My son loves the place so much that sometimes in the evening he refuses to come home with us. The menu is healthy with variety all the time (honestly my son eats better at the nursery than at home)
The vibe we get from the place is very homely and the staff make us feel like family. Thank you so much for opening such a great nursery in the local community of Dyce.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, it measn so much to all the staff to know that our efforts are appreciated! Makes us try even harder!
My son joined when this nursery first opened and it's the best move I could of made. After having problems at a previous nursery I was very nervous to move him but the staff atmosphere and smile on my sons face made it clear I had nothing to worry about.
The staff are extremely welcoming and they built up very positive relationship with my son very quickly.
The variety of meals provided is fantastic and my son enjoys most meals.
The security system is a great way of seeing what my son is up to without seeing me first and he is always more than happy.
Overall - a fantastic nursery with brilliant staff!
I would highly recommend this nursery to friends and family. My son attends once a week and when it's time to go home, he wants to stay and play a little more! I'm extremely satisfied with the variety of healthy meals that are provided. The staff are very easy to talk to and provide all the support my son needs when I'm not around. I do believe that the nursery has helped my sons learning and social interactions with other adults and kids.
Our son has attended Banana Moon since it opened in October 2015 for one day per week. He found it hard to settle initially and the nursery staff were amazing and they did a gradual phasing in to get him settled. He still grumps being left, even now, 8 months on after attending but he has always fully settled within half an hour of being at the nursery. The food is all prepared on site and a varied menu is always provided. I feel the care of the children is of absolute priority to the nursery and staff and have full confidence in leaving my child in their care. My son's key worker is fantastic and she really seems to have formed a strong bond even though he is only in once a week. I feel the nursery is well managed and they have always responded promptly to any questions/queries I have had.
What a lovely review thank you Lyndsey! I am sure Banana Moon Aberdeen will be pleased to read how positive you are about the nursery and the team :)
My children are really enjoying the nursery. They settled in very quickly to the nursery and bonded well with the staff. They do a wide variety of activities - messy play, craft, role play - and lots of outdoor play. There is excellent security, the staff are very friendly and caring and encourage parents to be involved. I would highly recommend to other parents.
We love Banana Moon day nursery! My daughter has settled in well to the Baby Moons room, the nursery staff are fantastic. The children take part in a wide range of activities, arts and crafts. A great deal of effort must be put into planning for each day and it really shows. We enjoy receiving and reading our daily diary which details all meals, nappies, bottles, naps and activities for the day. My daughter seems to eat everything she is given, even things that she won't eat at home. All in all, we are so glad that we chose Banana Moon, we have seen such a difference in her progress in only a few months of her being there. I have met the nursery owner a few times whilst collecting/dropping off and it is so lovely to see that he takes such a keen interest in the running of the nursery on a day to day basis. I am very happy to leave my little girl there knowing that the owners, managers and staff are so passionate about Banana Moon.
I have great communication from the nursery staff on a daily basis, the facility is brilliant, he is a picky eater and they have introduced him to a wide variety of foods which are all fresh and made on the premises.
I would recommend them to other parents looking for childcare.
Lovely to hear your feedback about Banana Moon Dyce, thank you for sharing :)

Will and his family are dedicated to raising the bar in early years provision and strive to support the staff teams, families and most importantly - the children. Will and his Wife Cindy are very supportive in helping the nursery meet the ideal of raising the attainment level and making Scotland the best place to raise children.

Hi, my name is Amanda,
I have been working in Early Years since I left school, and it is a vocation that I am incredibly passionate about and dedicated to. I was the Nursery Manager of Banana Moon Dyce from October 2015 until March 2025, during which time I worked alongside Will to establish a nurturing and supportive environment for children and families. Our goal has always been to reduce stress, provide high-quality care, and create a setting where children can thrive.
As we expanded to include Westhill, Denmore, and Aberdeen International, my role evolved, and I now serve as the Operational Director of Cygnus Enterprises, supporting the nurseries with their operational needs. In this capacity, I focus on guiding and mentoring teams, ensuring that high standards are maintained across all sites. I am proactive in sourcing and engaging teams with training opportunities to upskill our staff, ultimately benefiting the children by ensuring they receive the highest quality care and education.
Continuous professional development is at the heart of everything we do, and I take great pride in supporting our staff as they work towards qualifications, refine policies, and enhance practices within their settings.
It is truly a pleasure and an honour to work with children and families, witnessing the incredible progression and development of every child in our care.

Lauren has recently taken on the role as Nursery manager who is being supported by our Operational Director Amanda.
