The Orchard Day Nursery Wimbledon

My two daughters went to The Orchard Day Nursery. They have been both very happy there thanks to the amazing staff working at the nursery. They always went above and beyond to make the kids happy. The kids were involved in so many different activities, never a boring day! We also loved the open-plan arrangement of the nursery and the fact that all the children across all ages could interact.

My child loves going to nursery at Orchard Day. They have developed and progressed significantly developing their gross and fine motor skills significantly. Their social skills and talking have also improved with structured development on both. They are a very independent and happy child and feel comfortable with all of the staff there. They enjoy all of the food and we appreciate the catering to no or low sugar/salt options. The only improvement would be to keep driving even more communication with parents - we love to see photos/updates and developments and quick and timely updates around any issues or challenges.

We have supported The Orchard since it opened when our eldest daughter enrolled. Our second daughter just graduated this summer and we have another starting next year! We have no complaints at all - the staff have always been courteous, caring and fantastic with our children. The exceptional level of care is matched by the range of the activities on offer, with opportunities for the children to experience a different language, learn tennis (with Teddy Tennis) and other sports, form an interest in theatre (with Theatre Bugs). We have been thoroughly impressed with the development of both our children following their time at Orchard - they have moved seamlessly into reception at a great school in the area. There's no greater vote of confidence than to send the newest addition of our family to Orchard for more of the same. Highly recommended!

Very happy with Orchard Nursery. Our child has never been upset going in and smiles at whichever staff member greets her at the door. We appreciate the weekly photos and updates on the family app.

My son has been going to Orchard Day since March 2023 and it has been an amazing experience! The nursery was brilliant in helping my son adjust to going full-time and also great in helping ease anxiety. The curriculum is well thought out and we love that it covers not just learning but also helps children understand emotions, and feelings and how to communicate them.

Their outdoor space is small but really well utilised and we love that they cater to all our food requirements with care. My son absolutely loves going here and adores his minders and has formed great friendships.

I highly recommend it and would put my other kids in here as well!

My son has been attending The Orchard for just over 1 year now and coming from a childcare background my expectations were quite high. From the first show around the manager was very warm and welcoming and answered all my questions (there were a lot). My son settled in a lot quicker than I expected and before I knew it he was running in and saying bye Mum! The staff are so lovely and warm, always a smile on their faces and my son goes to everyone with open arms. The app is always updated, messages are responded to promptly and I can see from the photos my son is having a great day full of activities and fun. He is absolutely thriving already and we are so impressed with everything he is learning at nursery along with his confidence and independence. We are so thankful to the staff and the management team for giving us such a fantastic experience so far and we can't wait to continue watching our son develop in such a lovely setting. The team at The Orchard have made our daughter feel very welcome and we feel very happy with the care she’s getting. She’s excited to be dropped off each morning, and is clearly having lots of fun and learnings lots from the team.

We are delighted with The Orchard Day Nursery. Our daughters have attended (one still is) this wonderful place and it has exceeded our expectations. The staff genuinely care about the well-being and development of the children. Our daughters feel safe, loved and valued there. We are really happy as well with how accommodating the nursery is with parents, providing certain flexibility and facilitating pick-ups and drop-offs. We would highly recommend this nursery.

Since day one Orchard Day Nursery have been amazing - the team were very supportive during the settling-in week and really made our daughter feel welcome. She now absolutely loves it - the food is healthy and varied, she loves the outdoor and indoor play and we love receiving the weekly updates and photos to see what she has been up to. Would 100% recommend it.

No need to look any further! This nursery has it all! My son has been at The Orchard Day Nursery since March 2021 and my daughter was there since April 2018. We have got to know many members of staff who work here and all have been so kind, encouraging and such a support for my 2 children. The open plan aspect to the nursery is wonderful and it feels very inclusive amongst the different age groups. The meals are all freshly cooked by a wonderful chef and we receive daily updates to say that our son has eaten everything (and extra helpings!). The manager is super friendly and approachable and any queries are always quickly answered. I definitely can’t fault anything and myself and my husband feel very happy and grateful that our 2 children have been given such a positive start in life. Thanks, Orchard!

The nursery has been a wonderful place for my son, he really enjoys going and goes in happy and comes out happy. The staff and manager are very friendly and helpful when I have needed help and caring for my son’s needs. He is really developing and that is the help with the nursery

My daughter has been going to The Orchard Day Nursery since she was 9 months old. She is now in the 2-3 age group and she is excited to go into nursery every single morning. They have lots of varied activities for the children which keeps them stimulated and entertained. People who work there are friendly and caring. We definitely recommend the nursery to anyone looking.

We love Orchard Day Nursery. Our child has been there since the 2-3's room and now in pre-school. The carers and educators are kind, helpful, optimistic and fun. The nursery has lots of activities, covers key events of the year and is very open and inclusive in its syllabus. I am constantly in awe at how much our child has learnt, the growth in their development/skills and what they come home to share about their day. I've met like-minded families and it's a wonderful community to be a part of. The facilities have also recently been refurbished, such as the outdoor garden and there is a chef on-site for food/the kids' menu. The location is very convenient to transport and nearby amenities. I would highly recommend the nursery to any family looking, I am very happy we made the decision to go there!

Our son has been at the nursery for a year and a half, and we have had no problems whatsoever. The staff have always been enthusiastic and caring. Our son clearly learns lots of fun things that we couldn't reach him at home. The meals are healthy, and they have a good outside play area. The manager is prompt with admin. Both my children went to Orchard Day nursery with my youngest still attending. The staff are incredibly kind and caring with a low turnover, which is unusual for the industry but excellent for children because they grow up seeing the same faces and having their needs met. The technology is so good and I feel a part of my child’s day. I feel that the prices are fair and the staff are so good with the children who do such a wide variety of activities, from yoga and mindfulness to tennis and written learning. The food is also excellent! Personally, I feel that the nursery have excellent staff and the chef is excellent! The nursery is open plan and everything is clean. I know because my child’s socks aren’t horrifically dirty after a day in them!

The Orchard Day Nursery is an incredibly warm and happy place. It is a lovely open plan setting with great facilities but the dedication and level of care from their staff is its greatest strength. They are highly motivated, knowledgeable and kind which creates a very warm and supportive environment. My son had SEN issues and the work the nursery did with him and the support they gave us, was highly appreciated. Included in my praise of the staff, is the chef who is amazing and the children are very lucky!
