Child First Welbeck

I have over 20 years of experience working with children from newborns to teenagers. I began my career whilst studying at university and worked as a 1:1 with a 4-year-old boy with autism, this sparked an interest in how the mind works, especially in children. I then worked in a mother and baby unit, supporting young mums and their children and teaching them about life skills, how to care for their children, and how to look after themselves. I worked for Nottingham City council for 10 years as a senior residential social care worker with children ranging from 4 years to 19 years, with learning disabilities, autism, and mental and physical disabilities. I love weekends away with my family, very spicy food, live concerts and long walks with my dog.

My name is Courtney, I am a Team Supervisor and I work in the Nestling and Hatchlings spaces. I am a qualified level 4 Early years practitioner. I love my job helping children to develop their skills through play. I work alongside other staff in my team to provide a caring and safe environment for the children here at Child First Welbeck. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and my cats.

In my spare time, I enjoy countryside walks, spending time with my loved ones and exploring new places.

My name is Emma, I work in the Fledglings ‘Space. I am a qualified level 3 practitioner and I have worked in childcare for 15 plus years. I have 3 children 2 boys and 1 girl. I enjoy spending time with my family when I am not at work.

Hi, my name is Megan, I have a level 3 qualification in childcare. I have 13 years of experience in childcare working with children aged 2-5 years. I have worked at Child First Welbeck for 4 years and I am currently working in the Fledglings space (2-3 years).

I have been working at Child First Welbeck for 3 years and in that time, I have worked with ages 2-5 years old and I am currently working in the Fledglings space. I have a fiancé and a son who is 2 called Reuben. In my spare time, I love making memories with my family.

My name is Louise and I have worked with preschool children for 20 years. For 16.5 years it was with children with additional needs. I qualified as an NVQ level 3 in early years care and education practitioner. Family time is extremely important to me, and it’s fantastic that we have just had a new addition to ours; Elijah Daniel who is extremely scrummy.

My name is Hannah. I have worked in childcare for 12 years. I started in outdoor pursuits centres and then worked in nurseries and primary schools. I work for Child First 2 days per week, usually on a Monday and Wednesday in the Roosters preschool space. I hold a level 4 qualification in childcare, including an assessor’s qualification at level 3. In my spare time, I enjoy meeting friends and family and going for long walks.

My name is Storm and I currently work in the fledgelings space. I am qualified in level 4 advanced childcare and management. I have worked in childcare for over 7 years now. my Favourite part of being a Child practitioner is watching children learn & grow in confidence. I have a beautiful son of my own and in my spare time, I like to spend it with friends & family and make lots of memories!

Hi, my name is Leah, I have a double level 3 health and social care qualification and have worked in childcare within private nurseries for the last 8 years. I love working in childcare because no day is ever the same and we learn from the children as much as they learn from us!

Hi, my name is Caitlin, I recently joined the Roosters team as a practitioner! I have just completed my Level 3 qualification in Childcare and I am going on to study for my foundation degree in Childcare this September alongside working at Child First Welbeck.

Hi, my name is Ellen. I am the finance and administration supervisor at Child First Welbeck. I have a degree in Advertising and Digital Marketing however I have always wanted to work in a childcare environment which is why I love working at the nursery! I have a daughter who is currently in the Hatchling Space so it is lovely to see as a parent all the amazing work the practitioners do!

In my spare time, I like to go on days out with my family and take as many trips to Disneyland as I can fit!
