Number 9 The Nursery

Having had two children attend the nursery and my youngest about to start school, I'm genuinely gutted we have to leave! Couldn't have wished for a better setting for my daughters. Number 9 has been incredibly friendly, supportive and nurturing. My girls (and I) have made brilliant friends too. I am confident they have the skills to make a flying start at school. And not to be underestimated, the office staff are also fantastic, the systems used are easy and efficient and the communication is excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Number 9 to anyone.

My son started in the baby room in November 2023 and as a new mother, with all the bad news surrounding nurseries, I was apprehensive about sending him to one and going back to work. The assistant manager made both of us feel right at home and from day 1 my son has never cried about going to nursery. The staff in the baby room have ensured my little boy is well looked after and they constantly provide updates throughout the week on how he's doing. Sending my son here was the best decision I've ever made.

Number 9 The Nursery is an outstanding nursery. My little girl attended the nursery for two years before moving to a preschool (we only moved so that she would be familiar with the school she would be attending in September) and she loved being there. My little boy has recently started and took a while to settle, during which the team in the baby room were so lovely and supportive and consequently, he is now very happy and settled at Number 9 (very attached to his key worker which is a great sign!) The facilities are fantastic, there is a lot of space for the children. The outdoor space is one of the best I’ve seen at a nursery and the activities are amazing - they have classes in the week included in the price (e.g. baby ballet, sing and sign) and they have chicks/ducklings which hatch around spring and reindeer at Christmas which are very exciting for the children. The food is also excellent. All nurseries are expensive but you get what you pay for at Number 9 and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

My little girl loves attending Number 9 The Nursery, she has such an amazing bond with not only her amazing key worker but all of the staff! They do a fantastic job keeping parents informed of what areas they're working on in preschool, they are extensive. It's really comforting to know that every aspect of our child's development is being attended to. The menu and extra activities, such as French class and baby ballet, are also very impressive!

Our second child is now on baby floor after our first child spent a very happy and engaging four years at Number 9 The Nursery. It’s lovely to be back with so many familiar faces in the caring staff team. Our baby settled in well and she already takes part in a great selection of activities there, from sensory play to baby ballet and sports. All the staff treat the children with such love and attention. It’s wonderful to have our baby there.

The care is outstanding. It’s a home-from-home for our child. They go above and beyond, they cater to every individual need of each child and family. We are always greeted with smiles and such energy. Thank you Number 9 The Nursery!

All of the staff at Number 9 The Nursery have been fantastic. From the baby floor when our daughter first joined, through to the toddler floor and now pre-school. They are all so warm, enthusiastic and supportive. They have helped support our daughter's growth both through a structured programme and with freshly cooked meals on-site. We couldn't recommend this nursery any higher.

Our daughter really loves attending Number 9. She always opens her arms to go straight to the ladies when we drop her off, a big smile on her face and a wave goodbye to us. That shows me that she’s treated with love and care there, and that’s my absolute priority with childcare.

Absolutely fantastic nursery and preschool. My children love it here and have had so many experiences that they couldn't have gotten anywhere else. The staff care a lot about the children and go to great lengths to ensure that they are learning, engaged and well looked after.

Our daughter was cared for brilliantly by the team at Number 9 The Nursery. The app was so helpful, we received regular updates (not only at the end of the day, but with regular observations) which meant that we could track our daughter’s progress often. Communication was excellent, our daughter thrived, and we would definitely recommend to other parents.

Number 9 Nursery is simply exceptional in every way. We could not have been happier. Such a special place with amazing staff, who are compassionate, professional and very capable. Do not hesitate in signing up your child. Our daughter had the most amazing start in life here and we were so sorry to leave due to relocation.

I am so happy we chose Number 9 The Nursery my daughter started when she was 13 months old being a lockdown baby I wasn't sure how she would settle but she did just brilliantly. She has now just turned 3 and is defo loving life at nursery. All the extra activities the Nursery do is amazing from sing and sign, baby ballet, getting animals in etc is brilliant. The key workers are always supportive when a recent grandparent passed away they fully supported helping my daughter with any struggles that may come with that. We still have another 16 months to go and can’t wait to see how much more she thrives and also have enrolled my youngest.

This is a really special nursery, with excellent caring staff and a warm nurturing atmosphere. Our son has really grown in confidence since joining as a baby until 3 years old - he has built lovely friendships and is learning the basics of phonics confidently ahead of starting school. The building also has great facilities with a large garden and lovely light throughout the building - something that is noticeably lacking in other nurseries we visited. It has a long waiting list, so is worth applying ahead with that in mind!

Staff have always been supportive and the kids love them. Staff turnover has also been low helping strong relationships between the children and staff to develop, plus consistency in communication on the development of the children with me as a parent.

This nursery is exceptional. The staff is caring, nurturing and always smiling and present. It is clean and full of fun activities that are also educational. Our son loves it there. We've never had any issues with them.

They are brilliant! The staff are so friendly and all trained very well. They genuinely care about the children and their development, I can't recommend them highly enough! My child has gone there since he was 9 months and he absolutely loves it. They also set them up really well for starting school.

Number 9 Nursery is incomparable to any other nursery. My daughter absolutely adores her days there and the team are always so kind and go above and beyond with the extra educational activities. I feel safe in the knowledge that my little one will be well prepped for ‘big school’

My son joined Number 9 when he was seventeen months and is now four, attending preschool. He absolutely loves his days there, which are full of fun and interesting activities. The staff are all brilliant and they've really supported him develop a range of skills, - we particularly appreciate how they communicate with us on his development. We rate Number 9 very highly and are very pleased we've found somewhere so good for our children.

My daughter first started attending Number 9 The Nursery when she was 5 months old and she is now getting ready to start school in September. My daughter is confident and happy and I have no doubt that is because of the input she's had from Number 9. They are not just a Nursery but have been a partner with us in raising our daughter. My only complaint is that I wish I could keep them with us until she's at least 18! They have been a source of knowledge, experience and love for almost 5 years. How will we ever cope without them! They are more than just a Nursery. They honestly care deeply for all the children there. There's a reason why they are outstanding! My daughter is going to school fully prepared both intellectually and emotionally. I cannot praise them enough for everything they have done. I started to list a special thanks to certain people but then the list became too long because honestly, every member of staff is just amazing!
