Finkley Weeke Nursery and Pre-School

We are immensely impressed with the overall setting and the wonderful staff at Finkley Weeke. From the beginning, the staff have been incredibly welcoming and supportive. They have created a warm and nurturing environment that has made our daughter feel happy and comfortable. It is evident that they genuinely care about each child and take time to understand their individual needs and personalities. We are particularly grateful for the open communication and the collaborative approach the staff have taken with us. They have kept us informed about our daughter's progress and have always been available to discuss any concerns or questions we might have. The facilities are fantastic, providing a safe and stimulating environment where children learn and play. The activities are varied and engaging, and we have seen our daughter develop new skills during her time there. A special thank you to two special members of staff who have been right by our daughter's side for this whole transition!

Finkley Weeke has been amazing for my granddaughter. She loves it and comes out so positive about the fun things they have done, including going out on local trips to the moors and in the community. She has grown in confidence which I believe is down to her nursery experience being so amazing and educational as well as fun. She has learnt so much. The staff are great and are always so cheerful and happy and positive. They always make me feel completely welcome. Fantastic place.

Our daughter has gained so much more confidence since being at the nursery and is really coming out of her shell. The nursery manager and staff team are all wonderful and my daughter is very excited to go to nursery every day and never wants to come home! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery to anyone searching for child care!

I have been absolutely blown away with Finkley Weeke. From the first phone call to the manager, I had a good feeling about the setting but I could not have imagined the professionalism and care of all the staff. They have gone above and beyond to support my little one into something which is a very new territory for him and have completely worked at his pace. They have been kind and helpful in our adjustment as parents and kept us informed of every achievement and challenge and worked with us to achieve new goals. We are so happy we found Finkley Weeke and will be forever grateful for all their hard work. Special mention to two staff members for taking such good care of our son.

Since my daughter started at Finkley Weeke Nursery she has thrived. She absolutely loves her time at nursery and has come on leaps and bounds in every way. She has grown in confidence massively. The nursery staff are always so kind and happy, the children adore them all. The nursery communication is brilliant, I am always kept up to date with what they are doing and have done. The trips out that the nursery takes the children on are very beneficial. My little girl always comes home very happy, and she is always learning something new!

We went to the grandparents stay and play. The staff were all welcoming and the activities were well thought out and gave the children the opportunity to use their motor skills, a Christmas theme. It was also a great opportunity for the grandparents to meet each other and see where the children spend time at the nursery.

My 2-year-old has been at Finkley for 3 months and I am just so impressed. It was a big decision to move him but I am so glad we did. The staff are so caring and kind and go out of their way to make every child feel special and comfortable. They plan trips out and support the local community which is fabulous, and the communication with the parents is brilliant. They plan so many extra events throughout the year, all free which brings everyone together which is amazing and as a parent something I am so grateful for.

Our son joined this nursery a few months ago and has really enjoyed it. He gets lots of time playing outside and goes on fantastic regular field trips including Finkley Farm. The nursery team are brilliant and treat him like a superstar. Couldn't ask for more!

Absolutely amazing nursery. My daughter's gross and fine motor skills have progressed significantly since starting here and her speech has progressed. My daughter is a confident, chatty, happy little girl thanks to the nursery. We are always greeted with a smile and friendly face - it feels more like a family. My daughter loves it here and runs in every morning. I love that she goes to the farm and all the extracurricular activities they plan. Brilliant nursery!

My granddaughter has been attending Finkley Weeke Nursery and Pre-School since last year and absolutely loves it. The staff are always welcoming and enthusiastic. The children have a wide range of activities and she particularly loves going out on visits to the farm and the care home. She’s always eager to go in on play school days and the communication with parents is excellent, I know my daughter loves seeing the photos of what she’s been up to. I feel that her transition to school in September will be easier because of her happy time there. Now I look forward to seeing how my grandson thrives there when he starts in October!

I could not recommend this nursery enough.

My daughter started Finkley Weeke in September 2022. The nursery is so friendly with lots of different activities happening throughout the day. It is fantastic that the children get to go out and about on local visits and also have the opportunity to go to Finkley Down Farm as well. We get a daily update with lots of pictures so we can see what the children have been doing. Thank you to all the staff for all their hard work and care for my daughter.

Our son started at Finkley Weeke Nursery and Pre-School last November when we moved to Winchester from London. We have been continually impressed with the experience he has had since starting due to the care and kindness of the staff and the wonderful opportunities that they provide each day. Communication is always effective with daily observations and plenty of opportunities for parental involvement, such as the Mother’s Day coffee morning, Christmas show and the sparkler evening for Bonfire Night, which we have found particularly inclusive as a new family in the city. We have already signed our younger son up ready to start next year and would recommend the nursery to everyone. Thank you for all of your continued hard work!

My son started attending Finkley Weeke in Jan 2022, he was 2 at that time. He had a few settling-in sessions and settled in very well. He is always excited to go to nursery. He loves the outdoor space and loves going to the farm. We are very happy with the nursery.

My little one has always been very attached to me. I was slightly worried about how he would settle but he went straight in which just shows that he was very comfortable around all the staff members. I can’t fault them at all and my little one absolutely loves it.

My son has been going to Finkley Weeke since turning 2 years old. He has settled in so well! He loves going to the farm and he is always singing nursery rhymes when he’s back home. The staff seems to really love what they do and go the extra mile to make every day special for the little ones.
