Next Generation Day Nursery (Barnehurst) has been operating since July 2018. They also have another site, New Foundations Day Nursery, located in Bexleyheath, operating since 2003.

The nursery provides children with a welcoming and friendly home-from-home environment and has a team of highly qualified and enthusiastic staff who have a genuine interest in supporting children to learn and achieve, they want to achieve that wow factor for you, they want you to want to come to their setting, they want to make you feel at home, they want what's best for all the children and continually strive for improvements to maintain their local reputation.

Staff are skilled and professional as they support children's individual needs and help them to become capable learners, staff build fantastic relations with parents and keep you updated on what your little one has done during the day through their app, you will get regular photos or video uploads through the apps secure portal, they find these offer peace of mind to many parents, seeing their child 'in action' speaks volumes.

The staff are trained to meet every child’s individual needs and help the children to learn and achieve in a fun, attractive and bright learning environment, they believe in re-investing in their staff and have a robust CPD programme to support their learning and enhance any areas of the provision for ongoing improvements.

The nursery is located close to the main road, and ideally situated for local rail and bus routes.

Absolutely fantastic nursery with amazing staff and management. Always doing anything they can to help with anything at all. They are so caring and friendly and teach the children so well in every aspect. I have my second child now at the nursery and highly recommend them. Both mine had severe allergies
and the care and checking involved is amazing.

Very happy with my experience with Next Generation Day Nursery and would highly recommend. 
My son joined at 8 months old and has been there for over a year and is thriving.
I had to send my son to nursery earlier than I had intended due to a work circumstance and felt very stressed about the whole
situation but dealing with all the members of the team and settling him into the nursery made the experience so much better. Such a relief!
It feels very much like a family environment and they keep us well informed with various updates on activities and progression. 
The entire team is friendly, engaging, upbeat and more than anything caring which is such a comfort when you know they are spending a lot of time at nursery.

My son has been attending Next Generation Day Nursery (Barnehurst) for 7 months now and absolutely adores it. The room leaders and nursery assistants really take the time to get to know the children and their interests as well as cheer on their achievements. The settling-in period was at a good pace
and really allowed my son to feel happy there before he started full-time. I love having the app because we can see what our kids are getting up to during the day and the friendships they are forming as well as an excellent communication tool for parents.
I've noticed huge leaps in development since my son started from his writing and drawing, language skills and even helping to encourage him with trying some new foods. He loves his days there so much he even tells me he wants to go to nursery on the weekends!
I can't thank the staff enough for making it such an easy transition for him.

My daughter has been in the baby room for over a year and we absolutely love it. She is really happy in there, has developed so much and the staff are amazing. We are updated regularly with progress and daily pictures. I would recommend this nursery to anyone. Also, the food menu is varied and she seems

Our daughter has been going to the nursery for about eight months now. The team took the time to get to know what she liked and didn’t like, so we felt comfortable right from the start (even though it was a big change for all of us). I love the fact that our daughter sees the same three or four members
of staff each week when she goes, and it’s great having the app so we can see how she’s eating/sleeping and see photos of the group activities too.

I will always have a special place in my heart for this nursery. I was extremely distressed when I booked a place for my less than a year old son due to an unpleasant experience with his childminder at that time. The manager called me, patiently listened to my anxious concerns and said and done all
the right things that I needed to hear. My son is now 2 years and 7 months old and I cannot thank them enough for giving my child the best experience and making his childhood magical. I am working full time and doing really great with my career knowing my child is in safe hands. He is learning so much and enjoys every bit of it. All the girls are superstars. My son has been at Next Generation for over a year now and started when he was less than a year old. He loves the place and all the staff members. The staff are very warm, and welcome and do an amazing job at taking care of the kids and keeping us informed (regular updates through the day, activities
done, etc).
I would highly recommend Next Generation to any parent looking for a nursery.
I left a review last year with 4 stars for outdoor space as that seemed smaller at the beginning but it definitely is a 5-star nursery and they do an amazing job even with smaller outdoor space by planning the day so kids get enough outdoor time.

My youngest currently attends the nursery and my older eldest used to go. The overall experience has been great for both and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Our son is in the last few months before starting school. The preschool team are gently preparing him for life at big school; encouraging independence in self-care, play and thinking. The activities the children do are fun, interesting and varied with a great deal of thought and time put into devising
them. There is also a lot of time for free play with his pals which he loves. As a parent I find the whole nursery team to be kind and caring towards us as a family.

Our daughter has been attending Next Generation Nursery for 15 months now. She is very happy there, always talking about what they’ve been doing, and always excited in the morning to go to nursery. She has received good care there, always coming home in dry clothes, with a lot of drawings in her bag.
She is off to reception this year, and we are said to leave nursery. We highly recommend Next Generation nursery to all.

I have two daughters ages 4 and 2 that have attended Next Generation Day Nursery (Barnhurst) since the age of 1. I have been so impressed with every member of staff I’ve been lucky enough to meet, the communication between staff and parents is second to none. The family app is a godsend and keeps me
updated with all the fun my children are having and what they’ve been eating. More importantly, the development of my daughters has been astonishing I am so so proud of how much they’ve progressed in the care of Next Generation. I honestly can't say enough about this place my daughters are so happy and that’s what matters to me. So well done Next Generation, keep doing a fantastic job. You should be proud of yourselves!

I moved my 2 children here from another local nursery as they weren't settling and never wanted to go and it was definitely the right decision.


They are both very happy, no more tears at drop off, and always have lots to tell me about what they've been doing all day.


The staff are all very friendly

and approachable and communicate with me regularly about my children's development.


Highly recommended.

My little boy has been at Next Generation Day Nursery for 2 and a half years now and he has absolutely thrived there. The staff are amazing and he loves going in each morning. He’s formed some lovely friendships and I can go to work each day knowing he is in safe hands and is enjoying himself. He is
my first child and I had anxiety about going back to work and leaving him but they made me feel so reassured. They always keep me up to date on his day down to what he’s eating and pictures of the activities he is doing. They really care about all of the children and he is always coming home showing me something new he has learnt. We recently moved slightly further away but I would not ever think about moving his nurseries! I cannot recommend them enough.

My daughter has ended the nursery for over a year now, she started in February 2021 when she was coming up to 1 years old so understandably we were anxious about attending especially given her 1st year was in lockdown. Although it took some time for her to settle, the staff in the baby room are amazing
and we’re so welcoming and loving! She now loves nursery and all the staff and has come on leaps and bounds since being there, she has also made lots of friends which is lovely to see! We love seeing all the updates throughout the day.


The whole team are so welcoming and friendly and put the children first at all times. Highly recommended this nursery and we will be using the nursery for our son next year too.

Our son has been attending Next Generation since Feb 2019 and our daughter since Jan 2022. We couldn’t be happier with the care that is provided. It has been a joy to watch him thrive and progress through the nursery and develop new skills as he goes. Everyone works so hard to make sure the children’s
days are full of fun. The extra steps they take to ensure each child’s needs are met and nothing is ever too much for them. We have regular catch-ups regarding progress and have daily updates and photos. Thank you Next Generation for all your hard work and support in developing the children and filling their days with so much fun.

I was recommended this nursery and my son has been here since September 2021. I think it’s a fantastic little nursery, my son loves going and equally, I know he’s in very good hands for the day. All the staff are lovely and show a real interest in the children’s needs and development. There’s always
a vast range of activities, indoors and outdoors, and a lovely choice of food on the menu.


I love receiving pictures and updates on the app so I know how he is getting on throughout the day, what’s he’s been up to, eaten, etc! I can’t fault this nursery, I would highly recommend it to others.

Debbie has worked for the company for over 15 years, firstly at our Sidcup site and then at our Barnehurst nursery when we opened. Debbie is a mum and grandmother herself so has heaps of experience. All the parents feel reassured when they meet Debbie and know their baby will be well cared for. Debbie prioritises, love care and attention in the Baby Room, making sure the babies get lots of hugs and encouragement so that they thrive in all areas.


Debbie holds an NVQ Level 3
