Busy Bees at Plymouth has a fantastic range of age-appropriate indoor and outdoor areas, including sensory space and an attached woodland giving the opportunity for Forest school. Forest school allows the nursery team to support learning experiences that children find to be magical, as well as encouraging independent thinking and good communication skills.

I love the atmosphere in the nursery. There are many activities but it is not overwhelming for the children or too busy. We were invited to free settle in sessions until we were sure that my boy was settled and relaxed. There are always plenty of staff and a great menu for the children. I absolutely
love the outdoor space and Forrest school! Our main reason for choosing this nursery was for its outdoor space and the lovely way the children get to choose to play outside most anytime.

The staff have been outstanding and very welcoming making my sons first experience of daycare a happy place to be.
He is learning all kinds of new arts and crafts, songs and rhymes.
He is making new friends along the way.
He particularly loves the outdoor time running and playing with bikes.
Couldn’t
recommend it more.
I am always Happy leaving him in their excellent care.

My daughter started at Busy Bees nursery in November 2018 and absolutely loves it there. I was really apprehensive about my daughter starting at any nursery but chose Busy Bees after reading reviews and visiting the setting with my daughter.
My daughter has had a difficult start and I really wanted
a nursery who would understand this and provide her with the extra time and care that she needed. This has been given to her and she has absolutely flourished in a short space of time.
The rooms are set up appropriately and everything is clean and tidy. The outdoor provision is excellent and is used in all weathers which my daughter loves. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and I highly recommend this nursery.

Quite simply, Busy Bees has nurtured our son better than we could have hoped for. His social skills, speech and cognitive development have all skyrocketed during his time at Busy Bees. Absolutely could not recommend this nursery enough, my little boy has been there for nearly a year and absolutely loves it. Brilliant space both indoors and outdoors.
Varied and healthy menu (talented onsite chefs) and he gets to try lots of foods he wouldn’t normally have at home.
The staff are
all fantastic and the location is very safe and secure. I really love how parents/families are invited to Christmas fetes/Father's Day breakfast etc really helps us to feel included and lovely to see the children feeling comfortable in this environment.

Busy Bees has been fantastic for our little girl for the last few years. She has grown in confidence and genuinely loves going to Nursery. This is a fantastic nursery. My daughter of ten months started here and I was worried she was too young but the staff have welcomed her like a family member and keep me well informed of her progress.
Her key worker is great and got to know her really well. I feel very confident leaving her in their
care. The activities are brilliant and my daughter has come on so much in the last 2 months.
Highly recommend this nursery to anyone! The nursery is safe and well staffed and the food is great! Thank you.

We were very apprehensive about our daughter starting full-time nursery at such a young age (9 months); however because of the warmth, care and support of the staff at Busy Bees (for both our daughter and us as parents) the process was made so much easier.
Our daughter thoroughly enjoys her time at
nursery, has grown hugely in confidence since starting and is clearly stimulated on a daily basis with a good mix of in and outdoor play. We feel very confident in the care being provided and would not hesitate to recommend Busy Bees in Plymouth.

Busy Bees Plymouth is a simply superb nursery. Had two children there and they loved the purpose built building and staff. The team are completely dedicated, utterly professional and awe-inspiring in their effort and energy.
From a parents position, I have not come across another nursery with such
efficient administration.

My daughter has been attending Busy Bees Plymouth since she was 7 months old and I can honestly say that it has been best decision I could have made. I think this nursery is fantastic. My son has recently been diagnosed with Autism (non verbal) and Global Developmental Delay, as well as having sensory needs. The nursery has supported us through the diagnosis process and now through the process of arranging for him to attend a special needs school
in September.


They arranged more help from the council for us and also organised a 1-1 carer for him. They have worked tirelessly to help my son improve his development and to get the most out of his nursery experience as possible.


My son loves going to this nursery and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants a happy, fun, safe and fulfilling environment for their child.

What a wonderful, caring and friendly nursery. Excellent staff who really "know" the children they are looking after. Lots of creative play and fun activities (indoors and out). Varied and enjoyable food. They are also supporting the local community through fundraising activities. My grandson loves

An excellent nursery with superb staff who understand children very well. Every time I go in it is calm and my son loves going.
Very good outdoor space and brilliant teaching that is specific to your child.
My son has medical problems and was behind in his speech and language and he is now talking
more than his peers!

The nursery and the services provided are excellent. Opening times are great as this has allowed me to get to work on-time. My children are always happy and excited to attend, they have never cried upon arrival. The resources used are great. My children always bring home the work they've done, i.e.
painting, drawing, colouring, etc. The staff are always welcoming and always give you feedback on your child for the day. I absolutely recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been going to Busy Bees since she turned 1 and I have complete faith in the team. I have never struggled to get her to go to nursery and she is always happy when I collect her at the end of the day.


Her keyworker in both the baby room and toddlers room have been and are amazing.

They are always happy to talk to me about how my daughter is getting on and will listen to any concerns I have or ways in which I want them to do anything, for example; potty training, they took on board what we were doing at home and replicated this at nursery.

The nursery building is clean, inviting and has brilliant outdoor all-weather space for children. The staff are helpful, friendly and caring.


I have been using the nursery for the last 4 years, taking both my children to the nursery since they were little, one has now left and gone to school and

she still talks about her Busy Bees days and all the nice things she did while there; her nursery graduation, pretend school days and teddy bear picnics to name just a few!


The team go above and beyond and to know my children are happy while I am at work which makes my work day a whole lot more bearable!!

My son started at this lovely nursery back in August. Our first impression was how caring the staff are. It took our son a good couple of weeks to get settled in but every morning he was greeted with such kindness and lots of cuddles which made his journey so much easier. We can't thank enough to all
the lovely ladies in the toddler room, they do a wonderful job looking after all the little ones with so much love and patience.


I feel reassured that my son is in the best capable hands and I would strongly recommend this nursery to any first time mum who has that fear of leaving their child in someone else's hands.

Our son has settled well at Busy Bees over the last year. He is engaged in a wide range of learning activities which he thoroughly enjoys. The children are outdoors often and he loves exploring in the garden. There is a good emphasis on encouraging independence with self-feeding etc.

Job Title: Centre Director

Hello and welcome to Busy Bees Plymouth, my name is Lynsey Carroll and I am the centre director. I have worked in Early Years for over eleven years and within that time I have achieved my Level 5 in leadership and management in Early Years. I have worked across different settings in managerial and senior leadership positions. I enjoy the hands-on approach of being a manager and role modelling practice to my staff team. 


I look forward to welcoming you to our fantastic childcare setting in Plymouth.
