Bright Horizons New Church Road Hove Day Nursery and Preschool provide childcare and education for children aged six months to five years of age in Hove. Open Monday to Friday, children are provided with fun, educational activities so they can learn through play every day.

Each child is considered unique and activities are individually tailored to enable them to express themselves and explore their individuality and personality, while closely following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The nursery provides care for all abilities and needs, offering staff extra training when necessary to support individual children.

Staff at Bright Horizons New Church Road Hove Day Nursery and Preschool have a range of experiences and qualifications to enable them to support the children’s best interests. Each child is assigned a Key Person who works closely with them to support their emotional and educational development during their time at the nursery. Parents are welcome to meet regularly with their child's Key Person to discuss their child's progress.

My son recently transferred to Brightsaurus Nursery. He settled really well there and was welcomed with open arms by them. He comes out every day telling me about the activities he has been doing and what he has eaten throughout the day from their delicious menu.
I really recommend Brightsaurus Nursery
to anyone looking for their child to be settled and have a great experience of nursery life.

Starting your child at nursery during a pandemic isn’t ideal, I was really anxious as my daughter had only been cared for by my husband and I due to the lockdown. All the staff at BrightSaurus Nursery were extremely friendly and reassuring. They provided detailed updates on her day as well as making
it clear I could call and check on her at any point. During a busy day I find it comforting to log in via the webcam to see her socialising, playing, or napping. She settled in straight away which is a testament to the caring, patient and fun Baby Room team. I am always pleasantly surprised by all the activities and effort the team put into making each day engaging and different. My daughter has a clear bond with whole baby team especially her key worker. Our key worker has a clear passion for child education and development, I know she is in very safe hands. BrightSaurus Nursery was recommended to me by a friend and I would confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a nursery.

BrightSaurus has been excellent throughout our experience. We have had 2 children attend the nursery in the baby room and also preschool. They support given is excellent, caring experience, supportive and excellent ethos.
I am very grateful for all the support and help. The care staff have provided
during both lockdowns. I would highly recommend it. Also, a plus point is there are video cameras in the rooms.

The nursery does a wonderful job of balancing learning and fun while instilling high standards of cleanliness/hygiene/manners and etiquette. There's a good balance between nurturing individual personalities and discipline. He constantly amazes us with what he knows and what he's learnt at nursery. The
nursery has excellent hours of opening to support working parents. The staff are what makes it special.

We chose BrightSaurus Nursery as our nursery before our son was born and we knew straight away it was the right environment for our family. The Sauras group came highly recommended to us and it didn't disappoint when we viewed the nursery.
Our son has been attending BrightSaurus for just over 6 months.
He hadn't been cared for by anyone else so we were unsure how he would settle in. However it didn't take him long at all which was definitely due to the warmth of the staff, the routine and the activities arranged each day. The large outside play area is a real asset.
We have been really pleased with how much he seems to enjoy his nursery days and how staff support his development. Each day he comes home with new words, skills and interests. Especially due to the pandemic we are really grateful that our son is able to socialise in a safe and nurturing environment. Whilst we don't often use the webcam it is a nice facility to have, even just logging in and seeing him asleep is very reassuring.

This is a fantastic nursery where all of the staff are super enthusiastic and friendly. They make real effort to make your child feel welcome and treated as an individual. We love it and more importantly so does our son!

Our daughter (18 months) has been attending the nursery for the past 6 months and she loves it. She settled in really quickly and is always happy when we drop her off and pick her up. As parents, we enjoy looking through the photos and daily updates so we know what she has been doing each day. The activities
are varied and educational and there is often artwork to collect at the end of the day.
The staff are friendly, caring and professional. We receive regular updates from the nursery management and have been reassured by the additional measures put in place due to the current situation. The nursery is clean, safe with good facilities and home-cooked food each day.
We cannot thank BrightSaurus Nursery enough and would highly recommend this excellent nursery.

I can’t recommend BrightSaurus highly enough - my daughter has attended the baby room for 2 days a week over the past 6 months and she absolutely loves it! We love the range of activities they do, and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. My daughter has formed a real bond with her key worker
which is lovely to see. The food is brilliant, offering 2 cooked meals a day plus snacks. It is also super clean and I really liked the no-shoe policy when we went for our tour. Could not be happier it, it’s a wonderful place for her to attend!

I can’t say enough how highly I rate BrightSaurus nursery!
From the moment we first visited, the staff have been so helpful, friendly and professional and the setting has so much to offer. My daughter (age 2) absolutely loves her nursery days and always goes in skipping and comes out laughing. She’s
come on with her speech so much since attending in the last few months.
The team have dealt with the pandemic with a sensible approach and the utmost empathy and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. I just wish I’d known about BrightSaurus sooner!

I think BrightSaurus is a brilliant nursery. My daughter has been there for a few years now and is now approaching school age. in her time there, she has enjoyed all that the nursery offers, and her key workers over the years have been brilliant. Management are responsive and very capable and experienced.
The facilities are great and my daughter has loved her time here. She has also learnt a lot and had great interaction and activities. BrightSaurus has been a massive positive part of our daughters early years. Well done to the manager and all the team.

My son has been in BrightSaurus for the last two years. It has been a wonderful journey to witness how much he has grown from a toddler to a confident boy. He has particularly enjoyed his social life at BrightSaurus.


BrightSaurus is a well-organised nursery with staff who are friendly and approachable.

The founder of the nursery is often onsite and manager or key workers are always available should there be any concern.


I feel they have put thoughts and attention in preparing my son for the next stage of education in primary school.


My son is now ready for primary school and I am grateful for the dedication of the staff from BrightSaurus.

BrightSaurus was the best choice we made for our daughter. I returned to work when she was 8.5 months and whilst the "mum guilt" was very much felt, I was put at ease with the care, professionalism and support my little one received and is still getting. The keys workers that have looked after my daughter
are excellent and I have never had an issue. They have supported our values and ensure that my daughter is kind, caring and social with all her friends. We feel that her learning skills have been greatly developed, more so than what we could have achieved at home.


This nursery has also been a great support to our family when my husband was undergoing a heart transplant and ensuring that my daughter's emotions were monitored and supported in this difficult time.


I know my daughter is missing all her friends and nursery during this lockdown and we will all be truly sad when she starts primary school. Keep up the good work all at BrightSaurus!

I began my journey in the early years sector at the age of 17, and since then, I've traversed through every role imaginable, from Nursery Assistant to Nursery Manager.


With over 8 years of experience in management, I've honed my skills and expertise to provide the best possible care for children.


Equipped with a Foundation Degree in Early Years Education and Childhood Studies, I am deeply passionate about maintaining a high standard of care throughout the setting. Creating a safe and secure environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential is at the core of my mission.


In my role as a Nursery Manager, I take great pride in supporting my colleagues on their professional journey. I believe in providing them with the necessary support, guidance, and training within the setting and through resources like Bright Horizons. She now proudly serves as Deputy Manager.


Rebecca is deeply passionate about creating a warm, caring environment where children can truly thrive. She remains focused on nurturing each child's development, supporting their individual needs, and fostering a strong sense of safety and belonging.
