Located close to the heart of Birmingham, N Family Club – Harborne is housed in a period building. Having been sensitively refurbished in 2022, the nursery is packed full of features, including light-filled playrooms, a sensory room to support mindfulness and yoga sessions and a family lending library. Outside, the spacious garden large garden comes complete with a climbing structure, slide, race track. Regular Forest School-inspired sessions (where children build dens, explore bug hotels and cook outside) also form an important part of the core programme.

Fresh, healthy meals are prepared every day on-site by the in-house chef. Former Head of Nutrition at Jamie Oliver – Laura Matthews – has been working with N Family Club since 2017 to ensure that the seasonal menu supports the developmental needs of every child.

At N, nursery is more than just daycare. It's a community of parents and educators working together to provide the best possible start for the children at N. N's in-house training programme – The N Academy – supports and encourages educators to continue to develop their early years practice. For parents, N have created The Family Hub. An online blog where parents can find parenting tips and advice from the education team as well as leading early years experts. Parents also have access to online parenting talks on topics such as sleep, weaning, potty training, and much more.

Have nothing but excellent things to say about our nursery. The boys love it and have thrived there. Their care givers are exceptional and we even had a friend sign up their toddler following our recommendation. Facilities are recently renovated/updated so cant be faulted. The kitchen produces thoughtful,
healthy meals that the kids enjoy more than what we provide at home.

N Family in Harborne is a great nursery. The staff are incredible. They are so caring and love every single child who walks through the door. My child has learnt so much. He is very good at communicating his feelings and taking turns, and he is just a lovely caring boy and this is a direct result of
the care and attention they give him. The food is very nutritious and looks delicious. My little boy certainly loves it. The managers are very accommodating and provide us with clear information on upcoming events.

This is a fantastic nursery with fantastic staff. Both my children attend the nursery and receive lots of love and great care. The nursery staff are always accommodating and nothing is ever too much. I would highly recommend the nursery to all parents.

Our daughter has been at N Family Club Harborne since May 2022 and I can honestly say it’s the best decision we made for her. She took a while to settle (due to her temperament) but the staff were and have continued to be so patient, kind and supportive. It really does feel like a “family” as all staff
are friendly and involved. She loves nursery now and always talks about her friends and educators in her room. Highly recommend.

My little boy has been at N Family Club Harborne for the last four months and he absolutely loves it! The staff are incredibly caring and it is clear they are passionate about their work and the children they look after. Our son has built up a strong bond with his key person (and the rest of the team)
and he really enjoys the huge variety of planned activities they facilitate. We are given a comprehensive handover at the end of each day and we also receive photo updates via the nursery app. This is so nice to see and it was especially reassuring during his settling-in period. The food is of a very high standard, nutritionally balanced and looks very tasty! We would not hesitate to recommend N Family Club to anyone in the Birmingham area.

The nursery is such a friendly environment and front of house and management staff always make you feel very welcome. Key workers in the rooms are enthusiastic and greet us with a smile every day, they are fantastic at making our son feel comfortable, even on days when he’s finding it hard to say goodbye.
The handovers at the end of the day are really informative and staff really know what our child’s interests are. Activities are creative, exciting and varied and there is a fantastic garden with great equipment for the children to play with. The food is great, really nutritious and the chef is brilliant when dealing with food allergies. There is a breakfast bar for parents which really helps on a day when I’m in a rush and haven’t managed breakfast and there is always someone on hand to answer any questions you may have. The family events out on throughout the year have meant that we have made some really good friends ourselves too!

Amazing nursery! The staff are super friendly, caring and knowledgeable. They do a range of activities and I feel my little one is developing well in so many areas. Amazing nursery! My little one loves it here and we are delighted of the progress recorded during her assessments! From day one, my child has had a great experience, made many friends and developed well overall with his learning.
One thing that I would improve is consistency with key workers. Though we don't think that this has affected his learning experience, consistent and key workers would be ideal.

It really is the most amazing nursery. We moved from another setting and were impressed from the very start. The care and attention to getting to know your child as an individual is outstanding. All staff knows all the children’s names even if they are not in the room they work in. As a parent you feel
listened to and understood and nothing is ever too much. The food is outstanding, the activities in the rooms are fantastic. Our little one has come on leaps and bounds since starting at N Family Club. We cannot find a single fault with this nursery, it truly has a sense of belonging and promotes equality and diversity and provides truly the most wonderful care for the children.

Really friendly and dedicated staff, great at transitioning my second child into the nursery and welcoming to everyone. Food (for children and parents) is delicious. Children do a wide range of activities and absolutely love being there.

N Family Harborne really is a special part of our family and has been now for the last 13 months. The attention, love and care they give to our son is just wonderful. Since being at nursery he has come on leaps and bounds in all aspects of his little life. What they teach and the way in which it is
taught is just fantastic and our son absolutely loves it. The excitement on his face on nursery days is so lovely to see. I would highly recommend N Family Harborne to all.

Our daughter has been at N Family Club Edgbaston since 10 months old and has absolutely loved it. It's been such a relief to us to drop her off knowing she is so happy there. She has been so fond of both her key people. One of the big differentiators we found compared to other nurseries in the area
is the food on offer. We think the range and breadth of what has been offered has prevented her becoming a fussy eater. Sadly we're leaving the area so are now trying to find somewhere as good!

Martina Reidy

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2021

Martina was born in Ireland but has been living in Birmingham since 2014. She's been working in early years education for the past 20 years. Martina studied Montessori education, child physiology and supervision in childcare qualifications and has worked in various outstanding nurseries including some Montessori Schools.


In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, particularly cooking for them and getting together for dinner.
