Children 1st Hathern Nursery School

My child has been at this wonderful nursery for 10 months now, and I can’t thank the managers and staff enough for all they do. It’s amazing how much they do with the children and how the nursery are having to adapt to these hard times. My child is always happy when he’s there and he’s learning so much. Thank you Children's 1st Hathern.

As first-time parents, we could not be happier with our choice of nursery with Children’s First Hathern. The team are very friendly and welcoming that it makes me feel at ease that our daughter is absolutely in the best place to learn, grow, have plenty of cuddles and most important to have plenty of fun. Her teachers are brilliant. She has a huge smile every time she arrives at nursery - what is a better review than that! She loves it.

I love the structure of this nursery, my daughter is going up to big school next year and the teachers are preparing her for that. I love that she comes home having learnt a new lesson every day, there is always great communication I wish I put her in this nursery from the beginning.

From the moment I walked into this nursey, when I was eight months pregnant, I knew it was the right place to send my daughter. The staff are welcoming, kind and conscientious. They have fantastic outdoor facilities and a 'no shoes' policy in the baby room which is excellent. The food is exemplary and we upped my daughter from two days a week to four days because she loves it so much. More often than not, she will be crying when we pick her up because she doesn't want to leave. If you are looking for a safe, nurturing and educational place to send your little one, this is it. Magical.

My baby who is 1 and a half years old now has been in nursery at Hathern for over 8 plus months now. The nursery staff are extremely friendly and provide the love and affection for the baby. My baby enjoys going to the nursery and we can see clear developmental improvements in his skills including speaking. We are not UK nationals and speak a different language at home but the nursery staff have managed to smoothly transition my baby to adopt an English speaking setting. The nursery also accommodates his dietary requirements and is well equipped and has an amazing environment. I am so glad I chose Children 1st Hathern for my baby.

The graduation show was organised so well by the Hathern team. Great venue, children were so well behaved. The team put their heart and soul into everything they do. They are a strong and happy team. The facilities are amazing and I am happy to recommend to any parent.

My daughter has attended this nursery for the past three years and she loves the nursery. Nice and very supportive staff.

We have moved house for work a few times so my son has had 3 new nurseries. He never enjoyed going, particularly my youngest son. However, since day one they have loved going to Children 1st@ Hathern. The staff make a huge effort to help them learn through play. They learn the letter and colour of the week and track progress against targets of the term. They give detailed feedback at the end of each day and send them home with a little healthy snack on the way out. The facilities are excellent with a large outdoor garden and lots of indoor space to learn and play. The staff show a genuine interest in my children and seem to enjoy them as much as I do. When I pick them up now they cry because they don’t want to leave! Another benefit is the flexibility of the team, they try to accommodate any request or changes to the pattern if they possibly can. My son has attended the setting since a baby, we have been present during the Children 1st take over and we have seen nothing but improvements and investments for the children. Fantastic nursery. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

A lovely environment and welcoming staff.

I have been using Children's 1st for nearly seven years for both my son and daughter. My son loves it here and cannot fault the staff as the care he receives is brilliant. He has come on leaps and bounds.

The staff at this nursery are extremely helpful. They have cared for my daughter since she was 11 weeks old and she has really flourished under their care. We cannot thank the staff enough especially the manager who is always on hand to help with any queries or assistance.

As an auntie, every time I've collected him he's been super happy and content. The staff are always fantastic and tell me how he has got on through the day. I feel so happy to collect him and know what he's done throughout the day. He's been fed well and is always very content. Superb service. Thank you!

My son started at Children 1st in Hathern in March 2019, I was really anxious about him starting nursery as I had to go back to work. The staff there reassured me that he would be ok and even provided additional settling in sessions prior to me going back to work, safe to say after a few tears from both me and him, in the few weeks he has been going he has settled in lovely and really enjoys it there. The staff are absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend this nursery.

My child has been here since just before he turned 1, he is at nursery full time. Considering the nursery has gone through a lot of changes with the takeover etc....the carers make this nursery. The girls take a real interest in him and respond to his individual needs, they are a happy bunch and this is reflected in the kids.

Special recognition to the nursery manager, it's a refreshing change to have someone that is emotionally devoted to the job and not just working towards the metrics and rules. She cares about the children, staff and parents and more importantly cares about doing a good job. She's a real asset to Children 1st Hathern.

The Manager and Staff have gone above and beyond in helping my granddaughter to settle in and provided additional guidance and support.

My 6-month-old son joined in Aug 18, the team are so caring for him and make him feel safe and secure. From the very first visit into the setting we were made to feel welcomed and valued and like our son mattered, the staff knew his name on the look around and showed a genuine interest in our son. We receive a daily book that is full of info about his day. We have daily conversations with the staff who have made amazing connections with our family. On his first week in we were given a my first-week photo collage with a short write up of what he had been doing that week and how well he had settled, this was very reassuring and knowing he is receiving the highest standard of care and education put our minds at ease every day. The staff team are all, outstanding and go above and beyond to make sure you and your child/children are happy. The nursery is bigger than it looks from the outside and has plenty of space. The different age groups have their rooms and allocate garden spaces too.

My child started nursery here in Children 1st @ Hathern when he was 8 months old. He has loved it all the way through, he is over 18 months now. I have seen the development in him especially now he attends Mon-Fri, in that he is more sociable and has his own little personality. The staff there are great, really helpful, and all show kindness and genuineness to the children and parents.

Our son attended Children 1st @ Hathern since June 2016 until March 2018. For this time we had no issues about nursery work at all. Staff provided significant support in speech development and potty training. They also always followed our dier requirements which was quite important for us. Nurses build friendly relationships with kids and take care about kid's development and their personalities.

Our daughter has been attending the nursery full time for around a year. The nursery has a very friendly atmosphere and staff who actively support and encourage the children. All of the rooms provide a good combination of directed and independent learning opportunities, as appropriate to the ages of the children. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor activities that the children are actively encouraged to explore. Detailed daily feedback is provided on the progress of the children, helping to build links between the nursery and home. We couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery.
