Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Kettering offers children a great early years learning experience.   

With rooms for various age ranges and each room reflects the seven areas of learning, as prescribed in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Regular classes including music and movement sessions called ‘Hartbeeps’.

Fees are inclusive of freshly prepared breakfast, lunch, tea, snacks and drinks, branded nappies, wipes and creams.

Daily menus are selected by a professional nutritionist to meet energy requirements of children.

I have noticed many positive changes in my son since he started at Monkey Puzzle, his speech has come along amazingly! I really like the way the nursery staff communicate and interact with parents, always ensuring we know progress with our child. We are always told how his session went and things he
got up to, which is great! All staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, with my son being sometimes conscious of his speech it is fantastic that no one is judgmental which he appreciates so much as he has the confidence to bring his brother to nursery. I love the variety of foods that are prepared for the children, and that we are told what is eaten and how much it is extremely helpful. The app is always updated with important information and is extremely easy to navigate, it also makes communication very simple. My son always comes home extremely happy, well fed thankyou so much Monkey Puzzle!

Amazing support for me and my baby, when my baby wasn’t settling to start with as it was her first time at nursery, I was constantly updated on how well she was getting on and what she was doing, allowing me to see her now loving nursery.

The management and staff have been totally amazing in my daughter's transition from another nursery.

I first found this nursery when they were doing their stay 'n play days on Thursdays I think it was. From the minute I walked in the staff were so welcoming and so friendly. The space they have is great, it’s tucked behind a church and off the main roads. When I got inside, the rooms were so spacious
and free-flowing and when I had a look around another nursery in the area, Monkey Puzzle definitely won out of the two. When setting my daughter up to start going they made it so easy and stress-free to fill in all the forms. Every single member I’ve had contact with I’ve had nothing but good vibes and such a positivity aura about them. My daughter literally runs in the door every time she goes to nursery and she is loving every second of her time there and I think that’s really important, if your kid is happy then as a mum you’re happy. I can’t thank the manager enough for helping with the funding side of things and putting me at ease with everything.

All of the staff are so warm and welcoming I feel like signing myself up. The food always looks great and my boy seems to enjoy it! There so many activities for the little ones and with all the staff enthusiasm it really pays off. I notice differences in my child every week where he has learnt something
more. They really are faultless and would highly recommend anyone looking for a nursery that your child will be left in safe hands with the incredible staff.

The nursery is brilliant, my son has really come out of himself. The ladies are so kind and helpful not only to the kids but parents too. As a 1st time mum and dealing with dropping my little one off and them getting upset which made me upset at the beginning, the girls just reassured my little one
and myself and now we just say bye have a cuddle and walk off. That’s how I know it’s a brilliant nursery as my little one has settled right in.

When I first decided to put my little boy into a nursery I was so nervous and scared about leaving him with people I didn't know, when I walked in the manager and staff were so lovely, they made me and my little one feel welcome and it was a very good first impression. My little boy gets so excited
to come to nursery now, he greets all of the staff with a smile and you can see how loved he is there.
I honestly can't thank the staff enough for everything they have done for us both already. It is a very professional and well-organised nursery, his learning journal is always up to date, I can see what he's doing throughout the day on the family website which is lovely for me if I ever want to check on him.
I love how encouraging the staff are with my little one and how they work closely with the partners. He really does love it there and you can see the staff are really enjoying their journey with him too. Thank you for making every day enjoyable for him!

Absolutely fantastic nursery. My daughters first week was great, she loved it all.
The Family app is great as we can keep updated with what she is doing throughout the day. All staff are very friendly and approachable. Also the manager is fantastic nothing is to much hassle. The kids play area is
really good with a lot of choice for outdoor play.

I am very pleased I chose this nursery for my child. The staff are brilliant, always smiling and very helpful as I have a child that is clingy and doesn’t like leaving me in the mornings. Our daughter has been going to Monkey Puzzle since January and she loves it so much. She only goes once a week but I can see how happy she is every time we drop her off. She is always chatting away to the girls and they are so good with her. It's our first child and I was apprehensive leaving her but

My little girl loves monkey puzzle and so do I. Communication is excellent and so are the staff and activities. She does so much here and is always bringing things home. Parents are kept up to date daily via an app with photos, messages and routines. I can honestly say I can't fault a thing!! The staff

Monkey puzzle sessions are the highlight of the day for my daughter. Through the caring and personal attention given by the manager and her staff, I feel comfortable and confident in my little one's happiness and progress through her preschool learning.


The nursery is very good at keeping parents

up to date on progress and various activities being undertaken but the children. I look forward to the pictures and updates on the family app.


My daughter has several food allergies, yet she always loves the food she eats, and helps to prepare, at Monkey Puzzle, who always ensure she does not suffer a lack at mealtimes due to her restrictive diet.


I highly recommend the nursery.

Michelle is a Qualified Teacher holding a Bachelor of Education (Hons), Qualified teaching status as well as a Master of Arts Degree specialising in Early Years Education. She has been working in education and childcare for over 15 years, as well as bringing up her two children, who attend/attended their settings.


When asked why she wanted to work with children, Michelle replied ” I have always wanted to be work with children. I love their energy, honesty and their total love of everything fun and exciting. I really enjoy sharing new ideas and experiences with them. My hope is that I can create a fun, exciting and caring learning environment. I have a lot of patience, enthusiasm, creativity and enjoy helping children (and adults) to discover new things. I want to create an environment that is exciting and fun for the children and my staff. As long as children are given, love, support and encouragement they will succeed. Job satisfaction was the most important factor in choosing a career, and working with children, I believe, is the ultimate choice.”


Since moving to the UK, from South Africa in 2007, Michelle has worked for the National Autistic Society as a teacher creating highly motivating, sensory, dynamic and visually based lessons. After having her first child she branched out into Childminding and received an Outstanding from Ofsted. Michelle has experience of working with children who have multiple barriers to their learning with a vast array of needs and abilities. She hopes to pass on this knowledge to her staff and will use her previous experience as a sound base for coaching and staff development.


Michelle is a good people manager, believing that open honesty, clarity and consideration go a long way in inspiring the best from people. She has a strong work ethos and is highly adaptable, motivated and incredibly enthusiastic.

Simon Mobey

Job Title: Co-owner, Maintenance and Facilities Manager Joined: 2016

Simon is one of our owners, and is responsible for all things building, site and maintenance. He is a qualified electrician holding 17th Edition city & Guilds, CDM Construction Design Manager, British Safety Council Level 2 ‘Risk Assessment, Fire Warden, LGWSETA trade Test-Electrician (SA), National N3 Certificate (SA).


Simon has the amazing task of creating and building special requests for our team as well as building, upgrading and our fantastic Nursery. He works tirelessly in repairing, building and generally making our Amazing Nursery even more awesome.


In 2015 Michelle and Simon opened their first Nursery, Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough. Michelle managed this until late 2016. In 2017 Michelle & Simon opened their second beautiful setting Monkey Puzzle Kettering. Following on from the success of these two amazing settings in, July 2018 Michelle and Simon took over ownership of Monkey Puzzle Bedford.
