Children 1st Buckinghams Nursery School

We have had a brilliant experience with Buckingham’s and have already recommended the nursery to a number of friends who have now taken up places at the nursery.

Every day my daughter goes to nursery happy and is greeted with smiles by the staff team who are amongst the hardest working and energetic people I know and I cannot praise them highly enough. Fun and engaging tasks are always planned and have helped my daughter hit her early learning milestones as well as improve her social and emotional development. There are a plethora of activities and opportunities for outdoor learning, roleplay and ICT and the facilities are exceptional. My daughter will come home and say that she has been an astronaut, builder and a firefighter and she is more imaginative and creative each day she attends. The menu is healthy and contains lots of options. An update is always given when I pick my daughter up at the end of the day and I am usually told she has had seconds.

The management of the nursery is also incredible & they have robust safeguarding policies in place.

I am confident that this is the absolute best childcare provider that a child & parent could wish for.

All staff are so friendly, kind and caring. They all go above and beyond to make my son happy. It gives me great peace of mind knowing my child comes out of nursery happy and that he is being taken good care of.

Fantastic nursery. My son and daughter attend, they both have a great time, enjoying all sorts of sensory and creative play. My children have come on with their speech and social skills since attending Buckinghams.

My Child attends this nursery since he was 6 weeks old. They have always taken fantastic care of my son. I have seen him grow and develop every year and they have assisted him in having the absolute best start in life. A special mention to the early years teacher that is a credit to the company.

We are very pleased with this nursery for our daughter. Having never sent a child to nursery before we were obviously very apprehensive but the staff were very supportive, encouraging and caring and our daughter soon settled well. She now absolutely loves nursery and all the staff are incredibly friendly. She is always doing lots of activities that we wouldn't do at home. We would highly recommend this nursery.

My little boy has been at Buckinghams for seven months now and he absolutely loves it. I love the personalised service you receive, everyone knows my child from the workers in his room, to the management, to the receptionist, to the chef. They are friendly and genuinely care about the children. The staff are always interested in my boy’s life outside nursery and are hugely supportive of his development. The nursery setting is second to none that I have seen; it is clean, bright and child-focused. The resources are amazing and the EyLog is great. My little boy is very attached to me but will run into his nursery room without worrying about me leaving him. When I collect him at the end of the day, I can see him in the room and he’s always having a whale of a time. For a first time mother leaving her child at nursery, I just wanted to feel he was safe, happy and cared for; Buckinghams goes above and beyond in delivering that. Highly recommended.

My daughter has been going to Buckinghams nursery since being 6 months old, she’s now 3 years old. She loves nursery and all the staff love her too. They truly treat her like one of their own. I know they look after her and treat her so well. They do great activities every day and she’s never bored. The food is amazing always different healthy choices each day. This nursery is definitely the best in Leek and that’s with thanks to all the staff in all the rooms and of course the manager and her team at the top. Well done ladies, keep up the great work. My daughter will miss you all when the time comes to go to big girl school. I would highly recommend this nursery to all other parents. It’s clean, fun, great equipment and the most important your children are well looked after.

Our 3-year-old son has been attending since he was 1 year old and has progressed really well each year. He enjoys telling me about his day on the way home and is excited about the activities he has done. Having playtime with kids of a similar age has been invaluable and all the members of staff (especially his key workers) have always been very friendly towards him, making him feel welcome each morning even on mornings when he doesn't necessarily want to leave the house! I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone.

My son has been in nursery for one month already and has settled in really well. He loves toys and activities throughout the day. The staff are great with him and really helped him to settle in. We had signed up to the nurseries already and I couldn't settle until we came here and it just clicked. It ticked all the boxes for us. It's welcoming, friendly, safe, fantastic rooms, amazing outdoor space, rocking chair for babies that need help to sleep, cots for babies, sensory toy and a great menu. All these things I was looking for and found this nursery.

EyLog is good but just needs updating faster so it's more real time.

My daughter is thriving under the watchful eye of Buckinghams. She loves her days at nursery and is always sharing songs she has learnt there. She is also building friendships with other children and learning so much. I clearly see the care and dedication of staff and the positive impact this is having on my daughter.

He loves exploring the room, especially the tunnel and sensory lights. I am very happy with the nursery.

Both of my children have attended Children 1st @ Buckinghams and have both really enjoyed their time here. My son left to go to school and my daughter is still here. All the staff have been brilliant with both of my children and couldn't ask for better care.

My son has attended children 1st @ Buckinghams nursery for over a year now. I have always been more than satisfied with the nursery as a whole. The staff are all pleasant and attentive to each child and all seem to enjoy their job which is lovely. There is a variety of food available and plenty of activities to keep the children entertained. I would recommend this nursery to others.

Since joining Buckinghams my daughter and son have developed in so many ways. I would say they are more confident and balanced. My twins love all the staff and enjoy going. The nursery itself is fun and bright and has a great outdoor area too. All staff are caring and very professional and the twins have responded well to all of them. Thank you.

As a parent, I am very pleased with my child's attitude to Children 1st nursery. They have settled in with other children, staff and routine of the nursery very well, they love to play with their friends, eat their meals and learn new things all the time with members of staff. I do recommend Childrens 1st nursery to be value for money.

I have actually done this. I recommended to a colleague at work who was moving to the area. She took up on this straight away without looking at any other nursery's in the area due to the comments I made. Well deserved. My child is cared for in all her needs very well.

My child has been at bucks for 2 years. They are loving and carrying and bring him on better than I can. My child has special needs and I have not been impressed by the knowledge and support for his special needs. It has made me realise that I can’t expect that kind of support from nursery and have to do it all myself. I feel that Bucks is a good nursery if your child has normal development but not great for special needs. That said I think miss my son's keyworker who is absolutely brilliant.

Extremely happy with the care my child receives. She loves her days at Children 1st @ Buckinghams and it’s clear to see why all of the staff members are welcoming and can’t do enough for you. The outside area is a hidden gem which again my child loves. The nursery is clean and secure and the staff cater for all dietary requirements which all the staff have great knowledge in.
