Partou Storytimes Day Nursery & Pre-school is a magical new nursery in Atherton, providing exceptional care and education for children aged birth to five.

The newly refurbished nursery on Leigh Road boasts two fabulous outdoor play areas with a mud kitchen, dens, painting tunnel, bug hotel, theatre stage and more! The children go on expeditions into these adventure gardens every day, come rain or shine.

Storytimes’ bright spacious playrooms are filled with state-of-the-art toys and resources, helping children to learn in a stimulating environment. There are special rooms for all stages of development, from the soft and cosy Baby Rooms to the exciting Pre-school Rooms - where children are prepared for big school.

Children at the nursery enjoy a delicious seasonal menu bursting with fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. All of the nursery’s healthy meals and snacks are freshly prepared on-site by the Nursery Chef, and can be altered to meet any special dietary requirements.

Fun learning activities are supported by the nursery’s highly qualified team of childcare practitioners, who keep parents involved by keeping a Learning Journey for each child. Staff have enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training, with additional qualifications in paediatric first aid training.

Since my daughter started in January, being my first child and very nervous sending her, I have felt nothing but reassured since she started at Storytimes. The staff are amazing! Her key worker always takes the time to go out of her way to update both myself and my partner on her progress and include
activities that my daughter has a lot of interest in. The baby classroom has so much for the children to do and is full of age-appropriate toys. The app to look at your child’s progress is great, although it’s slightly delayed, so sometimes don’t always see what they have done that day as it’s not in real-time. I would fully recommend Storytime to any parent looking for childcare.

My child really enjoys attending Storytime's holiday club; he has great relationships with the staff, who are always happy and welcoming during arrival and collection times. The nursery has such a great space indoors and outdoors, offering a wide range of activities. The meals which are provided at
the cost are fantastic; there is a wide range of healthy snacks provided which my child enjoys.

Both of my nephews have gone to this nursery over the last few years. One left to start his permanent preschool, where he will stay in school, and my other nephew is still there in preschool.
The staff are absolutely great and very helpful. Both boys have loved every minute of it there. They do so
much with them and have great facilities and things for them to enjoy. Thank you, Storytime, for looking after our boys.

My two granddaughters have attended this nursery from being nine months old, and what can I say! The love and care the nursery practitioners provide are absolutely amazing! My grandaughters are now 4 and 15 months and have the most wonderful time and love to attend! Thank you so much to all the staff

I can’t rate Storytimes nursery highly enough. My daughter has attended for the past 2-years moving from the baby room, through to teenies, and is now in the toddler room. In every room, the staff have provided outstanding care with really well thought out activities and experiences.


It’s clear

the team put a lot of thought and effort into making every day an exciting learning experience for the children.


The communication from the nursery is fantastic, and it’s great to be able to see my daughters progress on the learning book app.


My daughter has built a lovely, really strong bond with the team that look after her, and I trust them implicitly with her care and development.

My daughter enjoys going to Storytimes nursery. She was nervous and worried when she first started but soon settled, and now tells me she has had a “great” morning. She has formed good relationships with the staff and talks to them confidently sharing all her news with them. Covid has prevented parents
from going into the nursery, but the staff have tried hard to compensate for this, for example recording the Christmas Nativity play so parents could still watch it.
I chose this nursery based on the bright, spacious environment and resources that were available and on personal recommendations from other parents I knew that had children attending Storytimes. The staff invite parents to share their knowledge about their children’s interests and likes to help them get to know the children and help them to plan relevant activities.
I feel happy each morning knowing my daughter is happy going into nursery.

The staff at Storytimes create a welcoming environment, which always leaves me confident and happy to leave my son there. I love receiving updates including pictures and videos of what my son is doing during his time at the nursery. He is always learning and developing during his time at nursery and
is always excited to go. The staff are always friendly and professional and always ensure they give a thorough handover at pick up time. The activities are always varied, and you can see the staff put a lot of effort into planning the activities. Thank you so much for working so hard, especially during these unprecedented times.

The staff at Storytimes are fantastic. Our eldest has been going since 4-months-old (now 3) and she loves it, our youngest has just started at 8-months and already has a wonderful relationship with her key worker in the baby room. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery.

I viewed a lot of nurseries before Storytimes, none gave me ‘that feeling’. After five minutes of chatting with the manager, I knew it was going to be the right place for us.
The girls knew how apprehensive I was about leaving the boys, and went above and beyond to make me feel at ease. The bonds that
the boys formed with the girls in such a short space of time was heartwarming. Nothing eases mum's gilt more than seeing your children running into the arms of the people that you are trusting to care for them, knowing they are happy and feel safe is everything to me.
I’ll never be able to put into words how grateful I am for the nurturing, fun and learning opportunities that you have all provided.
What a wonderful team you are.
You have made such a positive impact on our nursery experience.
An extra big fat thank you to you all - without fail always go the extra mile, the genuine care you have for the children is so special.

I have a child at this nursery, and they are amazing. They are so good with my child, he has thrived a lot since being there. He has been there for coming on two years now, and the support and care they provide is incredible. He can be quite challenging, and they are just amazing with him. I can’t thank
them enough, and they also offer great support for the parents as well. I have an older child who also goes to after school club, and he loves the staff there and always talks about how great every member of staff is,# and the activities they do. I would highly recommend this nursery to my friends and family. I don’t worry when my child is in their care and have only had the best outcome from sending him there...fabulous staff and service...he is also vegan, and they do a wonderful menu and accommodate any dietary needs...always a smile on the staffs face, and my son loves going - I couldn’t ask for more...happy parent, happy child as they say!

My daughter has attended storytimes nursery for 3-months now but started her settling in days 2-months previous to her start date. The staff were very good and patient at helping her to settle in, as it did take a long time, but we got there in the end.
The nursery never seems to be understaffed,
so the children are well looked after and have the best time with all the wonderful activities.
The staff are so lovely, and my daughter loves them. Each day they take time out to tell you daily events and answer any questions I have (as I do ask a lot of them).
I am very happy with my choice of the nursery, as my daughter is precious, and I trust this nursery and all the staff.
Happy staff makes a happy place, and I can see that as an outsider.

Team Storytimes are a fantastic team; they are supportive of families and develop good bonds with children.
