Busy Bees at Plymouth has a fantastic range of age-appropriate indoor and outdoor areas, including sensory space and an attached woodland giving the opportunity for Forest school. Forest school allows the nursery team to support learning experiences that children find to be magical, as well as encouraging independent thinking and good communication skills.

Staff are wonderful and so engaging with the children. My son always comes home happy and has really advanced in certain areas in readiness for school. The admin team are lovely and helpful. Very flexible with hours. Would recommend for anyone looking for a nursery.

I cannot rate this nursery highly enough, as a single parent I consider the staff to be like family to my son, they are so invested in his development and go above and beyond daily for him. They have been a huge support to me through his developmental milestones and the challenges that come with that.
The managers have tackled difficult conversations with utmost professionalism and are approachable and kind individuals.
The facilities that the nursery provides are second to none, my son is outside as much as possible. The meals are varied and nutritious and my son is now eating independently. Needless to say, the chef is a firm favourite with my boy!
The nursery workers keep me updated with all aspects of my son's care, they use their initiative in implementing new strategies, pushing him to develop new skills. I trust them completely, so a huge shout out to all other room staff members. You are so appreciated!

Outstanding nursery, my son loves coming and enjoys every moment. The staff are super friendly and amazing support for the children and even for the parents. Couldn’t recommend the nursery enough. The only thing I would like different is if we could go into the nursery and see children interact when

My child started at Busy Bees Nursery on 5th May, I am very impressed with what I have seen so far. All of the staff have a great passion for what they do. My child loves coming to nursery and has a great bond with the staff here already.

Food provided is healthy, has variety and is prepared on-site.

My baby girl started at 9 months old and she settled in beautifully. The staff are very supportive and kind and provide regular updates on her development and progress. Having their own kitchen and cooking food on site is a great advantage and the menu is diverse. My eldest daughter also attended the

Both my children love coming to this nursery, they are really happy getting dropped off each day and have a great relationship with all staff. The staff are lovely and have worked really hard to improve and maintain the nursery’s professional standards. I enjoy getting regular updates on the app which
shows what my children have been doing including regular reviews of their development. There are always a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities which helps them to learn in different ways.

My son started going to nursery at the beginning of2021. Since then, he enjoys all the activities, and he has great connections with all the staff. With recent changes to the nursery, I couldn't be more happy. All my concerns are addressed immediately, and my son has a lot of support with his speech
delay to the point that they care about him learning both languages, which we use at home.

My child is extremely happy at this nursery. They are very active and enjoy the outdoor activities especially when exploring the wooded area. The rooms are well laid out and there are plenty of different activities each day. The staff are very welcoming and positive. If I need to speak to the nursery,
they are willing to make time to see me when I pick up my child. I always get feedback on how/what my child has done during the day and I'm impressed by the staff and thier attitude to parents and children.

My son loves being at Busy Bees. He attends nursery full time and has done since he was 10 months old. We had a couple of settling in sessions and had a lot of confidence in the staff before he started full time.
The staff work hard to promote his interests, encouraging his love of books and anything
with wheels. The gardens and outside spaces are an excellent size and have lovely, high-quality toys and activities. The children spend lots of time outside in anything other than really wet weather. My son often brings home pictures made with a variety of materials - frozen paint was a winner in the summer and we love the Halloween spider made with handprints!
All the staff know him by name and always have lovely things to say about what he has been doing during the day. The staff always communicate well with us ensuring that we know what is going on during the day and we are told about any bump or nock. We are extremely happy with Busy Bees and can't recommend it highly enough.

We could not be happier with Busy Bees. Our daughter seems to be thriving there. She gets so excited every morning when we tell her she’s going to nursery. She puts her arms out to the staff when we arrive in the morning and always comes home beaming. The staff are all fantastic, our daughter is happy
there and we feel 100% trust in the nursery’s ability to care for our daughter. Highly recommend.

If you know what’s best for your child, avoid this nursery! The only positive thing about it is the big garden, otherwise, everything else is poor. I was extremely unhappy with my son’s care and very glad I moved him from here.

After a horrendous experience at another nursery, I visited Busy Bees and was very pleased. The staff and the setting were really lovely and they made me and my daughter so welcome. My daughter started here this week and she loves it. The staff always greet us with a smile and they all are friendly.
I would recommend this place after just a week.
They have restored my faith in childcare.

I love the atmosphere in the nursery. There are many activities but it is not overwhelming for the children or too busy. We were invited to free settle in sessions until we were sure that my boy was settled and relaxed. There are always plenty of staff and a great menu for the children. I absolutely
love the outdoor space and Forrest school! Our main reason for choosing this nursery was for its outdoor space and the lovely way the children get to choose to play outside most anytime.

The staff have been outstanding and very welcoming making my sons first experience of daycare a happy place to be.
He is learning all kinds of new arts and crafts, songs and rhymes.
He is making new friends along the way.
He particularly loves the outdoor time running and playing with bikes.

My daughter started at Busy Bees nursery in November 2018 and absolutely loves it there. I was really apprehensive about my daughter starting at any nursery but chose Busy Bees after reading reviews and visiting the setting with my daughter.
My daughter has had a difficult start and I really wanted
a nursery who would understand this and provide her with the extra time and care that she needed. This has been given to her and she has absolutely flourished in a short space of time.
The rooms are set up appropriately and everything is clean and tidy. The outdoor provision is excellent and is used in all weathers which my daughter loves. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and I highly recommend this nursery.

Quite simply, Busy Bees has nurtured our son better than we could have hoped for. His social skills, speech and cognitive development have all skyrocketed during his time at Busy Bees. Job Title: Centre Director

Hello and welcome to Busy Bees Plymouth, my name is Lynsey Carroll and I am the centre director. I have worked in Early Years for over eleven years and within that time I have achieved my Level 5 in leadership and management in Early Years. I have worked across different settings in managerial and senior leadership positions. I enjoy the hands-on approach of being a manager and role modelling practice to my staff team. 


I look forward to welcoming you to our fantastic childcare setting in Plymouth.
