Dicky Birds Day Nursery and Preschool Surbiton, Maple Road

We've had a really positive experience with the nursery. The staff are caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children's wellbeing. My daughter is always happy to go in, which says a lot.

They do a great job with a variety of activities that keep the kids engaged and learning, and I've noticed a real improvement in her confidence and development since she started. It's clear they encourage curiosity, creativity, and good social skills in a very supportive environment. Overall, I feel very comfortable leaving my daughter in their care and would surely recommend this nursery to other parents.

We feel reassured leaving her in their care each day, and that peace of mind is invaluable. With our son set to join in the coming months, we're genuinely excited for him to have the same positive experience. We couldn't recommend Dicky Birds Maple Road more!

We have 2 children at the nursery and couldn't be more pleased with the warmth and love with which they are cared for. The staff are passionate, friendly and genuinely care for the children - this is evident in the strong bonds that both of our children have formed with the team. Communication from the nursery is excellent, whether it's about what they've eaten, what they've learned, or upcoming events / curriculum. I couldn't recommend dicky birds more highly.

Our first child has been with Dicky birds Maple Road since he was 1 and he loved it since the beginning. All the staff has been very warm and welcoming throughout and you can appreciate by how happy our son goes into the nursery. We are very happy with the experience and we would like to repeat with our second child.

Warm, welcoming, accommodating nursery my child has been at this nursery since she was 6 months old and is now getting ready to leave for school. It's been a faultless experience and my child thrives at nursery and is a happy there. Everyday she comes home with something exciting to show or tell me. The staff really do care about the children.

We have been at Dicky Birds for almost 6 years, and in that time they have gone above and beyond for us. They have really taken the time to understand my children's personalities and I can see how much they care for them. It's a very warm environment and we are so pleased we found them.

The nursery and staff have won multiple awards and it has been well.deserved.

My son absolutely loves going to Nursery (woodpeckers class), all the staff take so much time and effort in creating new activities each week. I would like to say a special thank you to who always goes l the extra mile and is very caring.

Both daughters have attended this nursery and been very happy there. The staff are professional and welcoming, and have a clear bond with the children. I leave my daughter there confident in the knowledge she will be well looked after, stimulated and loved in their home from home environment. The newly revamped garden area with all they are growing there is a fabulous addition.

My wife & I have been so happy with the level care taken of our Daughter. All staff are so friendly & caring with our child. Our daughter has come on leaps & bounds whilst moving through the classes & the best review I can give is from our daughter herself - she loves going to Nursery. The rooms are packed full of equipment & toys for the children to play & learn & the facilities, outside & inside are stimulating for a young child. We're also very happy that the children are not confined to the Nursery itself as they take day trips to the river & forest school, just to name a couple of activities. Overall we are delighted with the staff & management & will be sending our newly born son there too in October.

My child has been at the nursery now for 6 months and is extremely happy and comfortable there. They were very generous with settling in sessions before hand, and really took time to get to know his schedule and habits. Every member of staff in the Flamingo's room, have been so attentive towards my son, developing really meaningful relationships with him. He is clearly kept very busy, entertained, and been encouraged to grow and develop in line with all his milestones. We really appreciate them being so supportive with his care as I transitioned back to work, and we look forward to watching him continue to thrive!

We have 2 children currently at Dicky Birds Maple Road, one of whom is now in the preschool room and the other has just moved up from the baby room. We've been very happy with the standard of care from the teachers who really care about the childrens' development. Our son has learnt a great deal since he's been there and we've seen a big development in his social skills and confidence in this time. We're confident that he is being taught all the skills needed to prepare him for school. Our daughter has settled in well since joining and always enjoys her days there; we often have to chase her around the room to take her home! The nursery keeps us well informed about what the children have been up to and they get to participate in varied and interesting activities that promote a healthy lifestyle and spark their creativity.

We currently have 2 kids at Dicky Birds Maple Road in the Starlings and Woodpecker rooms. The staff are all excellent and really get to know each child individually and encouraging their interests to enable them to develop. The facilities are excellent and they have developed the outdoor spaces to encourage gardening and learning opportunities.

We send our two daughters to Dicky Birds Maple Road (and will soon be sending our third daughter there). We cannot speak highly enough of the care they receive and the activities they engage in while at nursery. Our daughters have been so well socialised and have developed tremendously thanks to the focus and attentiveness of the carers in the nursery. We are so happy with our decision to send our children here and have been so pleased to see them thriving more and more as they grow.

We couldn't be happier with our experience so far. The staff have been incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. It's clear they genuinely care about the children and create a safe, nurturing environment that puts us completely at ease.

One of the highlights has been the food. It's so reassuring to know our little one is enjoying healthy, balanced meals every day, and she always seems excited and content after a good meal at nursery.

Since starting, we've seen incredible development in her. Even though she isn't speaking yet, her understanding and communication have come on so well-she's more engaged, expressive, and curious than ever before.

Most importantly, she clearly loves her time there. She's always happy when we drop her off and comes home happy and full of energy. It's obvious that she feels comfortable, cared for, and stimulated throughout the day.

Delighted with our experience at Claremont Hall Dicky Birds. Both of our children attend there, in different rooms, and both have a wonderful time. The staff are very caring, kind, and innovative, and are always striving to come up with new ways to engage the children. While the outdoor space might be a little pokey, it does seem to be adequate, and the children are taken out regularly to the local parks, forest school, and down by the river. There is a nice community of parents that we are getting to know as our children progress to different rooms. Overall, very happy to recommend this nursery.

My son has loved Dicky Birds, where he has been now for the past 3 years. The staff are amazing and allows him to grow in a supportive environment. We have been very happy at the nursery and recommend to anyone looking for a nursery in Surbiton.

I'm the father of a 4 year old that will start school in the next few months and of a 7 year old that's about to go on to year 3. Both of my children went through all the rooms at Maple Road nursery since they were a bit over one. While the nursery went though some difficult times during covid, they've bounced back admirably and I can honestly say that every day I feel like I'm leaving my daughter to an experienced and caring team that make sure she has a full and fulfilling day that includes everything from gardening to PE and everything in between. Staff are engaged, caring, involved with the children and know them well.

I was really nervous about the transition of going back to work and starting nursery. I am so glad I did this with Maple Road as they were very generous with the number of settling-in sessions we had before her start date and this made such a difference for my daughter and I. When the start date came I was so happy with how it was going and absolutely loved her key worker. This is absolute gold dust for a mum who is used to being with their child 24/7. And as she's moved up she's continued to love it so much and the staff have been wonderful, I don't know how they do it! They are absolute heroes in my eyes and I'll always be so grateful.
