Partou Acorns in Adel Day Nursery & Pre-school provides high-quality care for children from birth to five years of age.

The nursery provides children with a safe and supportive environment where they can learn, play and grow in a nursery that’s full of fun!

Children at the nursery enjoy bright, carefully planned play rooms that allow them to learn at their own pace and a fun outdoor area with a mud kitchen and slide.

Healthy meals and snacks are served from the nursery’s delicious seasonal menu and are prepared using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

The Acorns in Adel team are highly qualified and experienced, providing children with exciting learning activities covering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The friendly team has safeguarding training, paediatric first aid certificates and childcare qualifications, the majority to Level 3 or above.

All staff have undergone enhanced DBS checks and the nursery's CCTV and secure door entry systems offers added security.

Fees include nappies, wipes, sun cream, milk, meals and snacks.

Very pleased with my daughter's ongoing programme since starting nursery. Her first language is Farsi and she does not have any connection with English but now started communicating in English. I feel that she is more sensible and confident since she has started nursery.

We are so happy that we chose Acorns for our son. The level of care and attention that they receive in the baby room is amazing. His keyworker has taken a real interest in his development and knows all his likes, dislikes and habits, often without me having to tell her. I feel really valued as a parent
and will get a thorough rundown of his day when I pick him up. I know I can drop him off and he's going to have a fantastic day and will eat and nap really well. He eats more than at home and seems to be far less fussy, wolfing down curries, soups and all his veg!


I have and will continue to recommend Acorns to friends.

My daughter started nursery in March 2018, aged 10 months. She settled quickly and now loves it. The ladies in the baby room are fantastic, they know each child really well and it feels like a really caring environment. If you've asked them to do something specific in your baby's routine, they do it.
I trust them completely and don't worry about my baby whilst I'm at work.

The nursery has a really safe, fun feel to it. All the staff I have experienced are engaging with the children, genuinely caring and invested in their development. Our child has been at Acorns since the age of 1 and so was in the Baby room, which she loved; since progressing to the Tweenie room her
development has come on leaps and bounds; speech, memory, understanding etc. I would have no hesitation in recommending the nursery and have already done so.

Acorns is a very friendly, fun and supportive nursery. My little one settled in quickly after starting in January 2018.


They provide a bright, clean, stimulating environment with healthy home cooked meals and knowledgeable staff.

We honestly can’t recommend Acorns enough! Our daughter started there in January and at first, we were worried she wouldn’t settle in because she’s only there 1 or 2 days a week (they’ve been so flexible with the days for us!), but she settled in so well and she’s having such a brilliant time. She’s
created such a great bond with her keyworker and all the staff there are so friendly and welcoming! They also get great food every day and she always eats everything!!

Excellent level of care. My child is very happy attending - which to me is the most important thing. The staff clearly know my child well, and I feel like he is thriving in their care. There are numerous opportunities that have been provided including trips to the theatre and to the cinema, themed days
and even a nativity that I and my husband thoroughly enjoyed!

My children love Acorns. The staff are lovely, everyone throughout the building knows each other and there’s a real family feel. The children seem to have lots of fun and make great friendships. Food, learning, cleanliness, safeguarding etc all excellent.

Our son has been coming for 4 months and he absolutely loves nursery. The staff care for him so well. We literally don't think about him until we pick him up. He is so well looked after. He is learning all the time and making friends. We are so happy with the nursery.

We chose this nursery as it was the closest to home and we were very pleased to see that our son loves it.
His key worker is very attentive and encouraging and the staff make lots of effort to adapt activities and toys to the interest of the children, including laminated pictures with the words in
French for my son who we are raising bilingual, a lovely personal touch.

Our two children attended Acorns, between July 2010 and July 2017. The standard of care and attention to the children is very high. The setting is quite small and therefore feels personal. We felt that the staff really got to know our children and our children both very much enjoyed their days at Acorns
as a consequence. The management team leads the staff very well and there exists an open line of communication for parents - there are regular open evenings/afternoons and newsletters, and the end of day feedback is detailed.

The care of our child at this nursery has been excellent, they are always enthusiastic about introducing new things and develop his existing skills.
