Finkley Weeke Nursery are huge believers in learning through hands-on experiences and play. Not only do children have access to the excellent facilities at the nursery, but they also visit local attractions regularly, such as Finkley Down Farm, Winnall Moors, local woods and parks to extend their learning through fun and practical activities.

The fun does not stop there! Back at the setting, the children's curiosity determines how the nursery is created every day. The setting is fortunate to have a huge amount of green outdoor space, which features its very own mud kitchen, sensory pathway, messy play, bug hotel and parking garage for the young motorists. There is a range of options for children to choose from indoors too, such as making crafts, cooking, playing, reading and building.

The ethos at Finkley Weeke is ‘Happy Children, Happy Parents, Happy Staff’, which creates the foundations of their nursery.

  • We are approved providers of Hampshire County Council’s free early year’s educational grant for 2, 3 and 4-year olds. This funding is available for all children from the term after their third birthday regardless of family circumstances. We will supply you with all the required information and parent declaration forms for you to complete, as your child reaches the appropriate age.

Our 3-year-old has been at Finkley Weeke Nursery for several months now and we are all so happy with the setting. Our son is always so excited to be going into nursery on the days he attends and runs the whole way in! They offer so many wonderful activities and trips out, no day is ever the same. The
staff are always so caring and clearly passionate about the children, we always receive a detailed handover at the end of each day. We have recommended Finkley Nursery to lots of people as we are just so impressed. Thank you Finkley Weeke Nursery!

Wonderful nursery and my son loves going. He often puts his ‘welly boots’ on at the weekend and asks to ‘go to Finkley Weeke Nursery please’.


The staff are friendly and attentive and take great care of the kids. My son, who is my third child, is the only one who has not had any nappy rash while at

nursery.
The trips are also excellent. Highly recommended.

My daughter started at Finkley Weeke Nursery in February as part of our move from London. We were obviously slightly nervous for her but by the end of Week 1 our fears were completely alleviated - she absolutely loved it! I find the staff are universally excellent and transmit the right values and mindset
we feel are important in our daughter's development. The exposure they give the children to the real world via trips to the farm or the supermarket I feel are already shaping her into a more rounded child. I already have complete trust with the team and she genuinely skips her way there. Well done all for creating a fantastic environment for the development of the children lucky enough to go there.

My daughter has been going to Finkley Weeke Nursery since January 2022 and always comes home telling me how much she loves it there! This nursery stood out to us because of the lovely big outside space and the trips the children get to go on. We get lots of updates and photos of what the children have
been doing during the day which is really nice. There are so many different activities - they even have Spanish lessons! I would thoroughly recommend!

My daughter started at this nursery at the end of February (having moved from a London nursery) and she absolutely loves it! She settled in immediately thanks to the wonderful staff for making her feel at home. She loves all the trips out (farm, woods, playground, supermarket!) and I feel these really

My daughter loves going to this nursery. The staff are always warm, and caring and communicate with the children in an inclusive, playful way. The children always look happy when I see them in the garden and the place always has a calm feeling to it, unlike many other nurseries I have seen. Since my
daughter has started Finkley Weeke Nursery, her confidence has grown and she has made some wonderful positive relationships with staff and other children. The activities they do involve all ages, and they do trips out in their minibus which I think really benefits the experience of the children and my daughter always enjoys them!

My niece absolutely loves this Nursery! She has only joined recently but Is thriving. I've noticed a development in her language skills since starting. The care and love the staff offer are outstanding. My niece is always welcomed with a warm greeting from the lovely staff. She loves going on trips

Since my son started at Finkley Weeke Nursery, he settled instantly. It’s very clear the staff have the children’s best interest at heart and all attention is centred around them from arrival to leaving. The nursery is located in a great setting with lots of outdoor space.


We love the end of day

Our son loves his nursery and all his friends and grown-ups, he has been there for 7 months now, since we first moved to the area. I love that they are taken for daily excursions, sometimes twice daily depending on the weather! The attached farm is brilliant, and he loves the soft play.

This nursery is outstanding! The combination of happy, friendly staff, lovely surroundings - indoor and outdoor, and trips out and about (including the farm) make for a stimulating whilst also nurturing experience for the children.
My daughter moved to this nursery after she turned 2 and has thrived
there. She spends a lot of time when home talking about her friends and the staff and will often role-play “being at nursery” which I think is an excellent sign.
The staff are engaged and seem invested in the success of the nursery which makes for a very positive experience for the children.
I would (and do!) highly recommend this nursery.

We have had nothing but good things to say about Finkley Weeke Nursery. Our son joined 7 months ago and the development in his communication skills, social skills and independence has been amazing to see. The staff are very supportive, encouraging and friendly and they run a wide range of activities

We're so pleased to have chosen Finkley Weeke. Nursery. Right from the start the communication with parents have been superb, the staff are wonderful and the environment has been fantastic for our kids to develop and flourish. The trips to the farm, language classes, woodland trips and more have been

Our son has been at Finkley Weeke Nursery for 4/5 months now and he loves it there! His communication skills have really come a long way since starting there which has always been something he's not great with. The staff are all very friendly and we have not had any bad experiences with them. The staff
are great and our son often asks for them while at home. When he's not asking for them he is always asking to "go see friends" and is always excited to go in in the mornings.


We would highly recommend!

When I first came to view Finkley, I was in awe of the surroundings, the staff and the activities they offered and I knew my daughter would love it here. She settled in so quickly after day one and has come so far in the short amount she’s been here. I cannot wait to see what she will learn in the coming
months and I’m so happy I decided on this nursery school. She never wants to leave at the end of the day! They have planned trips almost every day and her outings to the farm are her favourite. She loves her teachers and they truly are a credit to the nursery. I would highly recommend Finkley to anyone as I certainly love it myself and my daughter wouldn’t go anywhere else.

My son started at Finkley in November just after he turned two. He is having a wonderful time - I was immediately struck by the outdoor space and beautiful play areas when I looked around - which he loves. This fantastic nursery and preschool are so incredible. Staff are very supportive of you as a family. Helped prepare my daughter for primary school incredibly well. They help children learn through play and nature. Regular walks, farm visits. It's the best preschool ever as we have been to a few as
a military family! I couldn't fault them at all, fresh home-cooked meals. The staff are amazing at their jobs and my daughter is more than ready for reception.

Vanessa's favourite thing at Finkley is providing the children with an exciting learning environment, offering them a variety of experiences such as trips to the Farm and Nature Walks. Seeing the children so happy and having fun while supporting them in their journey to school.

Sara started working at Finkley Weeke in September 2022.


In April 2025, Sara opened our brand new baby room and became the Daily Lead. Sara has experience supporting the under-2s' development and is keen to create a nurturing and engaging environment for them to explore!


Sara loves Finkley because no day is ever the same, and loves the variety of outings the nursery can do, from pumpkin picking to the garden centre, every day is unique!

Ellie-May Moody

Job Title: Pre-School Daily Lead Joined: 2023

Ellie is one of our fabulous team members and joined the Finkley Family in March 2023. She is level 3 qualified and has a passion for planning exciting, engaging and unique activities for the children to take part in.


In 2025, Ellie was promoted to Daily Lead of the Pre-School room and leads the team to ensure the children are offered a wide range of experiences and promote independence to help the transition to school!

Danielle

Danielle Wall

Job Title: SENCO Manager Joined: 2021

Dani is our SENCo Manager and supports all of our Finkley Nurseries in meeting the needs of all children within our care, Danielle joined the Finkley family in March 2021. Dani is currently working towards her degree in Special Education Needs and Inclusivity.


We asked Dani what her favourite part about working with children is and she said;


"I love seeing the impact that both myself and our wonderful staff have on the children and their future outcomes. I love to get involved and enjoy running both Bucket time and BLAST sessions within all of our settings."

Emma

Emma Woolley

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2024

Emma is our Deputy Manager at Finkley Weeke. She has been working in nurseries for many years and has a wealth of experience and knowledge after completing her degree in Early Years Education. Emma loves working at Finkley because everyday is a new adventure and she loves seeing the children grow and develop under our care!
