beechdale Road in the heart of Bilbrough on the site of Jubilee Lead Academy School. The setting offers complete care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years old and 30 hours funded places are available for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

The setting is a bright open and engaging learning environment, complete with a separate baby suite. The outdoor area has been designed to maximise the potential for outdoor play and children are encouraged to choose their own activity with a huge variety of options both inside and out.

Since both my children started this setting, it has been nothing but an overall amazing experience. All the staff members are professional, kind and appear to have the children's needs at the centre of their practice. My children have developed tremendously since beginning the nursery. They have amazing
relationships with the staff members. Thank you for providing my children with the best opportunities to develop and thank you for the outstanding care you provide from day to day!

Children's 1st is a place where you can keep your kids and your mind will be at rest. Lovely staff, they are so accommodating and supportive as well.
They are always there to support families in terms of trial. The manager is a good person I must say.

My son started at the Bilborough Nursery back in September 2023. Since starting, they have not only made my son feel at ease and welcomed but myself also. The staff supported us both during the settling-in period which reassured me tremendously. My son settled in within a week, and he absolutely loves
going to nursery every day which shows me that he is very well taken care of. My son has an allergy to dairy and is quite restricted with his diet due to this, and the nursery and the staff have been wonderful and extremely careful to assure that his dietary needs are met but also that he is not at risk in any way. They communicate very well, and I find their policy and procedures really do help support this! I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent when looking at a place that can provide support, comfort and education to their child. My son has come on leaps and bounds since starting in this nursery and the care and time they take to engage with him really does show.

Best nursery I’ve seen in this area, clean and organised and has good friendly staff. Me and my daughter both took a long time to settle and were supported throughout the process. Children have new activities to do daily and develop a bond with their teachers. Also, you get updates about your child

We love this nursery, my little boy only started going in September but his confidence has grown massively and he’s become such a kind little gentleman with the help of the nursery staff here. His key worker is very down to earth, supportive and warm hearted, she is very approachable and keeps us well
informed of everything throughout his day. You walk into the building every morning to a Good morning and everyone says hello, it’s very welcoming! Everyone is so kind and caring! Definitely the best nursery around. My little one is definitely happy to go there and we are very confident with the nursery staff, doing the best for everyone there.

My son is attending this nursery since 2022 and he has been settled very well. Staff of the nursery are very cooperative and understanding. My son has speech difficulties and his key workers has been helping him through this. They have designed good activities for children specifically, on Christmas
2023 is coming and hopefully they will enjoy the events.

My daughter started this nursery in September and she absolutely loves it,
We have never left her before so it was quite difficult for us, but the staff here are just so kind and caring they make you feel at ease.
Our daughter has settled in so well here, she loves doing all the different activities
and playing and singing. Since she started, her speech has come on amazing and as parents, we are both very happy with this choice. The staff here are all lovely and I take great comfort in knowing our little girl is very looked after here.

I am very satisfied with the work and all the care that the nursery is providing with my daughter, I have seen and see up close the excellent work that the nursery does, they treat my daughter very well, and I trust her with my eyes closed. Nursery was extremely supportive in helping us fill out paperwork for getting the government-funded thirty hours. Receptionist is always happy and friendly. Staff always give good feedback on day to day activities of the children.

My daughter has attended this nursery since she was 23 months. She was fully attracted to me as a pandemic baby and breastfed. She loves the place and they always make her feel better, even when I was trying to stop breastfeeding, and recently last year they helped me in a milestone with potty training.
She's almost 4 years now. Also management were always supportive and will be so patient and understanding. I love this nursery and the great job that everyone is doing. Really appreciated. And will recommend it to everyone that I know.

My son has been attending the baby room for around three months now. He has come on loads thanks to the staff. He his happy when I drop off and collect him. Staff who are currently looking after my son have been amazing, really friendly and helpful.

Absolutely amazing nursery and the staff are second to none! My little boy's development has come on leaps and bounds since he started here last September. We had to remove our son from this nursery. They brought out someone else's child to us at pick up on one occasion and no action was taken, left our son in a soiled nappy on more than one occasion and when challenged on it, the previous manager said she felt our son was Autistic. Complete lies. There
were many other issues but too many to mention. There are a couple of excellent staff there but also staff who mock and speak to children inappropriately from what we've personally seen. Our son didn't like going here and has come on leaps and bounds since leaving.

My daughter started Children 1st Bilborough 4 years ago and will be leaving in August 2023 to start her next chapter at big school in September. She enjoys going to nursery every day and I can’t thank all the staff enough for all the love and support they’ve given her during her time here. The staff
go above and beyond every day.

My child absolutely loves this nursery and he looks forward to going every time I take him! He’s very attached to the staff and speaks about them when we’re at home all the time which just shows how caring they all are!
Even as a parent, the staff are all welcoming and friendly I’ve never encountered
or felt unwelcome when dropping or collecting my child from nursery they’re all amazing!
Every day is different with activities and games they play from art to music to dancing, playing outside etc. and they helped with potty training and were fabulous which gave me that extra push to do it!
Can not fault Children 1st in any way, definitely a five-star nursery without a doubt and would recommend anyone to take their child here!

Absolutely fantastic nursery!
One of the best in the NG8 area. Both my little girls have attended Children 1st. The staff are always amazing! I feel my children are always safe and being cared for. Lots of communication and overall learning and development are at the heart of it all.
I will be sad
for my little one to leave to go on to school.

My son likes going to the Nursery, and the teachers always welcome each child into the Nursery in the morning, which is very happy. Absolutely outstanding Nursery. My daughter started in September 2022 and since then she’s progressed so much in herself and her speech has come on tremendously.
