Child First Welbeck

Two of my children attend Child First Welbeck Day Nursery and we can’t rate them highly enough. Every single member of staff is fantastic and go above and beyond for all the children. Every day they’re doing something new and exciting, both my children go in and come out beaming. There’s only one word to describe it…perfect!

My daughter has attended Child First Welbeck since September 2021. She has settled in amazingly with the help of the wonderful staff members, she had never been left with anyone before this time and it was very comforting knowing that she was being left in very capable and caring hands. The setting is beautiful, the garden is amazing and the rooms are homely! The staff are knowledgeable, very helpful and extremely friendly and they make me feel at ease. I know my daughter loves the nursery just as much as I do!

From the minute our son entered the nursery to have a look around, you could see how happy he was and how much he felt at home. All the staff are very welcoming and nothing is ever too much. Since joining the nursery our son has been a little under the weather but the staff have been so helpful and caring towards him, taking the time to make sure he is okay and updating his dad and me. They really do care. The setting at the nursery is very outdoorsy, with lots of planting vegetables, playing in the mud, painting outside and generally exploring which our son really loves. The app that is used for parents is so easy to use and you can see exactly what they have done with their day and at what time. Seeing the pictures when you're at work really does make your day. I cannot recommend this nursery enough and we are only three weeks in.

Child First is a wonderful nursery. I send both of my boys there and since they started, I have seen them blossom into confident young boys. The staff are so supportive and helpful. I couldn’t wish for a better environment for them.

My 21-month-old literally runs into his room! Proof to me of how much he loves the place and this is often confirmed when his staff comment about how much he loves his time there. I feel on top of the world when he comes home with his special pictures and handmade pieces. I collect him happy and often covered in all the activities he has enjoyed - which I absolutely love to see! I can see how much the staff care for my son but I also feel very welcome. They share information about my son and we work together to support his development! The grounds are a dream and the staff are always so positive - I’m half tempted to apply for a job there myself! Can’t thank them enough for the peace of mind they give me and couldn’t imagine my son going anywhere else. I think he’d still find his way and run through their door.

We couldn't have chosen a better nursery setting for our 19-month-old daughter. She has been going to Child First Welbeck since she was 12-months and she is settled, happy and thriving. The nursery is perfectly set up for the children to play, explore and be themselves. Despite the relaxed nature, which we love, the staff know every detail about our daughter and show genuine care and excitement when she achieves something new. We are kept fully updated on her daily meals, naps and nappy changes via the app. Communication with all staff and management is excellent.

My grandson goes to this nursery three days a week and it is brilliant. The staff are helpful, kind, caring, great at their job and understand how difficult it is to drop off your child when they are clinging to your legs! I know as soon as I am driving off he is happy playing and eating his breakfast. Where else can they get out and collect eggs from the chicken, grow vegetables and get muddy? It’s how we all grew up and it’s great for their development. The manager cannot do enough to make every day a fun day and a place to enjoy. The home-cooked food is something else as well, it’s a pity they don’t do take away!

Our daughter goes to Child First Welbeck Day Nursery and she loves it there, we have been going since she was 8-months-old and she's now in the preschool garden, she has come a long way with the help from all of the staff and her friends. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone as it's just amazing and the staff are so kind and supportive.

Our daughter attends this nursery and we are more than satisfied with the level of engagement from both management and staff. From day one we felt the staff understood the importance of each child’s individual development, and this shows with the daily updates of their diary and the feedback we receive in terms of activities and learning milestones. Where special instructions are required such as changes to nap schedules, these are promptly adhered to, with feedback again on how it is going to ensure home and nursery life are closely aligned. The facilities are unique and attractive compared to those we have used previously, and we would recommend the nursery to new parents without hesitation.

Child First allows children to have freedom to choose, learn through play and develop at their own pace. The majority of the time the children play outside and are not confined to a classroom setting. My son loves being outside and getting dirty and at Welbeck, he's allowed to do this. We can't believe how much my son's confidence has grown. He gets so excited when we arrive at nursery in the morning and we always pick him up tired out, covered in dirt, well fed and happy! As parents we couldn't ask for better.

I can’t wait for my little boy to continue his nursery journey here and flourish and grow even more!

I would recommend to anyone to come and take a look, once you have been you won't want to leave. Seeing is believing.

Well, where do I start it’s hard to put into words just how incredible this magical place is. Our journey with Child First started around 3 years ago when my eldest child started here and soon after my youngest child also started. My eldest child had always been used to being outdoors so that was the first thing that attracted me to Child First and wow did it deliver. Within weeks of being there, he had already built a very strong relationship with the staff and still does to this day even though he now attends school. My youngest child still goes to Child First and I don’t even want to think about the day we will have to say our goodbyes he absolutely adores nursery and has a very strong bond with all staff. Throughout the years I have also grown very close to all the staff and fall back on them for help and advise when needed. This nursery is our home from home our friends that became family.

Like all the reviews. This nursery is superb in every manner. Professional safe and the ability for kids to explore nature. My son has been going here since he was 9 months old and loves every aspect of it. Regular crying when leaving (as home isn't as fun). He's developed in leaps and bounds going to Welbeck Child First. The dedication and love of the staff are beyond belief. You will not be disappointed at all. Quiet beautiful surroundings. We didn't look round any other nurseries we instantly fell in love. Our second child will be attending as well.

The staff are fantastic - they have taken the time to get to know our son, and we felt confident from day one that he would be well looked after, cared for and developed. He enjoys going, tries lots of new things and is happy and content at the nursery.

Thank you to everyone at Child First for all your kindness and support over the past year, you truly are amazing and we wouldn't go anywhere else!

We absolute love Child First Welbeck. Their ethos, space and countryside setting is something that is really important to us. Children being themselves, learning through play and coming home covered in mud or paint with big happy smiles. The staff are all wonderful too, I always know my children will have a magical day while I’m at work. Both of my children started at Child First Welbeck from nine months old. If you are looking for a nursery you really must check it out.

But it's not just the environment, the garden's and the onsite chef... its the staff... There's nothing these guys wouldn't do not only for the kids but for us parents too! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my daughter, and I will be heartbroken beyond words when she has to leave to go to school next year!

My son had been attending Child First Welbeck since November 2019, and I cannot begin to explain how much he enjoys it every day. The staff team are incredible and work so hard to ensure the children have natural resources and activities to get involved in every day. My son has grown in confidence, language, friendships and independence. He truly loves that he has the freedom to choose the activities that he enjoys, explores the spaces he wants to and interacts with the staff and children. We could not wish for a better setting for our son.

My daughter attended Child First Welbeck, so there was no question when it came to picking a nursery for my son. The setting and space are idyllic, my son is only 11-months-old but already loves going to nursery. He is already growing in confidence and gets so excited when we arrive in a morning. The love and care he gets from the staff is second to none, and I have absolutely no worries leaving him, knowing how happy he is. I’m looking forward to seeing him grow and fully appreciate the outdoor space and facilities that the nursery has to offer. Seeing my daughter graduate from this nursery and go off to school happy, confident and independent was the best feeling ever, and I can’t wait to see him do the same!
