The Orchard Day Nursery Wimbledon

My daughter has been at The Orchard Day Nursery for about 2 months now and we have seen a real improvement in her development. The settling in period was brilliant and really helped her bond with her key worker. All staff are friendly and welcoming to both the children and parents. My daughter has always eaten really well at nursery and now sleeps well there too which is fantastic given shes been there for such a short amount of time. I'd have no issue with recommending the nursery to other families.

We had our 3-year-old daughter there. It was a fantastic experience, where we felt very supported. Excellent environment. Daily reliable communication with the staff. We saw clear positive improvement in our daughter in so many different aspects of development. Absolutely recommend.

My daughter has attended this nursery since turning 1 (she’s now coming up to 2 1/2) and loves it here. From the start, the team were welcoming and helped her (and me!) settle in well. They were also great at transitioning her into the 2-3s area when she turned 2. The open plan nature of the nursery means the children and staff all get to know each other and there’s a very friendly open attitude as well. The team clearly care a lot about the children and are so passionate about what they do.

We would not hesitate to recommend Orchard Day Nursery to other parents; our daughter is happy and well looked after by caring staff.

Orchard provide a safe and stimulating environment for both my children. Staff work creatively and with pedagogical knowledge to support their social and imaginative development. Both my children love coming to nursery and have a strong bond with their key workers.

Orchard offers a fantastic range of activities every day - there's always something different to do or explore. We love the food they provide and especially the daily reports.

There are a variety of activities available for children attending, including sports, drama and languages, although mostly in the morning.

My son had a few months where he was upset at drop off, but the staff dealt with it calmly and swiftly, and my smiling little boy was there at pick up, having had a great day.

Management has been responsive to our queries and supports the families really well.

Our son has been attending Orchard Day since he was about 18 month's old. Now 4, he enjoys attending the nursery and has made a lot of friends there. He is happy, confident and engaged and this is all down to the staff. Particularly his care worker but everyone at the nursery has made him feel welcome. It is a fun, active and educational environment and he has enjoyed and continues to learn new things every week. We are very happy with our experience and would recommend the nursery.

Overall this nursery gives me peace of mind that I'm leaving my daughter in safe hands, the staff are very friendly and caring towards all children. They adapt to every need and personality of the children. For example, my daughter is more a talker than walker so they've helped her advance in both to make sure she is getting the best for her age. The food is excellent, and she eats a lot, more than when she comes home. The fact that the food is fresh is a big plus about this nursery and its open plan, so the babies/infants can see the kitchen and smell the food, this makes a huge difference. This is definitely one of the huge factors I liked this nursery. The biggest factor about this nursery is that the area is open plan, there is no segregation between the different age brackets. The babies can see the infants and the infants can see the soon to be children. This helps with development and influencing the child to follow suit of other children; Major plus for my wife and I.

The outside area is large enough for trikes, water, sand, a mud kitchen, making dens, etc. as well as the sports activities which happen throughout the week. The children get plenty of time outside in the fresh air. As well as football and tennis, the nursery also has a children's drama and dance teacher come to the nursery weekly and they put together a show for parents at Christmas and graduation time which is lovely.
