Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Kettering offers children a great early years learning experience.   

With rooms for various age ranges and each room reflects the seven areas of learning, as prescribed in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Regular classes including music and movement sessions called ‘Hartbeeps’.

Fees are inclusive of freshly prepared breakfast, lunch, tea, snacks and drinks, branded nappies, wipes and creams.

Daily menus are selected by a professional nutritionist to meet energy requirements of children.

A hidden gem in the centre of Kettering. Relatively new compared to the well known larger nurseries in Kettering. Great manager, welcoming, informative, bubbly, knowledgeable and totally committed. The staff are noticeably well presented, smiley and friendly too, they genuinely look happy in their work
which is reassuring.
The daily activities are always different but the days are full and fun packed. The garden area is a real adventure playground with plenty of space to keep them running around.
Food is varied and with snacks through the day too, the cook is very experienced and great to see so much prepared freshly.
My daughter has come on leaps and bounds with her knowledge and vocabulary and she just loves going there. She goes for 2.5 days a week and would enjoy going longer I’m sure.
The IT system used keeps parents/caters updated during the day, cannot recommend it highly enough

Amazing nursery, amazing staff. My daughter has excelled at everything since joining the nursery, and I believe that's down to the staff and the manager. They have helped her to master potty training and help her overcome her fear of messy play. I can't wait to watch her develop further with the support

Monkey Puzzle is an amazing nursery for any child in my opinion. The staff are so kind and caring and have an excellent relationship with the children, you can see just how much each child means to the staff.
On an open day, the kitchen did some food tasters and it was so reassuring to know that my
child was eating fresh, healthy, fulfilling meals and enjoying them.
The nursery and staff are 2nd to none and I can't recommend them enough.

I can't speak highly enough about Monkey Puzzle. My son started in January and found it hard at first but due to the fabulous, kind and caring staff he soon settled and he runs in now. The learning environment is very stimulating and displays a lot of the children's work. Learning activities are varied
and engaging. The outside area is fantastic with a mud kitchen, slide, road with trikes and a sandpit. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and professional. Communication is excellent.

Lovely nursery with very friendly staff. They have plenty of activities for my little one who loves the outdoors. Also, it's a safe environment with its own parking spaces. Lastly, I love that it uses the Family app which ensures that I am always informed with the ongoings at the nursery. Thumbs up

Stunning setting in which my little one has flourished. The staff are amazing and nurture her, the chef and food is excellent and she finishes all her lunch. My daughter has been at Monkey Puzzle since it opened. The staff are fantastic with my daughter and with us as a family. My daughter took a while to settle in the blue room, but the staff were always there to help her. My daughter talks about school all the time and loves her time with you all. You're

We couldn’t wish for a better nursery
1. This was our first experience placing a child in nursery so we were worried about leaving her, the love and support that she’d receive, and her being happy. We needn’t have worried - the staff were incredible in the support that they’ve given us, in going out
of their way to facilitate our daughter successfully settling in, and in the bond that they’ve formed with her.
2. The range of activities are fantastic.
3. The meals are excellent - she probably eats better than at home!
4. The attitude of the staff is exemplary. They are a credit to their profession and clearly truly care. They are as proud of our daughter as we are and that means so much to us.
5. The rooms, equipment and facilities are excellent. My wife and I always go to the weekend playdays as we’re big kids at heart and love the toys that they have!
6. The progress that our daughter has made during her first year at Monkey Puzzle is testament to the dedication of the staff.

Amazing nursery! From the very first phone call I made I was made to feel very welcome. My son loves his morning and two afternoon sessions each week. We love Monkey Puzzle Kettering.
Our daughter goes for 2 days a week, she's a different person when she leaves compared to when she arrives. So confident and chatty. She loves the staff and they clearly love her. She's thriving in their care.

My beautiful granddaughter joined the nursery and we have all been so lucky that she literally loves everyone. The staff are friendly and a very important factor is that the nursery is clean. The food is also brilliant and the cook also spends time with the children doing cooking.

I was so lucky to be recommended this nursery and I will continue to pass that on as my boy (just turned one) has learned so much since attending. I was a bit nervous at leaving him with a nursery when I returned to work but they have made us feel very welcome and I feel 100% about leaving him in their
care.
He was slightly behind in mobility skills and believe he has now caught up from being here so I’m happy to recommend anyone to send their children/babies here.

Michelle is a Qualified Teacher holding a Bachelor of Education (Hons), Qualified teaching status as well as a Master of Arts Degree specialising in Early Years Education. She has been working in education and childcare for over 15 years, as well as bringing up her two children, who attend/attended their settings.


When asked why she wanted to work with children, Michelle replied ” I have always wanted to be work with children. I love their energy, honesty and their total love of everything fun and exciting. I really enjoy sharing new ideas and experiences with them. My hope is that I can create a fun, exciting and caring learning environment. I have a lot of patience, enthusiasm, creativity and enjoy helping children (and adults) to discover new things. I want to create an environment that is exciting and fun for the children and my staff. As long as children are given, love, support and encouragement they will succeed. Job satisfaction was the most important factor in choosing a career, and working with children, I believe, is the ultimate choice.”


Since moving to the UK, from South Africa in 2007, Michelle has worked for the National Autistic Society as a teacher creating highly motivating, sensory, dynamic and visually based lessons. After having her first child she branched out into Childminding and received an Outstanding from Ofsted. Michelle has experience of working with children who have multiple barriers to their learning with a vast array of needs and abilities. She hopes to pass on this knowledge to her staff and will use her previous experience as a sound base for coaching and staff development.


Michelle is a good people manager, believing that open honesty, clarity and consideration go a long way in inspiring the best from people. She has a strong work ethos and is highly adaptable, motivated and incredibly enthusiastic.

Simon Mobey

Job Title: Co-owner, Maintenance and Facilities Manager Joined: 2016

Simon is one of our owners, and is responsible for all things building, site and maintenance. He is a qualified electrician holding 17th Edition city & Guilds, CDM Construction Design Manager, British Safety Council Level 2 ‘Risk Assessment, Fire Warden, LGWSETA trade Test-Electrician (SA), National N3 Certificate (SA).


Simon has the amazing task of creating and building special requests for our team as well as building, upgrading and our fantastic Nursery. He works tirelessly in repairing, building and generally making our Amazing Nursery even more awesome.


In 2015 Michelle and Simon opened their first Nursery, Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough. Michelle managed this until late 2016. In 2017 Michelle & Simon opened their second beautiful setting Monkey Puzzle Kettering. Following on from the success of these two amazing settings in, July 2018 Michelle and Simon took over ownership of Monkey Puzzle Bedford.

Paige has been working for Monkey Puzzle for 4 years, she took over the Kettering branch in April 2023 and is leading the nursery to great success.
