Lancing Day Nursery & Pre-school

When looking for a good nursery I always look at it from my child's perspective. The staff are always friendly with a smile on there face's. All staff are so helpful in any question's you may have. Which I found useful as I liked to ask how my daughter got on in the day. The cleanliness of the nursery. It's always well kept and looked clean!. The space they have to play around in. There were lots of toys and play corner which my daughter loved!. Also the safety of the childproof doors. Where I knew my child couldn't get out and into the road. The garden is a lovely space for the children to run around in. My daughter loved the play shed which they did lots of role play. Overall our experience with this nursery was a happy one to remember. My daughter always came out full of smiles. And highly recommend A step Ahead Nursery.

She is growing in confidence and learning every day. Her communication skills are developing well and she really enjoys her time at nursery.

My daughter started in the bumblebee room when she 2 years old. I was very nervous leaving my little girl as I’m a single mum and she had never spent that long away from me. I needn’t have worried, she settled well and had the most amazing key worker who she adored. She spent a year in bumblebee room and had so much fun. I was happy knowing she was safe and well looked after. She always came home excited to tell me about her day and couldn’t wait to go back. The staff always kept me well informed and updated on anything I needed to know. My daughter came on in leaps and bounds after the time she spent in this lovely room and I’m thankful for the progress she has made which will help her in the future.

This has been a good nursery for both my children. The bumblebees room was the room that helped my youngest son grow and gain confidence the most. The staff are amazing and so supportive to both the children and the parents. They took the time to understand the children as individuals and really understood what it was that my son enjoyed and worked with that with him. His and mine experience was great for his time in the bumblebees room at A Step Ahead Nursery (Lancing).

My son, at 12 months, settled so well here and now he’s 19 months. They even got him into a great napping routine and followed my suggestions. The staff are really lovely and do loads of activities with them. Really glad I sent my son here and he loves going.

I like the big garden and play area.

My daughter has been going to A Step Ahead since she was 18 months old. The staff are friendly and nothing’s too much trouble. My daughter recently went through a phase of not wanting to go due to being off and a few of her older friends going to school, but the staff have been very supportive and suggesting different ideas on how to resettle her back in has been so helpful. She always comes out saying how much fun she had.

Absolutely fantastic nursery, the staff really are amazing! A massive shout out to the girls in the caterpillar/baby room - the baby room manager went above and beyond when my daughter started 2 years ago. They are always so happy, friendly, approachable and so much fun we knew it was the perfect nursery for our little girl and that she was in the best possible hands. We loved seeing all the photos and videos throughout the day of what she was getting up to. She’s just joined the preschool room and it’s such a shame that her time got cut short in the bumblebee room due to COVID as her key worker (with her ukulele) was a real hit! Our daughter absolutely loves going to nursery and we’ve loved seeing her development and confidence grow throughout her time there. Our son has now just started in the baby room and we were so excited for him to start - we’ve got to know his key worker well over the last 2 years and she, along with the baby room manager, are both pretty wonderful.

One of the best nurseries around Lancing. The staff's commitment, diligence, hardworking and dedication to their work and duty of care is above all exceptional and deserves praise. Found the team exceptionally caring.

We are very pleased with the nursery. The staff are friendly and the facilities are great. Our toddler has flourished at A Step Ahead Lancing and thoroughly enjoys attending. We would highly recommend the nursery.

Our son is in the 2-3 room and absolutely loves it. He started when he was 10 months old and every step of the way his key workers and other staff have always made him feel looked after and settled in. I know he is happy at nursery and the activities he undertakes has allowed him to develop so much. We hope to send our daughter to the nursery too.

My son started at the nursery 3 weeks ago. The staff are very nice, they do a range of activities with the children and I am kept up to date via an app which they inform me what they have been doing and photos. He has breakfast and lunch there and very much enjoys them. His key worker is friendly and approachable and informs me on his day on pick up.

My daughter has been at this nursery from 10 months old she is now 2 years old. She absolutely loves it. I would highly recommend as the staff are all so lovely and she enjoys her time there especially the singing at group times.

I absolutely love this nursery. It took a while for my little girl to settle in after returning from lockdown but she's settled into the new routines again great and absolutely loves it. She loves all the key workers and especially the nursery manager. The whole team have really helped my daughter to exceed in so many areas, and overcome some struggles. She is growing up into a lovely little girl and is going to be ready for big school next year thanks to your staff. Fingers crossed that my son can join in April as I really don't want him to go somewhere else. You should be very proud of your team they are all amazing. Thank you.

My daughter attended this nursery therefore I have now sent my son. He absolutely loves it. They make him feel safe and welcome when he feels unsure of entering. They have put lots of safeguards in place regarding the Covid-19. I feel happy knowing that my son has lots to do at this nursery and is safe and happy. Nothing is ever too much for them and they go above and beyond for a child’s health, safety, happiness and well being. My son has learnt a lot and even says a few words now since the short few weeks he’s been there which at home we have been struggling to achieve. I’m very satisfied with how the school deal with every situation and are always thinking of the children and parents first. Thank you. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to know their child is in safe hands!

Brilliant nursery, my son goes and absolutely loves it. The staff are very friendly, helpful and informative. My son is always excited to be going to nursery, to see his friends and play with all different varieties of toys, role-play and, especially enjoys, being out in the garden. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My journey's been amazing. The staff are super cooperative and nice. The head of the nursery is the most cheerful and lively women I've ever come across. My girl could not attend nursery due to holidays but they, later on, settled her very well and nicely. Extremely happy and satisfied. 5 stars.
