Partou Storytimes Day Nursery & Pre-school is a magical new nursery in Atherton, providing exceptional care and education for children aged birth to five.

The newly refurbished nursery on Leigh Road boasts two fabulous outdoor play areas with a mud kitchen, dens, painting tunnel, bug hotel, theatre stage and more! The children go on expeditions into these adventure gardens every day, come rain or shine.

Storytimes’ bright spacious playrooms are filled with state-of-the-art toys and resources, helping children to learn in a stimulating environment. There are special rooms for all stages of development, from the soft and cosy Baby Rooms to the exciting Pre-school Rooms - where children are prepared for big school.

Children at the nursery enjoy a delicious seasonal menu bursting with fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. All of the nursery’s healthy meals and snacks are freshly prepared on-site by the Nursery Chef, and can be altered to meet any special dietary requirements.

Fun learning activities are supported by the nursery’s highly qualified team of childcare practitioners, who keep parents involved by keeping a Learning Journey for each child. Staff have enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training, with additional qualifications in paediatric first aid training.

My son has attended Storytimes since he was 7 months old and has recently moved up to the preschool room. As soon as I entered the nursery it felt so homely, the rooms are beautifully set up and the staff are so friendly. All the way through babies, tinies, toddlers and now pre-school he has loved coming
to nursery and has learned and developed so much. All the staff are amazing and treat the children as though they’re their own. There are always so many fun activities planned by the staff as well as weekly stretch & grow sessions and swimming lessons. Handovers are always very informative by staff and we get lots of photo updates on the app. His key worker is amazing and they have such a wonderful bond! I couldn’t be happier. Thanks so much to everyone at Storytimes!

From moving to this nursery from another nursery in the Atherton area I cannot fault Storytimes at all.
The staff within preschool especially one member of staff in particular whom my child has a lovely bond with, are all fantastic and work so hard to look after all the children in there. I’m sad
that my child has only been there a short while but it has made such a difference and I will be forever grateful to the staff for welcoming my child and us as parents.

My son has been going to Storytimes Nursery since he was 18 months old and he is due to start school in September. In the 3.5 years, I have had very little issues, but any that we did have, have been dealt with very smoothly and I have always been happy. The staff cannot do enough for you and are always
happy, approachable and always willing to help. His Key worker has proved time and time again that my son isn’t just another child you look after, but that she genuinely cares about him, and honestly goes above and beyond her duty of care as his Key Worker. I can’t thank her enough for that. I’d like to personally name everyone but all the girls are absolutely amazing, but two in particular cannot do enough for my son. Neither of them switch off at 6 pm when the nursery closes. If he has been poorly or we have a problem at home, they will always contact me to check on him to make sure he’s okay and always offer extra support when needed.
I would not send my child to any other nursery.

After attending a new nursery in February 2024 it feels like I took a pot plant to Storytimes.
Our concerns were always dismissed with some excuse that we had no choice but to accept.
No accident reports were made.
My child was always hungry and incredibly thirsty on pickup.
She didn’t speak
at nursery for three months while attending this nursery.
Every night the report back to us was, “she’s been great - she didn’t eat much, but she had a good go” and then described some non-vegan meal - then suddenly correct themselves at least half her attendance. I don’t even want to say much more I am so angry.

Storytimes has a well-known reputation in the local community. The placement has facilities for all children and their different interests and personalities. The staff are well trained and nurturing to the children. Daily feedback on your child's day with details about their eating and daily tasks.
My daughter loves the stretch and grow sessions, and has grown, learnt and found her own little personality with the support from the staff team, having been at the nursery since being a baby. Could not recommend enough. Thankyou Storytimes.

Excellent nursery, would not hesitate in recommending this nursery. Staff are friendly, helpful and tailor services to meet individual child’s needs. Menu of meals is superior, with all fresh ingredients to cater for children’s dietary requirements.
Clean, safe and happy environment. My grandson certainly
looks forward to going to nursery and has thrived in this environment.
His confidence has increased through the interaction of daily activities. Well done in achieving and meeting the high standard expected and delivery of service.

Brilliant nursery!

My son is 6 months old and has been going to Storytimes for 2 months now. I was anxious about sending him to nursery so young however he absolutely loves it and has such an amazing relationship with all the staff in the room. He always has a smile on his face when he sees the staff and when I collect
him. Storytimes were amazing during his settles and put my worries at ease. Thank you to the baby rooms for making me and my boy happy and all of the staff for all of your hard work!

I couldn’t have chosen a better pre-school for my little one. The staff are just the absolute best and he has the best relationship with them all! They are so attentive and caring to all children. Storytimes cared for my little boy from the age of 9 months old for three years. He loved his time at Storytimes and made memories for life. Each of his key workers were amazing and treated him with such care and definitely went the extra mile. I would recommend Storytimes to anybody looking for quality

We were very fortunate to have both of our children cared for at Storytimes Nursery and I can not recommend them enough. It is daunting, and also upsetting, to drop your children off to be cared for by other people, but from the minute we walked in I've never felt anything but comfort and warmth. Both
of my children get excited to go to Storytimes and they have excelled ever since with the help of the staff there. There is constant engagement, new activities, the environment is outstanding and the relationships that have developed with the key workers and my kiddos is something a parent can only dream of when taking them to nursery, I can not thank you all enough for how amazing you have all been.

Well what can I say about Storytimes. Both my daughter and son have attended the nursery/pre-school since they were both 6 months. My eldest has just sadly left to start her new adventure at primary school and my youngest is still at the nursery. I can honestly say that they’ve been incredible in terms
of supporting, loving and caring for both my children. The growth I’ve seen in them both is remarkable and they’ve really enabled to prepare my eldest daughter for primary. Communication is brilliant and the activities they provide are both enjoyable and educational. I couldn’t recommend Storytimes enough.

Being a primary school teacher, I have the opportunity to visit lots of nurseries and I can honestly say Storytimes is the best nursery setting I have been in. The environment is stunning; it’s purposeful and engaging for the children. The opportunities and experiences that are planned for the children
are so creative. The staff spend a lot of time trying to make the environment inviting for the children, going above and beyond for special events like the King’s Coronation. My little boy has attended since he was 8 months old and he loves it! The staff are so nurturing and have built positive relationships with him and us as parents. I feel like he is getting the best start in life. I would fully recommend this nursery to anyone looking.

This nursery was exactly what I hoped it would be, fantastic staff, always happy and smiling. The nursery provides great activities, my child particularly liked the self registration areas, they settled her into the nursey with ease each morning. The Food was amazing and the management team are lovely,

Both my daughters attend Storytimes and love going to nursery. The staff are lovely and friendly, and my daughters have a good relationship with them.
My eldest daughter leaves for school this year, and I know she will miss going to nursery, especially the staff in the preschool room.
My youngest
is in the baby room, and the staff have done an excellent job of helping her to settle into the nursery.

From the moment I walked into Storytimes, I knew this was the nursery for us. From the welcoming staff to the beautiful environments and all the fun, fabulous things the staff plan for the children. They always have exciting stuff going on, and the nursery always smells amazing when I arrive. The food
always sounds so nice, and it’s so reassuring as a full-time working mummy to know they are getting a well-balanced and nutritious diet whilst attending all week. Thank you, Storytimes, for all that you do!
