Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Kettering offers children a great early years learning experience.   

With rooms for various age ranges and each room reflects the seven areas of learning, as prescribed in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Regular classes including music and movement sessions called ‘Hartbeeps’.

Fees are inclusive of freshly prepared breakfast, lunch, tea, snacks and drinks, branded nappies, wipes and creams.

My wife and I decided to move our child to Monkey Puzzle after the previous nursery our child was attending didn't seem to fit his needs.
From the get-go, we were presented with a very smiley and friendly welcome.
My wife attended a 'show around' and was instantly impressed with the facilities and
how the staff interacted with the children.
As part of the settling in period, our child attended short sessions and felt instantly at home. Both my wife and I could see a difference in our child, he seemed much happier.
When our child started, we were given a login to an application which gives us daily updates on our child's activities during the day, pictures of our child playing and also a rundown of what had been eaten at lunchtime.
We feel confident that our child will thrive and continue to develop fully while attending Monkey Puzzle.
My wife and I would recommend Monkey Puzzle as they offer the whole package, finished off with a friendly smile.

My child loves the nursery they are always busy participating in new activities! Their communication and learning has excelled while attending! The staff are lovely friendly and can't do enough to make nursery an amazing, fun and enjoyable experience.
It’s hard enough leaving your child but when you

The team at Monkey Puzzle Kettering are extremely caring and I feel so safe leaving my daughter with them. It was very difficult for me to do at first but I actually feel they are a little family and have complete trust in them.


My daughter has learnt so much since being there and I only wish she

could go more often as she loves it so much.

My Grandaughter started at Monkey Puzzle three weeks ago. The staff go above and beyond to make sure she is happy. We had numerous show rounds - Mummy and I, Mummy and Daddy and even Aunty and Great granny! We asked question after question as we wanted to know our little girl was going to be in safe
hands. They booked her in for settling in sessions and we felt that she needed an extra one which they were more than happy to accommodate. They keep us informed of what she is doing throughout the day and we all look forward to receiving photos of her. The outside play area is amazing, which was important as she loves being outdoors.
The rooms are colourful, clean and filled with some fabulous toys.
Security is the best I’ve ever seen.
All staff are so smiley and friendly and take time out to speak to me when I collect her.
My Grandaughter is so happy there and if she’s happy then we’re happy.

My grandson has been coming here since October and I think he may be the youngest child here (11 months). Seeing the photos of him today 15.1.19 sitting down and doing some sticking melted my heart. The staff at this nursery are so pleasant and patient that they took the time to sit with him watching
and helping if needed to do this and by the look on his little face he looked like he was having the time of his life. Thank you.

My grandson really enjoys his time at the nursery and loves to tell us about his day and the activities and the resources he has played with. I am always greeted with a smile when arriving at the nursery. It's also nice that the staff truly take the time to get to know my son. My son now eats more at nursery then he does at home (such variety). He settled in with ease mainly due to the patience and flexibility of the staff and his key worker.

After seeing a few nurseries and started some settle in sessions to another nursery, we went to an open day at Monkey Puzzle and we changed our mind.
The settling in was not easy for us in terms of my daughter being very attached to us (parents), so she would cry at drop off. However, most of the times
she would have stopped before me leaving the nursery.
It was really important the fact that they were patient with both of us and they were always supportive. I greatly appreciate that.
I find the manager, really nice, knowledgeable and she managed to reassure me even when I thought I can’t do it.
My daughter's key person has been fantastic in bonding with my baby girl, getting her distracted (feeding the rabbit) and giving her cuddles when she needed.
I also think the cook and the rest of the girls are lovely and do a fantastic job.
It is a great nursery with lovely educational resources. I also like the creative and messy play activities.
I definitely recommend Monkey Puzzle.

As a first time mum, it is always difficult to leave your child in nursery. I was nervous and scared but the manager and the staff were very supportive and lovely explaining everything to me.
My little boy, who was crying at the beginning, ended up telling me he had ”big fun at nursery today“.
It
is a very well-organised nursery with large open spaces to play. Beautiful garden. The learning process is documented in-learning journal.
I highly recommend to anyone.

Michelle is a Qualified Teacher holding a Bachelor of Education (Hons), Qualified teaching status as well as a Master of Arts Degree specialising in Early Years Education. She has been working in education and childcare for over 15 years, as well as bringing up her two children, who attend/attended their settings.


When asked why she wanted to work with children, Michelle replied ” I have always wanted to be work with children. I love their energy, honesty and their total love of everything fun and exciting. I really enjoy sharing new ideas and experiences with them. My hope is that I can create a fun, exciting and caring learning environment. I have a lot of patience, enthusiasm, creativity and enjoy helping children (and adults) to discover new things. I want to create an environment that is exciting and fun for the children and my staff. As long as children are given, love, support and encouragement they will succeed. Job satisfaction was the most important factor in choosing a career, and working with children, I believe, is the ultimate choice.”


Since moving to the UK, from South Africa in 2007, Michelle has worked for the National Autistic Society as a teacher creating highly motivating, sensory, dynamic and visually based lessons. After having her first child she branched out into Childminding and received an Outstanding from Ofsted. Michelle has experience of working with children who have multiple barriers to their learning with a vast array of needs and abilities. She hopes to pass on this knowledge to her staff and will use her previous experience as a sound base for coaching and staff development.


Michelle is a good people manager, believing that open honesty, clarity and consideration go a long way in inspiring the best from people. She has a strong work ethos and is highly adaptable, motivated and incredibly enthusiastic.

Simon Mobey

Job Title: Co-owner, Maintenance and Facilities Manager Joined: 2016

Simon is one of our owners, and is responsible for all things building, site and maintenance. He is a qualified electrician holding 17th Edition city & Guilds, CDM Construction Design Manager, British Safety Council Level 2 ‘Risk Assessment, Fire Warden, LGWSETA trade Test-Electrician (SA), National N3 Certificate (SA).


Simon has the amazing task of creating and building special requests for our team as well as building, upgrading and our fantastic Nursery. He works tirelessly in repairing, building and generally making our Amazing Nursery even more awesome.


In 2015 Michelle and Simon opened their first Nursery, Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough. Michelle managed this until late 2016. In 2017 Michelle & Simon opened their second beautiful setting Monkey Puzzle Kettering. Following on from the success of these two amazing settings in, July 2018 Michelle and Simon took over ownership of Monkey Puzzle Bedford.

Paige has been working for Monkey Puzzle for 4 years, she took over the Kettering branch in April 2023 and is leading the nursery to great success.
