Partou Acorns in Adel Day Nursery & Pre-school

She was rarely sent home with any artwork. The outside space is very small with only a small section of shade which the children are cramped into.

It is an end of a fantastic era for us as a family. We shall miss everyone at Acorns lots. I am so so grateful for the wonderful experience we have had for the past 10 years at Acorns, one which we will never forget, and we can’t thank the staff highly enough for making that time so enjoyable.

Our child has been at the nursery since March 2021. We like the overall set-up of the nursery e.g. the rooms, toys, menu and staff and our daughter has progressed very well since she has been there. She has learnt basic sign language, her vocabulary has improved and she is very social having made lots of friends. My only issue is the lack of communication from the nursery itself. We really have to ask lots of questions to find out what she has done during the day as the general response is 'she has been fine'. I would like more detail as to activities carried out during the day so that we can continue this into the evening and discuss at home. The Learning Book does not get updated on a regular basis and therefore I am unable to see how the nursery carries out activities in line with the EYFS.

I cannot praise this nursery enough. It is such a caring environment. The staff know the children so well and make sure to provide lots of different things for them to do. My son loves the staff! They feel like family.

The nursery have been great with my child catering to his individual traits and building on these, the amount they go outside seems to be increasing which is great for him. I really think the food is excellent and the staff. Wish the preschool had as much access to outside space as tweenies room but understand the building doesn't allow for this

I have had two children attend Acorns-in-Adel, in the Baby Room and Tweenies. They have both enjoyed their time there, and both have benefitted from the loving attention of the staff. The staff have also been really helpful when managing toilet training, and the managers are very flexible in terms of offering extra days if needed. Over the last couple of years, more use has been made of the online app in order to chart my children’s development and provide photos of them with their friends. This was particularly nice to see during the periods of lockdown as parents weren’t allowed into the nursery at that time. Overall we have been pleased to send our children to Acorns-in-Adel.

Acorns is a lovely nursery. Both my children are there presently and always return home excited to tell me about their busy days. They have fun activities, but also get monitored closely, and have upcoming events (special meals, fancy dress parties) to keep them interested!

Fantastic nursery, our son has attended from 9 months old and has just turned 3. All the staff have been fantastic from baby room, through tweenies and up to pre-school. He loves attending and always has a smile on his face when myself or my partner pick him up. The staff always actively engage with the children and all have a genuine care and interest in their behaviour, growth, and education. The food served for meals is always healthy and varied to give the children a balanced healthy diet and to help them explore new meals they may not always encounter at home. Our second child will be attending in due course and I would always recommend Acorns to friends. Fantastic by all.

Acorns is a fantastic nursery. They always do lots of exciting activities for the children, provide delicious meals, and are so supportive in creating a positive and fun learning environment. The team all go above a beyond. I would absolutely recommend Acorns to other families.

Highly recommend Acorns-in-Adel Private Day Nursery and Pre-school, Adel. The staff are fantastic, nothing is ever too much. The meals are freshly made and to any dietary requirements, my little girl is allergic to dairy and they go out of their way to ensure her meals are made separately with alternatives. Acorns-in-Adel Private Day Nursery and Pre-school, Adel is a lovely nursery and my little girl is always so happy to go.

Our family have been using Acorns-in-Adel since our eldest son attended from January 2014 and it really has become part of the family. We have experienced all three settings in the nursery twice over now and can highly recommend the teams. Both our sons have and do love the time they spend here. Each team has had a different input into the development of our children, but it is very clear that whichever room they spend time in, the staff really do care about and support the children in their care. The food they are provided with is also excellent with such an amazing variety. Thank you acorns team, you have really helped our boys develop into who they are today.

I cannot praise Acorns enough. Our daughter has been in the baby room now for four months. She settled in very quickly, the staff have got to know her and have built lovely bonds with her. The transition to going back to work has been made so much easier knowing I am leaving her with someone with whom she is happy and thriving. I can tell how much she likes the staff, blowing kisses to them as she leaves and having a big smile on her face when I drop her off. I have no faults, communication is excellent and the staff are fantastic.

The team at Acorns are amazing. My daughter is in the 2-3 years room and always comes home smiling. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and family and have. Thank you everyone and keep up the amazing work you do.

Great place and my toddler just runs in and waves me goodbye which shows how well he is getting looked after.

My son loves his days at nursery. All the staff know him well and he settled very quickly. It is a home from home and I would recommend it to other parents. I can call if I have concerns, such as my son feeling unhappy or unwell and they are happy to update me when he has had breakfast. He has never had a problem. We love it.

Acorns have been brilliant over the last year since my daughter started nursery in the baby room. The staff are incredible and made the transition back to work so much easier for me knowing she was being so well looked after and having fun. I can’t thank them enough. She has thrived there.

The progress my son is making is amazing. My son has special needs and was pre-verbal when he started and, due to the dedication of the staff, when he left he was starting to put words into sentences. The care and love they showed to him was incredible and I was always very happy to leave him. He was always happy to go to nursery, running down the drive and happily saying bye to me. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

My daughter has been attending Acorns-in-Adel Private Day Nursery for 3 months now. She loves going and is always happy to see her key worker and the other staff in the baby room. I love all the little updates that I receive on the portal and I am kept well informed of my daughter's routine. The homemade food goes down particularly well with my daughter! The nursery manager is very helpful and always responds quickly to my emails if I have any queries.

A wonderful nursery and preschool. My two children are very happy there. It is a caring and nurturing environment, with a real family feel. The preschool have done a great job getting my four year old ready for school.
