We've been so pleased with the way three staff members in particular and the team have settled my child in over the past 3 weeks. One of these staff members makes so much effort to put us at ease, she is so welcoming at the start of the day, greets us with a big smile and my child has really taken to her. I really appreciate that she gives us a really in-depth report of his day, making me feel so reassured that he's being taken such great care of. Another one of these staff members has also been fantastic, he's always so friendly and always makes a point of taking my child and gets him to interact with the other children. The entire team have been so friendly, and it's a joy to drop him off in the mornings and pick him up. A big reason for choosing Partou Lancaster Avenue Day Nursery was for the garden, and we're so pleased with how much time my child has been spending outside. Oddly, I'm also pleased to see a bag of dirty clothes in his bag! I love that he's been given the freedom to explore and play. We've also really enjoyed the app updates. Thanks for such a great start!

Absolute beautiful setting, with plenty of space for children to play and enjoy daily activities. The staff are very polite, always smiling and engaging with children. My young child has been here for five months and enjoys it; he has settled in really, really well. (Sooner than I had imagined). Many thanks to all the staff.

Our little one has been so happy at Nelly’s Lancaster after finding settling in quite difficult. But the baby room staff look after him so well, and he has formed a close attachment with all the adults. He feels really at home and has gained confidence. We’re assured that he is really well looked after by caring and kind people whom we have come to think of as friends. The outdoor space is wonderful, and the nursery is generally well-equipped. I would like to see the nursery modernise some of the communication with parents in terms of more regular notices and a better app for sending photos and daily diaries.

My daughter has been in Nelly's Nursery full-time for approximately eight months. She loves it there, and there's even been a couple of evenings where she's been having such a good time that she's reluctant to come home! The staff in the baby room, in particular, are generally fantastic, getting excited about her achievements and always kind and thoughtful. There is also a really nice atmosphere in the nursery as a whole, with everyone being lovely and welcoming as soon as you arrive. I also really appreciate the efforts that are put into building a community with parents, with the recent Mother's Day breakfast and Christmas party. My only mini-request would be to have more photos and updates on the parent app during the week as we love receiving these. Thanks to all.

My compliments to the staff, they are amazing. As a first-time parent, I am more than comfortable and content to leave my child in an environment that has that home away from home feel. They catered to me and my child's needs during the settling-in period and accommodated any changes without hesitation. Thank you all for your hard work and caring hearts.

My daughter has been attending Nelly's Nursery for almost a year now. She is very happy going in every morning and even on days that she is off, it feels like her second home. The staff and managers are nurturing and supportive and they provide her with so much attention and positivity. I have been giving great feedback on eating habits and communication. I will highly recommend Nelly's Lancaster to anyone looking for a nursery.

Our son loves Nelly’s and runs in eagerly every morning to see his friends and carers. The staff are fantastic, there is a very good longevity of key carers and so care feels consistent and dependable. The children are occupied with a variety of activities and are outside as much as possible when the weather permits. We also like that the objects they play with are natural and everyday items and there’s lots of reading. There are lots of photos and good communication. Lastly, we are so grateful for the hours that Nelly’s operates - we rarely use the extra 30 mins either end of the day than other nurseries (nelly’s is 7.30-6.30) but it is very useful to have and makes those more stressful work days less so! My only criticism would be maybe a few more outings outside of the nursery but they do music classes, etc. in-house so all in all lots are offered.

Warm and friendly atmosphere, it’s very much a big Nellys family! Our toddler loves the garden and looking forward to our daughter starting in the baby room soon. In particular, we have liked and been impressed by: - quality (and retention) of staff! - range of activities (including some extras like French) - the way different themes or world festivals are celebrated Very much feels like it’s an extension of home and our toddler is always excited to go and to see his friends each day.

The environment at Nelly's Nursery is that of a second home, my child grins when we reach the doors and is sad to leave at the end of the day. There is every and any activity to do, especially in the excellent outdoor space. We sent our eldest to Nelly's too and they flew through potty training and the early stages of identifying letters and writing with the support of the wonderful staff. We have two curious, happy and independent children - and the wonderful Nelly's staff have been a major part of that.

A safe, enjoyable, and caring environment with high standards are priorities for the new management. Amazing staff members who have a caring attitude and a lot of heart. Our daughter's excitement about attending this Nursery is tremendous. Our daughter's key person truly works hard to keep us informed about our daughter's daily progress and nursery activities.

I couldn’t be happier with Nelly’s Nursery. All the staff are friendly, kind and caring. My daughter settled in so well and thoroughly enjoys going, she seems to have lots of fun! I would highly recommend Nelly’s Lancaster Avenue to anyone considering it.

Current nursery management are amazing as are the brilliant staff that care for the children day to day, there is a true sense that all of the staff truly care for the wellbeing and development of the children. In addition to the amazing staff, the activities that the children are able to partake in and the large outside space creates a brilliant environment for children to thrive in.

Nelly's Nursery - Lancaster Avenue is an incredible nursery. The building and the outside space is beautiful. I can't imagine a nursery with a better garden, with so much space, a mud kitchen, slide, summer house and huge sandpit. However it is not the excellent building and the facilities but the staff that make Nelly's so magical. Somehow they make looking after all the children look so easy and the environment just feels warm and calming. The activities offered look so much fun. I have 22 month old twin boys and I can see just how much they love the freedom to play and explore but also how safe and secure they feel in the environment at Nelly's. There's dress up, baking, messy play and so much more. I feel confident when I leave for work, that my boys are in the absolute best care and the peace of mind that provides me with is so valuable. I would recommend them fully to any prospective parent looking at nurseries in the area.

My daughter has been at Nelly's for two months now and she absolutely loves it there. She settled so quickly into life in the baby room and is very happy to attend each day. All the staff are so friendly and caring and I feel like they know my daughter well, she particularly loves her key person! The rooms are bright and spacious and the nursery provides a safe and stimulating environment. The quiet, enclosed garden is my daughter's favourite place to play. We're very happy with our decision to send her to Nelly's.

My personal experience has been amazing so far, from the location to the professionalism of all staff. When searching for a suitable nursery for my child I had concerns. We visited numerous nurseries in our local area and by far Nelly's was most suitable for us. We booked a tour and had the best experience we instantly signed up once we got home. The staff and management where very accommodating from the moment we enter the building. My child now attends this nursery and daily she comes home very happy. We receive daily updates via the portal which I must say I am extremely pleased with, as I am able to see the development of my child.

Our little girl joined Nelly’s at 9 months and stayed until she started school this month. She emerged as a confident, secure and very happy child with a love of learning. She developed great social skills at nursery and has left with a wonderful friendship circle. The staff are caring, supportive and have done a wonderful job of helping the children to share, collaborate and be mindful of others’ feelings. The long opening hours are very helpful for working parents, and the outdoor garden area (including the beloved pod which turns into Santa’s grotto at Xmas) is a real asset. The menus are healthy and varied. Our little girl was well supported through a challenging period of weaning and her food allergies were well looked after. As a service manager myself, I found the nursery’s approach to Covid management to be careful and accommodating and communications throughout (including about risk assessments and changes to protocol) were good. I would thoroughly recommend the nursery to you.

Couldn’t recommend the nursery highly enough. My child has attended since 5 and a half months (now almost 3 years). Great key worker (and buddy) system for your child. All of the carers are incredibly warm. Lots of hugs and cuddles. They really got to know my child at all stages of her development (likes/dislikes/her personality). Not just ‘basic care’. The kids are just ‘happy’ and a real community vibe. My child considers the carers to be her friends too. They put a lot of thought into their activities and the ‘learn by play’ model. The garden is such an incredible resource too! Very organised. Always respond to emails within the day. No ask is too big/small. Excellent with information and precautions during Covid. My child has grown up with Nelly's, is so excited each morning to attend, and come out beaming. Am sure that certain of her best traits (kind, caring, happy, personable, curious etc) have been amplified in their environment.

We are thrilled with the care that Nelly's Nursery have given to our daughter, from the first day we visited we felt so trusting of the manager and all the staff, and our daughter absolutely loves it. The outdoor space is brilliant and was a really important factor for us in selecting a nursery. All the staff have been really accommodating of our daughter's individual needs including managing her allergies, supporting her signing and her early potty training.

As the first nursery our son has attended, Nelly's have been the dream! They are like an extended family, always there to welcome him with a smile and cuddle. He has settled in so easily, and this has made our experience as parents so much better. The early learning development side of things is excellent, with his dedicated care worker liaising with me regularly to update and share his progress. It’s amazing to see how he is has grown as a little person over the past few months. The setting is fab - particularly the wonderful garden, with its separate exploring areas. I love seeing daily pictures of what they have been up to! I feel so happy with the nursery setting - it’s safety, security and promotion of a child’s well-being. The staff team is wonderful - and my son is genuinely excited to see them at the start of the day. I am so happy to choose Nelly's Lancaster - a home from home.

Our son started nursery earlier in the year, shortly before lockdown. He has since been going to the nursery part time for the last 2 months. In the beginning there were tears at drop off. However, the staff were always so friendly and caring and it was not long before he stopped crying and was enjoying an activity. Now he happily goes to nursery with a smile on his face. He even seems excited to say goodbye at drop off! The staff are all lovely and make a huge effort - especially my son's key worker with whom he has a special bond. The nursery has great facilities. The indoor rooms are large with lots of light and the garden is spacious and has a mud kitchen to get messy in. The nursery management are brilliant, they are approachable and always available.
