Partou Lancaster Avenue Day Nursery & Pre-School

My daughter has been at Nelly's for two months now and she absolutely loves it there. She settled so quickly into life in the baby room and is very happy to attend each day. All the staff are so friendly and caring and I feel like they know my daughter well, she particularly loves her key person! The rooms are bright and spacious and the nursery provides a safe and stimulating environment. The quiet, enclosed garden is my daughter's favourite place to play. We're very happy with our decision to send her to Nelly's.

My personal experience has been amazing so far, from the location to the professionalism of all staff. When searching for a suitable nursery for my child I had concerns. We visited numerous nurseries in our local area and by far Nelly's was most suitable for us. We booked a tour and had the best experience we instantly signed up once we got home. The staff and management where very accommodating from the moment we enter the building. My child now attends this nursery and daily she comes home very happy. We receive daily updates via the portal which I must say I am extremely pleased with, as I am able to see the development of my child.

Our little girl joined Nelly’s at 9 months and stayed until she started school this month. She emerged as a confident, secure and very happy child with a love of learning. She developed great social skills at nursery and has left with a wonderful friendship circle. The staff are caring, supportive and have done a wonderful job of helping the children to share, collaborate and be mindful of others’ feelings. The long opening hours are very helpful for working parents, and the outdoor garden area (including the beloved pod which turns into Santa’s grotto at Xmas) is a real asset. The menus are healthy and varied. Our little girl was well supported through a challenging period of weaning and her food allergies were well looked after. As a service manager myself, I found the nursery’s approach to Covid management to be careful and accommodating and communications throughout (including about risk assessments and changes to protocol) were good. I would thoroughly recommend the nursery to you.

My child has grown up with Nelly's, is so excited each morning to attend, and come out beaming. Am sure that certain of her best traits (kind, caring, happy, personable, curious etc) have been amplified in their environment.

We are thrilled with the care that Nelly's Nursery have given to our daughter, from the first day we visited we felt so trusting of the manager and all the staff, and our daughter absolutely loves it. The outdoor space is brilliant and was a really important factor for us in selecting a nursery. All the staff have been really accommodating of our daughter's individual needs including managing her allergies, supporting her signing and her early potty training.

As the first nursery our son has attended, Nelly's have been the dream! They are like an extended family, always there to welcome him with a smile and cuddle. He has settled in so easily, and this has made our experience as parents so much better. The early learning development side of things is excellent, with his dedicated care worker liaising with me regularly to update and share his progress. It’s amazing to see how he is has grown as a little person over the past few months. The setting is fab - particularly the wonderful garden, with its separate exploring areas. I love seeing daily pictures of what they have been up to! I feel so happy with the nursery setting - it’s safety, security and promotion of a child’s well-being. The staff team is wonderful - and my son is genuinely excited to see them at the start of the day. I am so happy to choose Nelly's Lancaster - a home from home.

The nursery has great facilities. The indoor rooms are large with lots of light and the garden is spacious and has a mud kitchen to get messy in. The nursery management are brilliant, they are approachable and always available.

Nelly's Nursery has brought out the very best in my son. He has developed such confidence and social skills since he has been attending Nelly's. He clearly has an amazing bond with the staff and I feel so assured when I see his beaming smile when they open the door to him every morning. His learning, speech and all-round development have come on leaps and bounds and I'm so pleased I chose to send him to Nelly's Lancaster Avenue.

Nelly's offers fantastic care and a safe, fun and hurting environment. Both my children attend part-time and they love it there. I have been particularly impressed by the support provided to my daughter as she recently settled into the baby room. She adores her key worker, who seems very tuned in to her needs and interests. Were it not for the (very) high price per day, I would, without question, rate Nelly's as excellent in every category.

Nelly's has been a source of reassurance for us as a family. We have felt able to depend on the staff as our own child has developed. We initially chose Nelly's because of the facilities, nowhere else had such a wonderful outdoor space. But it has become an essential part of our son's growth and the challenges he has overcome with their guidance. It is a nurturing space, with a joy for learning through friendship and the natural environment.

My 16-month-old daughter has been attending Nelly's Nursery Lancaster Avenue for nearly 3 months and I can't recommend it enough. The facilities are wonderful and the staff have all been so warm and welcoming. After an initial settling in period, our daughter now happily walks into the nursery every morning, excited to go play with all the exciting activities they have set up for her (all of which are posted to the app every day so we can see what she is up to). I love the pictures we get to see of her enjoying her time and learning new activities (we also get updates on what she ate, when she slept and her nappy changes). She loves the garden and playing in the dirt kitchen and I can just see how much stimulation she is receiving there. Her confidence has grown immensely since joining the nursery. It's been so important to us, especially during Covid, that she builds relationships with other adults and children and so it's great to see her bonding with her key person and other staff.

I can't say enough good things about Nelly's at Lancaster Avenue. Right from the start and my child's settling in period, the staff have been so welcoming and friendly. They really took their time to get to know her and she settled quickly. I feel confident each day she is dropped off that she is in the safest hands and she seems to have a lot of fun. The menu is varied and nutritious and communication from the team is excellent.

Both of my children have attended the Nelly's nurseries since 2014 before it was sold and it went from being a family run nursery group to four nurseries within a larger nursery group. A lot of the original staff still work for Nelly's and the nurseries have managed to retain a lot of their character and ethos / focus of engaging the children imaginatively through play. My children bound into nursery every day and it’s a very happy place for them where they feel safe, happy and cared for. We’ve made some very close friends in the last 6 years and it’s a nurturing environment for the children as they develop. The weekly Whippersnappers sessions were a huge hit for our girls and we look forward to them resuming once it’s Covid safe to do so.

We love it here at Nelly's. My daughter has just started and she warmed to it immediately. I was supposed to do a week of settling in with her and I only did one day as she was fine on her own. The kids get a lot of autonomy which is fantastic and are able to play outside lots. I often go to pick her up and she's in the garden playing. She comes out shouting YES when I ask if she's had a good day. We are also really impressed with the communication and the staff, always friendly and helpful and no question is ever unanswered, they are very open with us which makes us feel they are very confident in how they operate. Always happy to explain why things are done in a certain way and if there are any tweaks happy to help. The food is nutritious and child friendly and she always comes home with a full belly. I feel like she has learnt so much in the short time she's been there and she bounds out a happy child, singing all the time and chatting away. Thank you guys!

We have sent both of our children to Nelly's Nursery Lancaster Avenue, and would not hesitate to recommend the nursery to others. The facilities are wonderful and the staff are fantastic, both the kids thoroughly enjoyed their time there. The longevity of service for a number of the key staff has always been comforting to me, highlighting they are happy at work and good at what they do.

My son loves going to Nelly's. He gets so much out of it. He has a great relationship with all the team. The venue is lovely with a great garden, and having a cook on-site means we know he's looked after. I wish I were 2 again.

Our son is new to Nelly's on Lancaster Avenue and after extensive research on where to send him, we are thrilled with our choice. Staff are so welcoming and so warm, our son settled so quickly and is clearly enjoying his time there. We have full confidence that he's in safe, good hands and are so grateful to all the staff for all they do. They have made Nelly's a home away from home.

Nelly's Nursery - Lancaster Avenue, in my opinion, is one of the best nurseries I have come across. The staff are very friendly and offer support when it's needed. My daughter loves coming to the nursery which is reassuring to me as I know she is being cared for in an excellent way. Will definitely be referring them to all my family and friends. My son started at Nelly's in November 2018 when he was 12 months. Being my third, I fully expected a long traumatic settling in period where he didn’t sleep or eat and I was constantly worrying - but amazingly this hasn't happened at all. He slept straight away and settled happily into their daily routine from the getgo. The staff are really attentive to what both he and I have wanted for him - following his routine and allowing flexibility to suit his needs. They care a lot about ensuring all children are happy. I am very pleased to be able to recommend this nursery to other parents.

Our daughter has been attending Nelly's since we moved to the area in May 2017; she settled in very quickly and thoroughly loves going every day. It is a safe and caring environment offering plenty of variety in learning opportunities - we all particularly love the wonderful garden! The staff are attentive, nurturing, energetic and great fun. From the outset, our daughter has built a close relationship with her key worker who communicates constantly on her achievements and challenges as well as discussing and agreeing best practices so we are aligned in messaging to help our daughter develop. The current management team is excellent, communicating on both our child's developments and those at the nursery, as well as helping us navigate our way through the next transition from nursery to primary school; invaluable, thank you! We have always felt entirely comfortable entrusting our daughter to Nelly's care and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery to future parents.
