Number 9 The Nursery

Cannot rate this nursery highly enough. They have looked after my little boy for several years and helped him grow and develop - all the staff are so caring and helpful - thank you to all the amazing people here!

Today is my son's last day at Number 9 The Nursery after joining exactly 3 years ago. He is leaving the nursery to start Reception at school in a couple of weeks. He's had a wonderful time developing friendships with other children, learning from attentive and caring professionals and been able to have an array of experiences in the activities provided. The nursery has always been a safe, caring and supportive environment for our son to go from baby to toddler to pre school. As parents, my husband and I have always been able to communicate freely with the nursery (both the support team and the key workers). The nursery uses an app with which to communicate with parents, sharing photos, videos and observations so we always feel included in our son's activities. Over time, we have seen the facilities improve at the nursery. I highly recommend Number 9!

We just love picking up our grandchildren from Number 9. They are so happy when they come to the door and tell us all about the fun things they have done that day. The staff are great and so helpful and friendly. They always tell us how the grandchildren have been and what they have done that day so we can build on this when we get home, whether it be in chats, play, food or bath-time. It is so good to see how well they have developed at Number 9, not only with learning, speech and reasoning but as individuals with confidence and a keen curiosity.

I can not fault the nursery it’s well run, organised and I would say best in the area!

Great nursery, both our children really enjoy going there. The outdoor garden is great and there is a good range of activities. They particularly enjoy Pro Stars and Baby Ballet. Staff are personable and professional.

My daughter was at Number 9 from 12 months to 3 years old. She had an amazing experience at the nursery from being cared for by the baby room leader in the baby room, the deputy leader and the room leader helping her advance in the 2 year old room, and the two pre-school practitioners helping her transition smoothly into pre-school. I've seen my daughter develop so well during her time at Number 9 and that's down to the long-standing staff. The updates from head office along with the planned activities are well thought through and fun for the children especially sports day and when the ducklings visited. The staff were amazing with my daughter's potty training journey and their end of day updates (even during lockdown) were detailed. Thank you to the manager and her lovely team. We will miss you all at Number 9.

We were lucky enough to get a place here for a short period of transition. The whole team were fantastic and our daughter and so well organised. They looked after her very well, catered for her interests and returned her at the end of each day with a lovely report on what they had been up to, how she got involved etc. The App they run gives excellent updates on what they do in their day, and also just to manage things admin wise. I would highly recommend them!

Number 9 has been an excellent nursery. My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her time in a stimulating and engaging learning environment. She has grown in confidence and is super happy to go to nursery and when she returns home. The staff have been so helpful, caring and responsive to my daughter's likes and needs. She never once mentioned her old nursery and adapted so quickly thanks to the fun and welcoming environment and excellent, warm staff.

I can't thank you all enough for welcoming my granddaughter into Number 9 The Nursery. She has so enjoyed her days with you, from watching chickens hatch to learning her phonics at age seventeen months. She tells "Nanny" how much she loves her nursery and is proud to call all the staff Auntie. She feels safe, loved and happy in your presence, what more could her family wish for. This is an amazing nursery! My daughter has been attending the baby floor since October and we couldn't be happier. She absolutely loves it and she thrives there learning new things every week! The staff are excellent, keeping us up-to-date with her progress and the care and attention to each child is of the highest level. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. It has made a big difference to our everyday life knowing that we can drop off our daughter to a very safe environment that makes her so happy! Thank you so much for everything!

Number 9 The Nursery is wonderful. From top to bottom. My little 2 year old loves it there, and this is no mean feat! Great activities, lovely outdoor play area, amazing staff. We visited a few nurseries before being blown away by Number 9.

Number 9 the Nursery is absolutely wonderful - hands down miles ahead of other nurseries we have encountered. The building itself is a lovely light-filled detached Victorian house with a large garden space, numerous rooms and activities scheduled for the children. The management have been incredibly forthcoming and communicative with us, and our son settled in very smoothly, starting at just over 1 year old. You are sent regular updates including a daily diary detailing exactly what your child has/hasn't eaten, their sleep time and length, and their toilet habits or nappies (wet/soiled and times they were changed). They also send photos when possible, which are really comforting to see during a working day when you are apart! No hesitation in recommending this nursery. The only thing to note is they have quite long waiting lists, so it is worth applying well ahead of when you envisage your child actually starting.

I would highly recommend Number 9 the Nursery. My son absolutely loves his time here and is always so excited to attend in the morning. The staff are fantastic, they are so kind and friendly and go above and beyond to make the children feel special. The nursery supply all food, nappies, suncream and a little drawstring bag which the children use. The activities the nursery provide are brilliant, including baby yoga and dance and the opportunities the children have to immerse themselves in the wider world is great. This month, the children took part in a range of creative Easter projects and have currently been watching and then caring for chicks hatching out of eggs. The planning of creative lessons is to an outstanding level and my child is really thriving in his language development and social and personal skills.

We’ve absolutely loved Number 9. Our little boy was 13 months when he started, he was very nervous at the start. He’d never been left with anyone else before, but the team at Number 9 were so very caring and helpful in helping him settle. He now goes to nursery with a smile on his face, and constantly talks about his key worker (or ‘burger’ as he can’t say her name!) and the room leader! We love seeing the wonderful photo updates of the fun things he’s doing!

Number 9 Nursery has been an absolute blessing for our child at a time when she has been unable to see family due to Covid-19. The nursery has provided her with so many activities to not only develop a wide range of skills but also brought her so much joy. From hatching baby chicks to learning how to spell her name, all the activities are there to develop our child's skills in the world and are done in a fun and engaging way. The feedback from the team at Number 9 on our child's development is always very detailed and I feel like she is absolutely in safe hands. Highly recommend this nursery!

An amazing nursery, so glad I chose this nursery for my son. They provide a multitude of activities for the children and my son always is excited and happy. The staff are amazing and do a wonderful job!

The nursery has been very flexible with our wish to use cloth nappies and a baby-led weaning approach to moving from milk to solid food.

We signed up to the nursery pre Covid-19 so were lucky to have a tour and decide if this was the best place for our daughter. One of the things that stood out to us was the cleanliness and the outdoor play area. Unfortunately, when she had her settling period and started, it was during Covid-19 and for safety it was a case of dropping her off at the door and hoping for the best. The communication was great and we needn't have worried. It has now been around six months and she absolutely loves it, we would recommend Number 9 The Nursery to friends and family and couldn't be happier with our decision to send our first baby here. The staff are all lovely and they keep her entertained, happy and well fed!

My child loves going to the nursery, it is a kind and loving place. All the staff are amazing and really care for the children in their care. We are very happy with the standards and feel very safe sending our child there.
