Our 3 year old daughter attends Happy days and baby due to start later this year.
Current staff and management are fab. Great communication. Our little girl is well supported, and staff have gone the extra mile to support her with things like speech development. She loves nursery and always talks

My son has been going to happy days for over two years and since the newest manager has been in place it has become very settled and she has become key part of turning it around to a positive supportive place. My son is in the Adventures 1 and he is doing amazingly well, is supported and is constantly
learning and doing new things. The room supervisor is amazing, she is attentive and caring, as well as supportive. If I've ever needed to raise anything, she has listened, reassured me and act as needed. Along with the room apprentice, who is also fab, they are a great team. I feel reassured that my son is safe, supported and well cared for.

Fantastic nursery. All of the staff are so friendly and kind. Makes our child feel so welcome every day. Lots of different activities and the food is amazing. Love that we get constant updates through the app to tell us all about our sons day.

I am delighted with the choice of nursery for both of my children, they are stimulated, well-fed and most importantly have a brilliant environment to flourish.
Staff are nurturing, caring and friendly and I regularly receive updates/photos via app which is reassuring. Key workers are brilliant and
communication has been great from day one. Settle session have been reassuring and they couldn't be more smooth.
Management is available and they do listen.
It is honestly a wonderful place for my little ones to grow and develop!

From the moment we brought our little one to Happy Days, we felt calm and confident in the care he was receiving. From his initial settling in sessions to his current stage, we've been given regular, informative feedback with a clear breakdown of his food, sleep and other activities. They have always
been responsive to all of our questions (which is a few being first time parents)


The staff are incredibly caring and patient, they have supported our son through his development and have been incredibly supportive with accommodating our requests due to work commitments. All of the staff are very friendly and treat our son as one of the Happy Days family giving him big smiles and cuddles at any opportunity.


Even with some of the difficulties of illnesses, irregular sleep and dietary requirements, the team at Happy Days have always been supportive and done their best to keep our little man thriving and happy.

I collect my granddaughter from happy days ones a week and I am always greeted with such happy faces and see her playing happily with the other children. Although my daughter gets information about her day on the app, the girls in her room will always give me verbal updates about how she has been.

Since joining in November, our little girl loves coming into nursery to see all of her friends!
Happy days have made her feel very welcome and we feel content knowing our little girl is safe and happy in a thriving environment!
Our little one doesn't even turn back to say goodbye anymore, she comes
straight in to see her friends and get stuck into the resources.
We feel very lucky to have found a fit that is right for us and our little girl!

Very good nursery and lovely staff.


My daughter is still settling into her new room but seems to be getting on really well. Receive regular updates by an app throughout the day so I always know how she is getting on and what she has had to eat during the day.

Despite this nursery not being my first choice for my little boy, who started nursery when I went back to work after 12 months, I have been beyond impressed by just how well he's settled in there - and that's all down to the people who welcome us in every morning! When I made my initial enquiry, management
were fantastic at answering all of my questions and concerns related to tales I'd heard of staff shortages (under former management) and they were more than accommodating, inviting me to come and look around, for 'stay and play' sessions to see how things were done - and they were only a call away if I needed any further reassurance. I was understandably nervous leaving him in any childcare setting, but his key worker, the supervisor, management and all of the staff at Happy Days have been amazing - week in, week out. They always seem to do new, fun activities to nurture his development and I've seen him come on massively since he's started. I'm really happy with the service so far.

Since our daughter started at Happy Days Nursery, Thornbury at 8 months. She has noticeably thrived and flourished under the care of the staff there. It's a tough transition for anyone, but we were supported and encouraged the whole way. The staff clearly tailor their care to each individual child,
and I'm so grateful we have a space where my daughter is genuinely excited to go in the morning. Special thanks to one member of staff in particular as a key worker, one of my child's favourite people ever!

My granddaughter has learnt so much since being at Happy Days Nursery. She has grown in confidence and is very chatty. The staff are amazing and caring. No request it too much and they show my granddaughter so much love. In the year she has been with Happy Days she has become confident, chatty and very
outgoing.
Management are extremely helpful and are in hand to help with any query whilst offering a warm welcome when you walk through the door.
My daughter is so relaxed when dropping off my granddaughter and knows she is safe and secure and learning everything she needs to.

Awesome nursery! Made my son very welcome and he has settled so well. All the nursery workers are lovely and so kind and patient! They always give me a detailed update on his day. The app system also works really well as it puts your mind at ease when you receive the updates.

My child loves her time at Happy Days Thornbury. The staff are always friendly and the staff all form good connections with the children. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor play and organized activities.
However, I wish the nursery provided a more realistic food menu. They are very healthy meals
but not meals I would personally make for my child so she doesn't end up eating them and they don't have much of an alternative to offer.
Altogether though I think the nursery is a nice environment and my child is happy there.

I have been absolutely thrilled with the start my little one has had in Happy Days Thornbury. The staff have been so kind and accommodating from day one.
It was such a relief to drop them off today and see them immediately reach for their key person. Going back to work as a first-time mum is really
hard but it's made so much easier seeing how contented he is in his environment there.

My daughter started at Happy Days Thornbury in January 2023. She loves it and has started to do settling-in sessions in the next room; they are going well. There have been ups and downs but Happy Days is without doubt on the up. I would definitely recommend.

My son has been at Happy Days Thornbury for 2 years, he absolutely loves it. He is now in the preschool room and will be doing 4 days a week until school in September 2025. The staff have been amazing in supporting him with his extra needs. Like anywhere, there have been changes with the staff but honestly,
the children are so happy. Drop-off and pick-up are always smooth, they also have an app where events are logged throughout the day. I would definitely recommend.

My name is Sammie, and I am the new manager of Happy Days Thornbury.


I have been working within the childcare sector for over 16 years 3 with years of management experience. I spent 2 years working in Dubai as a pre-school teacher where my early years knowledge grew even further.


Working in the early years has always been a huge passion of mine. Seeing the children flourish throughout their nursery experience and supporting families is something that brings me such joy in my career and I am excited to bring my experience, passion and love for childcare with me to Happy Days.
