The Woodlands Nursery and Pre-school is a beautiful home from home setting dedicated to offering the highest quality of care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 8 years.

The quirky little setting is located in the Old Chapel on Mill Lane, naturally submersed in history and culture. The building itself oozes charm and charisma. The environment is highly resourced to promote a love of learning and curiosity for knowledge, all delivered through exploratory play. The team recognise that all children are unique, and they learn and grow in their own special way. It is through Woodlands' Concept curriculum that they are able to offer stimulating development opportunities to support all children in their early years journey, all coordinated by a fully qualified Teacher.

My daughter has been going to the woodlands for almost 3 months, all the ladies are amazing, they are so kind and caring and are so dedicated to all the children that attend. They show my daughter love and patience every time she goes. She has learnt so much whilst being there in such a short time.
I couldn't of picked a better nursery for her to attend!
It's a brilliant place to send your children.

My little girl started at the woodlands in January and her confidence has grown so much. The staff are doing an amazing job in supporting her needs both emotionally and developmentally. I get constant detailed updates on her day and she always looks so happy doing a range of different activities.
I've never felt so comfortable leaving her somewhere and I definitely hope for her little sister to attend in the future when the time comes :)

We moved our son to The Woodlands from another setting and since starting here he is thriving. He now runs into nursery which I never thought I would see happen! He absolutely loves going to nursery and always comes home having learnt something new. The staff are amazing, I couldn't wish for better

Our child has settled into this setting amazingly, due to the huge amount of kindness and support he has received during his time at The Woodlands. He is learning so much to help him feel more confident and comfortable when he transitions into Primary school this coming September!

My child moved here from another nursery after some concerns. She has settled in so well and loves going to nursery! The staff are amazing and it is like one big family for all the children. They play outside even in the Autumn and Winter which I think is so important. They also go on some fantastic
trips out and explore the local area. My child loves the food which is healthy and nutritious. I couldn't be happier sending my child there, thank you.

I absolutely love this nursery, but more importantly, my son loves it too! I'm incredibly impressed with their 'can-do' attitude. The staff regularly takes the children on trips to the library and walks around the nearby fields. Almost every time I pick up my little one, he's playing outside, rain or
shine. As a former nursery assistant myself, I understand the effort it takes to get a group of young children dressed and ready for outdoor play, so I really appreciate their dedication.
Anytime I've had a question or request, it's been addressed within a day or two. The nursery is small, and I never hear any unanswered cries, which speaks to how attentive they are. The staff make me feel completely at ease when I leave my child in their care.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with The Woodlands Nursery! My daughter started only a short time ago and I can't believe how quickly she settled into the room and loves every second of nursery. The nursery is in a beautiful location and I just love how homely it feels. Every member of staff
has been so welcoming to not only my daughter, but the rest of the family too. I love all the updates I get daily with pictures of my little one having the best time. She always looks so safe and happy. I can't put into words just how grateful we are for everything everybody does at this setting. It's really reassuring to know our baby is happy and safe even out of my care.

This is an excellent nursery with highly trained professionals. The care and attention shown to each child as an individual is second to none. The communication home in person at handovers and via the formal care diary and daily activity log serves not only as an accurate record of the day, but also
as a bank of wonderful photos and memories documenting developmental milestones and learning. The curriculum is well planned and staff are organised. This results in outstanding learning opportunities for children. My child's speech and language, gross motor skills and independence when taking on responsibilities in particular have advanced and blossomed since joining this nursery. Children feel safe and at ease when they follow predictable routines, and The Woodlands places emphasis on routines to help children be successful. Meal times are spent together at the table, positive values are instilled early, and most importantly of all, my child comes home with a beaming smile every day.

We love Woodlands Nursery! The best thing about it are the staff who work there - each of them being approachable, kind, understanding and supportive. They all have a genuine love of working with children and ensure they have positive and nurturing relationships with each of them. Our girls love going
to nursery and have such an enjoyable time! From a parent perspective, every interaction is a positive experience. A special mention to the baby room who really go above and beyond to ensure the best possible start to nursery life - we are very grateful for this!

Have to say this nursery has superseded my initial expectations. Upon arrival to check this place out (we looked around a few before deciding!) I was a bit taken aback by the gravestones; however, once you get inside wow what amazing play facilities they have for the children, particularly the outside
area. My son has to be there most of the day because of work, so it was important to me that he had plenty to get stuck in to and do each day. I really like the way all the staff interact with the children also. I think every one of them are brilliant with the children.
I'm so glad we chose this nursery, although it's abit further away for us than others - it offers so much more in my opinion. My little boy settled in within a few weeks and now runs in smiling each morning.

Brilliant Nursery, the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Our daughter has absolutely loved her time here. Her speech and development have gone through the roof since joining The Woodlands. Highly recommended. We will be very sad to see her leave.

Our daughter has been going to The Woodlands Day Nursery and Pre-school for eighteen months and still comes home telling us how much fun she has had at nursery. My child really enjoys his time in the nursery and often comes home singing songs and telling me new and interesting facts. The staff are always friendly and polite, whenever there are any issues communication is fantastic and help is always available.

Couldn’t fault this nursery it’s incredible staff. My child is very challenging at times and can be a handful with his behaviour, and the staff have offered endless support and guidance to me. Providing a safe, secure and friendly environment for both children and parents. They keep you updated and

My second son starts in Jan 24 and he couldn’t be in a better place to kick-start his education.

Being an anxious parent, I feel at ease every time I leave our little boy at Woodlands. His key workers are so kind and caring and want the best for his development. They go above and beyond to make his day fun-filled, with lots of messy play which he absolutely loves! They always spend time telling

This nursery is amazing, so accommodating and understanding, the staff and management are brilliant. My son has a lot of problems with day-to-day living and the staff are always coming up with ways to help him wouldn’t take my kids any we’re else he is progressing so well and I’m very thankful to you.

Job Title: Director of Education

I am a qualified teacher for children aged 3-7. This gives me the knowledge and experience to implement our educational curriculum in a way that supports children through their early years journey and will stay with them throughout their school transition and beyond. I am extremely passionate about our children gaining experiences in our settings far beyond the realms of a typical nursery or preschool so that our children develop a love of learning, exploring and being curious about the world around them.


Outside of work I am a mummy to two daughters aged 10 and 2 years old who keep me on my toes but also my inspiration for my career. We love the theatre, animals big and small and camping. We are big foodies so enjoy going to different restaurants together after one of our little family adventures. As I get older I am trying to travel more and experience new places and culture.
