Child First Welbeck

Our son loves it here and all the staff are really friendly. The majority of the time he doesn’t want to come home which is so warming to know he really does love nursery. I also love that all the staff know his name which is great considering how many children there are to remember!

Cannot recommend this nursery enough! My daughter attended Child First from being 18 months old and from her very first day I have been continuously impressed! It made myself and my daughter extremely sad when it was time for her to start school this September! The staff are phenomenal, extremely knowledgeable, caring, kind and are always willing to answer any questions. Nothing was too much trouble! My daughter loved being outside at nursery splashing in puddles, running around in the rain, having stories under the trees and her favourite part was the allotment and being able to eat the tasty treats! The nursery itself is in one of the most amazing locations and the fact that the children get to go and explore is fantastic! I cannot say enough! An absolute gem of a nursery!

I was so worried about sending my little one to nursery and really struggled to find the right place. Thankfully I came across Child First Welbeck. It is a fantastic outdoor nursery. My little one has such a wonderful time and sometimes we struggle to get her to come home at the end of the day! The staff are all so attentive, caring and kind. I can't recommend it enough.

My daughter has attended the nursery since 2020. The staff have been amazing and supportive. She has developed intellectually and learned many new skills. Everyone is approachable and the outside area is amazing.

Fab nursery, our son started at around 7 months old and with both myself and my partner working full time we were looking for the right place for us as a whole family. The staff have been super supportive with my partner working away, they genuinely care and keep me regularly updated with pictures to reassure us both. Our son has been with the team for around 18 months now and is very attached to his key workers, all of the staff say hello to him each morning and know him by name. Our son has developed really well and even uses sign language to say please and thank you daily. He loves the time outdoors, the activities and the food provided. We are very lucky to have this nursery so close to home we would highly recommend it.

So far my son has been with this nursery for 6 months (since he was 7 months) and I wish I knew about this nursery sooner when my daughter was younger. My boy has come on leaps and bounds and absolutely loves this nursery. They are based outside and the staff look after them and love them like their own, the kids are free and get to explore their areas as they wish and it looks like so much fun! The relationships my son has built is incredible and he really wants for nothing when he is there. Would 100% recommend it to anyone who is outdoorsy and wants their child to be around nature and explore!

When looking for a nursery for my son, I wanted two things: for them to provide him with experiences I couldn't do at home and to care and love him like I do. This nursery ticks both boxes! My son started at 9 months and he has settled in so well and that is down to the staff there. I cannot speak more highly of them and they have made the whole family feel welcome. The nursery has so many opportunities for children to learn through play and the staff will do anything to help families, whether it's with sleep, eating or finances. I can see that by the way they interact with my son and take the time to speak to myself about his day, that they genuinely care for him and, as a working mum, that is so reassuring. I could not be happier with my choice of nursery.

Couldn't recommend this place enough! My daughter absolutely loves attending this nursery. The staff are all so welcoming and they are brilliant with the children. Facilities are amazing, my daughter loves playing outdoors in the gardens, lots of things to play on. Her learning and confidence have come on so much since starting here.

The staff at Child First Welbeck Day Nursery go above and beyond for the children, they have lots of fun through play and singing and we, as a family, love it. Any issues ever raised are always rectified or responded to very quickly and the staff do a wonderful job!

The team have been very supportive in settling my daughter into the nursery. They have been very flexible and adapted to suit her needs. They are also great at meeting specific dietary requirements. The setting is lovely with so much wonderful outdoor space. My son also attends the nursery and has so much fun at Child First Welbeck Day Nursery.

My daughter has been going since she was 8 months old and absolutely loves it. I felt comfortable leaving her in their care and now she's 18 months and running around, it's nice to see she has so much freedom to play and learn in and outside. The staff really care about the children and build strong relationships with them which helps the children feel safe and secure.

We were extremely lucky to stumble upon the best nursery with next to no research. From settling sessions, reassuring anxious parents kids are okay, amazing settings and helpful staff to embracing reusable nappies and being flexible in their approach to everything from care to settling sessions and changes to days and times, the manager and her team are the people you want looking after your children. Our eldest started at age 1, is still there loving it now and has just been joined by a little sibling, the settling has been flexible to suit their individual requirements, with great, honest communication throughout. They strike the perfect balance between activities set up to invite interaction and unstructured play and exploration. If your child loves outdoor, messy, child-led fun and freedom to explore like my kids do then I recommend this nursery with all my heart.

The staff have been amazing and have gone above and beyond to support my child. My child has attended for a number of years and I would recommend the nursery to anyone. The outdoors space and the freedom they have to explore are amazing and I haven't seen any other nursery like it in the local area. They hold amazing events to involve the parents such as a summer bbq and keep you updated on what activities and progress your child is making.

My son started Child First when he was just 9 months old. He is now almost 3 years old and either hitting or exceeding all milestones for his age. Fully toilet trained, very confident, talkative toddler we now have, with many thanks to the kind and caring staff at Child First. Having our son attend three days a week, it’s so lovely to get updates throughout the day whilst at work; including what yummy homemade food he has had to eat, how much, how long he has napped for and even activities he has been up to. Such a great way of treating him and asking him about his day, being able to fill in the gaps. We have been so pleased with all at Child First that we will be sending our second child there! Highly recommend.

My little boy (almost 2) started at the nursery at the beginning of July and we are so pleased we chose Child First. He has settled straight in and can’t wait to go in and play. The staff are very friendly and we love that the nursery focuses so much on outdoor play in all weathers. Other nurseries in the area feel sterile, Child First is set on stunning grounds and has a lovely rustic feel. The updates from the nursery throughout the day via the app are a lovely touch and we look forward to receiving them each day. Highly recommend to all parents!

My daughter started attending Welbeck at 15 months old, she is now 3 and I cannot praise all the staff enough. She has gone from crying when we leave her everyday (she settled after 5/10 mins) and not wanting to attend to wanting to attend every day. My daughter is such a lovely little girl, chatty, inquisitive and polite which I credit to the nursery. The facilities are 1000% how all nurseries should be. The staff are phenomenal and extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions I have and nothing is too much trouble when it comes to caring for the children. My daughter has been attending Welbeck Child First since January 2021. In addition, we did a few sessions with the nursery April-June 2020 as they offered a few sessions to key workers during the lockdown. It is a great nursery located in a beautiful estate surrounded by countryside with a lot of space to play outdoors. The nursery manager and the staff are very professional, approachable and adaptive. They create an encouraging and stimulating environment for learning and development. My daughter absolutely loves going there. I highly recommend Welbeck Child First.

We have both our children attend this nursery, one in the fledglings room and one in the rooster's room. They both love it. They both have really good bonds with all the staff there and we couldn’t be happier with how they’re progressing. The staff are great and there’s a really healthy mix of play and learn along with all the outdoor activities they get to do as well. There’re days I could quit work and get dropped off with the kids in honesty.

I absolutely love this nursery, the ethos and the staff. My daughter (despite sometimes having to be peeled off me) has a wonderful time and as an only child, it is an invaluable experience for her to socialise and make friends within her age group. The indoor space is great but the outdoor facility is what makes it, it’s huge and this coupled with it being well away from any roads is fantastic. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone especially if quality outdoor time is a priority.
