Partou Storytimes Day Nursery & Pre-school is a magical new nursery in Atherton, providing exceptional care and education for children aged birth to five.

The newly refurbished nursery on Leigh Road boasts two fabulous outdoor play areas with a mud kitchen, dens, painting tunnel, bug hotel, theatre stage and more! The children go on expeditions into these adventure gardens every day, come rain or shine.

Storytimes’ bright spacious playrooms are filled with state-of-the-art toys and resources, helping children to learn in a stimulating environment. There are special rooms for all stages of development, from the soft and cosy Baby Rooms to the exciting Pre-school Rooms - where children are prepared for big school.

Children at the nursery enjoy a delicious seasonal menu bursting with fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. All of the nursery’s healthy meals and snacks are freshly prepared on-site by the Nursery Chef, and can be altered to meet any special dietary requirements.

Fun learning activities are supported by the nursery’s highly qualified team of childcare practitioners, who keep parents involved by keeping a Learning Journey for each child. Staff have enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training, with additional qualifications in paediatric first aid training.

We are very new to Storytimes nursery (2 months in) my granddaughter has settled in very well with the lovely staff who are very welcoming and friendly with a fun, positive warm environment provided various activities to learn and explore. My granddaughter loves coming to nursery after attending another
nursery we can highly recommend Storytimes so glad we made the change seeing her so happy when we pick her up so excited telling us about her day, wow, truly amazing!

The team at Storytimes has been wonderfully supportive over the two years my little one has been there. The activities on offer, the connection and attention provided all show how passionate the team are at ensuring my child grows and develops in the best way. If there have been any issues with my child
or problems I have needed sorting they have approached it professionally, sympathetically and supportive. Its been a pleasure and I am thankful of the strong bond they have made with my girl. She has loved her time here and always comes home happy and full of joy.

We are so grateful for the incredible care Sophie has received in the baby room. Having had Ellie attend in the past, we already knew the high standard of care provided, but the ladies in the baby room have exceeded our expectations! The staff are warm, attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely caring.
The environment is calm and welcoming, and lots of engaging activities are planned. Sophie is always eager to go to nursery each morning, and we feel confident leaving her in their care.

We have had a consistently wonderful experience with Storytimes. Our daughter absolutely loves her time there, and it's clear she feels happy, safe and engaged every day. The environment is warm, nurturing, and full of joy - exactly what you hope for as a parent. The toddlers team is fantastic. Their
energy, patience and creativity shine through in everything they do, and it's amazing to see how much the children thrive under their care. We also want to share our appreciation for the support we received when our older daughter started at the nursery back in 2021. Putting my son into Storytimes is by far the best decision I ever made. Since starting in October 2024 after being at another local nursery he has come on so much. The nursery has such a personal touch. Every member of staff knows your child, welcomes them in on a daily basis with a big smile and open
arms. The rooms are set up with so much thought for each child's individual interests to allow them to express themselves and thrive. The staff are amazing! So caring, encouraging and really spend time getting to know your child. Dropping my son off every day knowing he is going to have so much fun whilst learning makes it so much easier as a parent. The nursery is very well run, from management always being there to greet you with an hello or talk to you about something amazing your child did that day, to the staff in each room bringing out the best in my son, they really are real life angels. Choosing Storytimes as our son's nursery was one of the best decisions we've ever made. From the very first day, the warmth and professionalism of the staff made us feel confident and assured that he was in safe hands-and every day since has reaffirmed that feeling.
Our son has flourished emotionally
and socially. He walks through the doors of Storytimes each morning with excitement and leaves brimming with tales of the day, newfound skills, and a skip in his step. His confidence, independence, and compassion for others have grown tremendously-and it's all thanks to the loving environment fostered here.
The nursery is a haven of creativity and play. Whether he's painting masterpieces, running in the garden, dressing up as a superhero, or building blocks, each day is packed with opportunities to explore, imagine, and learn. The staff and children have fantastic bonds, and this comes from the love and support all staff and children are shown, which in turn enhances wellbeing for all!

I have two little ones at the nursery and all the staff have been amazing at helping them settle in and feel safe, happy and comfortable. If we have ever had concerns and raise it to a member of staff it is dealt with quickly and reported back to us. One of my children has dietary requirements and they
always make sure she has a great selection of things she likes. The staff always go above and beyond with their learning and development. One has been amazing with helping my daughter with her reading and writing. And two other staff members are fantastic at giving feedback when picking them up and filling me in on what they have been up to in the day. They really have a fantastic team who really care for the kids.

Storytimes is a well known nursery in the local community, after attending many baby groups in the local area its evident they have a fantastic reputation. The very first visit I felt so very welcomed and was blown away by the available experiences for the children. The staff are always smiling! My
child is so very happy and has built so much confidence, he really enjoys the story of the week which we continue with him at home! Great to have access to a lending library too. I love all my photos on the app and ongoing updates. You're all superstars!

My son has attended Storytimes since he was 7 months old and has recently moved up to the preschool room. As soon as I entered the nursery it felt so homely, the rooms are beautifully set up and the staff are so friendly. All the way through babies, tinies, toddlers and now pre-school he has loved coming
to nursery and has learned and developed so much. All the staff are amazing and treat the children as though they’re their own. There are always so many fun activities planned by the staff as well as weekly stretch & grow sessions and swimming lessons. Handovers are always very informative by staff and we get lots of photo updates on the app. His key worker is amazing and they have such a wonderful bond! I couldn’t be happier. From moving to this nursery from another nursery in the Atherton area I cannot fault Storytimes at all.
The staff within preschool especially one member of staff in particular whom my child has a lovely bond with, are all fantastic and work so hard to look after all the children in there. I’m sad
that my child has only been there a short while but it has made such a difference and I will be forever grateful to the staff for welcoming my child and us as parents.

My son has been going to Storytimes Nursery since he was 18 months old and he is due to start school in September. In the 3.5 years, I have had very little issues, but any that we did have, have been dealt with very smoothly and I have always been happy. The staff cannot do enough for you and are always
happy, approachable and always willing to help. His Key worker has proved time and time again that my son isn’t just another child you look after, but that she genuinely cares about him, and honestly goes above and beyond her duty of care as his Key Worker. I can’t thank her enough for that. I’d like to personally name everyone but all the girls are absolutely amazing, but two in particular cannot do enough for my son. Neither of them switch off at 6 pm when the nursery closes. If he has been poorly or we have a problem at home, they will always contact me to check on him to make sure he’s okay and always offer extra support when needed.
I would not send my child to any other nursery.

After attending a new nursery in February 2024 it feels like I took a pot plant to Storytimes.
Our concerns were always dismissed with some excuse that we had no choice but to accept.
No accident reports were made.
My child was always hungry and incredibly thirsty on pickup.
She didn’t speak
at nursery for three months while attending this nursery.
Every night the report back to us was, “she’s been great - she didn’t eat much, but she had a good go” and then described some non-vegan meal - then suddenly correct themselves at least half her attendance. I don’t even want to say much more I am so angry.
