Happy Days Nursery & Preschool - Thornbury

They always take the extra time to help my eldest settle into nursery when she's having a bad day and find the ways to distract and settle her. My return to work with my youngest has been made so easy by the baby room staff being so kind and gentle!

The staff really do go the extra mile - I had to go abroad for 2 weeks with work and was sent picture updates of my son's time at nursery after every single session. This reassurance meant everything and I am so grateful to them! Would recommend without hesitation!

Current staff and management are fab. Great communication. Our little girl is well supported, and staff have gone the extra mile to support her with things like speech development. She loves nursery and always talks positively about it.

My son has been going to happy days for over two years and since the newest manager has been in place it has become very settled and she has become key part of turning it around to a positive supportive place. My son is in the Adventures 1 and he is doing amazingly well, is supported and is constantly learning and doing new things. The room supervisor is amazing, she is attentive and caring, as well as supportive. If I've ever needed to raise anything, she has listened, reassured me and act as needed. Along with the room apprentice, who is also fab, they are a great team. I feel reassured that my son is safe, supported and well cared for.

Fantastic nursery. All of the staff are so friendly and kind. Makes our child feel so welcome every day. Lots of different activities and the food is amazing. Love that we get constant updates through the app to tell us all about our sons day.

It is honestly a wonderful place for my little ones to grow and develop!

From the moment we brought our little one to Happy Days, we felt calm and confident in the care he was receiving. From his initial settling in sessions to his current stage, we've been given regular, informative feedback with a clear breakdown of his food, sleep and other activities. They have always been responsive to all of our questions (which is a few being first time parents)

The staff are incredibly caring and patient, they have supported our son through his development and have been incredibly supportive with accommodating our requests due to work commitments. All of the staff are very friendly and treat our son as one of the Happy Days family giving him big smiles and cuddles at any opportunity.

Even with some of the difficulties of illnesses, irregular sleep and dietary requirements, the team at Happy Days have always been supportive and done their best to keep our little man thriving and happy.

Couldn't recommend more.

My daughter is still settling into her new room but seems to be getting on really well. Receive regular updates by an app throughout the day so I always know how she is getting on and what she has had to eat during the day.

Brilliant start to our Happy Days Nursery.

Despite this nursery not being my first choice for my little boy, who started nursery when I went back to work after 12 months, I have been beyond impressed by just how well he's settled in there - and that's all down to the people who welcome us in every morning! When I made my initial enquiry, management were fantastic at answering all of my questions and concerns related to tales I'd heard of staff shortages (under former management) and they were more than accommodating, inviting me to come and look around, for 'stay and play' sessions to see how things were done - and they were only a call away if I needed any further reassurance. I was understandably nervous leaving him in any childcare setting, but his key worker, the supervisor, management and all of the staff at Happy Days have been amazing - week in, week out. They always seem to do new, fun activities to nurture his development and I've seen him come on massively since he's started. I'm really happy with the service so far.

I'd like to praise the staff from the management down. My step son always comes home happy and clean. The environment there is always pleasant and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Always happy to answer questions you ask to the best of their ability. A place I'd highly recommend if you want to be reassured your children are in safe hands.

Since our daughter started at Happy Days Nursery, Thornbury at 8 months. She has noticeably thrived and flourished under the care of the staff there. It's a tough transition for anyone, but we were supported and encouraged the whole way. The staff clearly tailor their care to each individual child, and I'm so grateful we have a space where my daughter is genuinely excited to go in the morning. Special thanks to one member of staff in particular as a key worker, one of my child's favourite people ever!

Awesome nursery! Made my son very welcome and he has settled so well. All the nursery workers are lovely and so kind and patient! They always give me a detailed update on his day. The app system also works really well as it puts your mind at ease when you receive the updates.

Altogether though I think the nursery is a nice environment and my child is happy there.

It was such a relief to drop them off today and see them immediately reach for their key person. Going back to work as a first-time mum is really hard but it's made so much easier seeing how contented he is in his environment there.

My daughter started at Happy Days Thornbury in January 2023. She loves it and has started to do settling-in sessions in the next room; they are going well. There have been ups and downs but Happy Days is without doubt on the up. I would definitely recommend.
