The Orchard Day Nursery Wimbledon

I am thrilled to share my wonderful experience at my child's nursery, where my two sons have been attending. The commitment they show to nurturing and educating the children is evident in everything they do.

I wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a loving and enriching environment for their children.

We have enjoyed sending our 2 girls to this nursery for several years and been so pleased with our choice. The staff are ever so kind and creative with the activities they run for the children. The on-site kitchen and chef is designed to inspire a good relationship with food and we have been very impressed with the varied selection of hot, healthy food and snacks that are provided. They provide several events for parents and care givers to attend through the year and we very much enjoyed the recent graduation ceremony for our eldest daughter. Our youngest also has some health conditions which the staff have been especially careful with and for which we were very grateful. Our children get up to all sorts of messy play, sandpits, garden time and learning skills like tennis, Spanish, theatre, phonics, play time with a mixture of toys and waterplay. They are always looking at ways to improve the environment and upgraded their garden during our time there, the extended hours are helpful too

We couldn't be happier with our experience at The Orchard! It's a truly nurturing environment where each child is cared for with genuine warmth and attention.

The preschool curriculum is thoughtfully designed, blending fun with foundational learning in a way that really prepares them for school, while still letting them enjoy being little.

We also love how communication with parents is open and consistent, making us feel like true partners in our child's early education.

The nursery also offers a wide range of activities, from Theatre Bugs to Teddy Tennis to the Spanish classes, which our child really enjoys!

Another highlight for us has been the healthy, freshly cooked meals provided each day.

Our overall experience of The Orchard Day Nursery has been very positive, with their warm home from home care and nurturing environment. The staff and management have been very approachable and extremely supportive of my child's needs, abilities and emotional development, which have been the primary factors in the learning process. The Orchard Day Nursery follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to a satisfactory level with a weekly review on learning and personal development observational updates.

We could not recommend this nursery highly enough. Our 3 children have all attended and we are impressed every day by the dedication, kindness and support of all of the staff. The nursery manager, goes above and beyond to ensure the children have a variety of stimulating activities and is always looking for ways to improve the nursery. The nursery is a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment, and the staff all seem so happy and work together as a fantastic team.

The children enjoy different sessions such as theatre bugs, Spanish lessons and tennis, and a huge effort goes into recognising different occasions throughout the year. Any concerns are always dealt with quickly, and our son had extra support with his speech and language from the nursery. We are so grateful to all the staff.

My twin boys have been attending Orchard Day Nursery for almost 3 years. They both really enjoy going to nursery and run in happily each morning! The nursery has good facilities with a lovely outside space and a large open plan setting. The best thing about this nursery is the incredible staff. They are really friendly, caring and nurturing and have helped my boys develop and thrive. They also keep parents well informed of children's development and progress, which is really helpful. I'm so glad I chose Orchard Day Nursery as we've had an amazing experience and will be sad to leave once my boys start reception.

My two daughters went to The Orchard Day Nursery. They have been both very happy there thanks to the amazing staff working at the nursery. They always went above and beyond to make the kids happy. The kids were involved in so many different activities, never a boring day! We also loved the open-plan arrangement of the nursery and the fact that all the children across all ages could interact.

My child loves going to nursery at Orchard Day. They have developed and progressed significantly developing their gross and fine motor skills significantly. Their social skills and talking have also improved with structured development on both. They are a very independent and happy child and feel comfortable with all of the staff there. They enjoy all of the food and we appreciate the catering to no or low sugar/salt options. The only improvement would be to keep driving even more communication with parents - we love to see photos/updates and developments and quick and timely updates around any issues or challenges.

We have supported The Orchard since it opened when our eldest daughter enrolled. Our second daughter just graduated this summer and we have another starting next year! We have no complaints at all - the staff have always been courteous, caring and fantastic with our children. The exceptional level of care is matched by the range of the activities on offer, with opportunities for the children to experience a different language, learn tennis (with Teddy Tennis) and other sports, form an interest in theatre (with Theatre Bugs). We have been thoroughly impressed with the development of both our children following their time at Orchard - they have moved seamlessly into reception at a great school in the area. There's no greater vote of confidence than to send the newest addition of our family to Orchard for more of the same. Highly recommended!

Very happy with Orchard Nursery. Our child has never been upset going in and smiles at whichever staff member greets her at the door. We appreciate the weekly photos and updates on the family app.

My son has been going to Orchard Day since March 2023 and it has been an amazing experience! The nursery was brilliant in helping my son adjust to going full-time and also great in helping ease anxiety. The curriculum is well thought out and we love that it covers not just learning but also helps children understand emotions, and feelings and how to communicate them.

Their outdoor space is small but really well utilised and we love that they cater to all our food requirements with care. My son absolutely loves going here and adores his minders and has formed great friendships.

I highly recommend it and would put my other kids in here as well!

My son has been attending The Orchard for just over 1 year now and coming from a childcare background my expectations were quite high. From the first show around the manager was very warm and welcoming and answered all my questions (there were a lot). My son settled in a lot quicker than I expected and before I knew it he was running in and saying bye Mum! The staff are so lovely and warm, always a smile on their faces and my son goes to everyone with open arms. The app is always updated, messages are responded to promptly and I can see from the photos my son is having a great day full of activities and fun. He is absolutely thriving already and we are so impressed with everything he is learning at nursery along with his confidence and independence. We are so thankful to the staff and the management team for giving us such a fantastic experience so far and we can't wait to continue watching our son develop in such a lovely setting. The team at The Orchard have made our daughter feel very welcome and we feel very happy with the care she’s getting. She’s excited to be dropped off each morning, and is clearly having lots of fun and learnings lots from the team.

We are delighted with The Orchard Day Nursery. Our daughters have attended (one still is) this wonderful place and it has exceeded our expectations. The staff genuinely care about the well-being and development of the children. Our daughters feel safe, loved and valued there. We are really happy as well with how accommodating the nursery is with parents, providing certain flexibility and facilitating pick-ups and drop-offs. We would highly recommend this nursery.

Since day one Orchard Day Nursery have been amazing - the team were very supportive during the settling-in week and really made our daughter feel welcome. She now absolutely loves it - the food is healthy and varied, she loves the outdoor and indoor play and we love receiving the weekly updates and photos to see what she has been up to. Would 100% recommend it.

No need to look any further! This nursery has it all! My son has been at The Orchard Day Nursery since March 2021 and my daughter was there since April 2018. We have got to know many members of staff who work here and all have been so kind, encouraging and such a support for my 2 children. The open plan aspect to the nursery is wonderful and it feels very inclusive amongst the different age groups. The meals are all freshly cooked by a wonderful chef and we receive daily updates to say that our son has eaten everything (and extra helpings!). The manager is super friendly and approachable and any queries are always quickly answered. I definitely can’t fault anything and myself and my husband feel very happy and grateful that our 2 children have been given such a positive start in life. Thanks, Orchard!
