Children 1st Buckinghams Nursery School

I love this nursery both my kids go here now. My son started three weeks ago. I was told to apply for child tax free childcare as it will help me a lot. I did, I was having problems setting it up and I was worried that the nursery fees are going to be late and they said it was ok and they helped me so much with it. My daughter will be leaving in September and they've been so good with her, helping her to get ready for school.

Our daughter is very willing to go into nursery in a morning which speaks volumes for us as she is a rather clingy baby but has built a solid bond with her key worker as she has put in a lot of effort with our daughter and helped her settle in very well.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery to friends and family.

My daughter has been with the nursery since she was 10-months-old. She’s recently turned 3 and I have to say, it’s like leaving her with family. She looks forward to going and has learned so much already! I’ll be so sad to leave.

Since starting at Children 1st @ Buckinghams Day Nursery, my daughter has overcome a few obstacles such as speech delay and helped her to socialise. If it wasn't for Buckinghams mentioning her speech delay and pointing me in the right direction I don't think she would be where she is now. She loves to play with her friends and loves the staff, most mornings she asks if it is time for 'school'. She is a much happier little girl and I couldn't thank all the staff enough.

Children 1st @ Buckinghams is a great little nursery, my grandson has come on in leaps and bounds since starting here, it’s taken him a long time to get used to being left at nursery and cried when I left him for months but the staff were always patient and understanding with him and I’m pleased to say now he loves going to nursery to play with his friends and see the staff.

Children’s 1st Day Nursery have been amazing! They have really helped to develop our daughter in all aspects of her development. They regularly communicate with us, share achievements and make our daughter feel loved and safe every day. She loves all the team so much and I am so happy to know that we leave her in the care of many professionals who hold children at the centre of what they do as their utmost priority. Her confidence, speech and general social skills have developed in the last six months under Children’s 1st and it's wonderful to see her learning journey recorded and shared with us. The food is always something new and exciting and lots of things that she wouldn’t eat at home eats there. The kitchen staff also make things off the menu if it's something that she doesn’t like which I think is so thoughtful.

My child has been attending the nursery for a while now. She really enjoys going and spending time with her friends and participating in activities. She seems to have excelled in her speech even more so since attending nursery and always tells us at home what she’s been playing with each day. She is always happy on both arrival and departure which is nice to see. I do think they should have more things like little trips out to the park etc. as Buckinghams used to have this facility before Children 1st took over. It would be nice to see them interact with the world outside of nursery a little more as I feel it is good for them and their social development.

We have had our son in the nursery since May 2021 in the baby room. The introduction that the staff gave us and our little boy was fantastic. They were really good at getting to know us and what he does and doesn't like so that he felt settled and happy in nursery.

His key person has such a great relationship with him and he always gives her a big smile on arrival and departure.

I am so pleased our child attends this setting and I thoroughly recommend Children 1st @ Buckinghams to all parents.

My son has been going to Childen 1st @ Buckinghams for two years and I don’t have a bad word. All his teachers are fantastic and he loves going. They are very professional and friendly. My son learns new things and they always do new activities with the children.

My little boy absolutely loves his days at Children 1st @ Buckinghams, he is excited to go every day! The staff there are caring, professional, knowledgeable and always have time to listen to your concerns and to answer your questions. The communication is excellent and they will always contact you if there is a problem. They go above and beyond what I would expect from a good quality nursery. My son also loves the food and always eats well. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone looking for a safe and loving place for their child. Buckinghams in Leek have been amazing with my little boy, all the staff there are so thoughtful and provide the highest quality daycare. My little boy has come on so much since starting in all aspects of his development. The handling of Covid there has also been exceptional. My daughter absolutely loves the trips to Acorns forest school, she is enthusiastic every morning to go to nursery. Made many friends, eats well and healthy, and really likes all the staff. Her development in the past year is amazing, thanks to the amazing staff.

I absolutely love sending my child to Buckinghams in Leek. My child loves to go and is always very excited to be there. It has taught my child to be more social with children. I do wish that there was more pre school learning for my childs age group, two years and above, as I know my child will 100 per cent respond to the learning. I want my childs ability to be met by much more. However an excellent nursery, excellent staff. Thank you guys for such an amazing place for my child.

My daughter started at Buckinghams in July 2019, and whilst leaving her in the care of others breaks my heart, I am so happy with the progress she has made at Buckinghams. She can do new things on a daily basis like touch her head/toes and says a new word every week. My daughter has also developed socially going from being extremely shy to being confident with strangers and waving goodbye going into the nursery. The only negative I have with the nursery (not specific to Buckinghams either) is the food options. A lot of food on offer has added sugar - cereals/ snacks, and whilst the nursery was excellent and accommodated my request for no added sugar porridge/fruit puddings etc I feel with the selection available in supermarkets at the moment this should not be a special request but the standard. Overall, my daughter is enjoying and progressing very well at this nursery and I feel like I have made the right decision for my child.
