Great outdoor and indoor facilities, kids love the garden and are able to move freely.
Clean and safe.
An excellent nursery where our child is extremely happy and content. All staff clearly enjoy their work and this happiness rubs off on the children. Would recommend this nursery to all friends and family.
We have been very pleased with this Bright Horizons Nursery. The staff go the extra mile in terms of care and effort to involve the parents too. It seems a really good combination of the benefits of being part of a bigger company but individual/local personality and effort.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I feel my child is very well looked after and, since starting the nursery, I feel he learns new skills much faster. I really appreciate and value the work staff put into looking after my baby and I have already recommended the nursery to my friend whose child will be starting at the nursery very soon.
New management are really friendly and positive and whenever I have a query, it is dealt with straight away. I have also referred the nursery to family members and friends.
This is a fantastic nursery designed in the way a nursery should be, with children in mind.
The staff are extremely nice and caring and the senior manager is a very experienced and a very professional head.
I would recommend any parent to send their child there.
The staff team are all very professional and worked very hard with my brother, they supported us both emotionally and with him. He improved very much and we can't explain the level of care we received and we are sad that he's going to school, they all love their job as well as the children. A big and special thanks to the manager for supporting us with everything we needed. You have the most caring and special manager.
We couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery.
Our daughter has really developed her social skills since being at the nursery and now loves playing with other children.
We are very happy with my daughter's progress, she is a very happy, content toddler and the nursery is encouraging her development well. We like the range of activities the nursery puts on, my daughter really enjoys them.
My child seems to have settled in well and has learnt from the other children i.e. more confident in walking etc. She appears to be very relaxed with her carers and enjoys the sessions each week. We are pleased there are arts and crafts, painting, activities (messy play). The more the better! Thank you very much - so far so good!
The nursery is a lovely setting with great facilities. There are lots of space for energetic children. The staff are all very engaged with our child's progress and have been hugely supportive with extra help he needs.
I am delighted to have my son attend Barnes Bright Horizons. He is a super happy child and loves being at nursery. I have noticed an increase in his social awareness and his speech is coming on very well along with his confidence. I am pleased that my son has such a balanced and fun format to his days with interesting learning and interactive play. He seems to know a lot about health and safety and always shouts "fine fine" and "hot" at anything potentially hazardous. Would highly recommend this nursery, the staff are fantastic.
We are extremely happy with Bright Horizons. It is a fantastic nursery, providing a welcoming environment for the children with a good variety of interests for the children, both indoor and outdoor. It is particularly good to have the outdoor space! Our daughter loves spending her days here and gets so much out of it - we really noticed her development. Thank you.
Being a relatively new nursery, my son, who has been attending since January, enjoys the diverse range of toys and activities offered. However, I was a little concerned by some staff changes early on, as well as inconsistencies regarding certain activities such as sports, provided by external companies. Many of these concerns have now been addressed and I have definitely noticed that my son is benefitting from the continuity. I would like to see more use of some of the amenities available, such as the kitchen and library, and an increased focus on how best to continue certain development objectives at home.
My small grandson (age 3) attends this preschool full time. During this time he has made good progress on all fronts. He is clearly stimulated but has the freedom to develop naturally. The staff are kind, caring, firm and professional. There is an emphasis on the individual and staff work closely with other carers who are updated via daily written reports. I write as I am delighted that my grandson is very happy here but I am a very experienced educational practitioner too. This nursery is well worth considering.
My son joined the nursery shortly after his baby sister was born. He struggled to settle but the focus and energy the staff put into ensuring he felt welcome and secure, soon enabled him to settle. They took time to understand and get to know my son and responded to him accordingly. He has enjoyed a variety of activities and learnt how to be more responsive and respectful to others. He is now moving to a pre-school but will miss the carers here due to the strong bond he has formed. Thank you.
My experience was excellent and very informative. It is good to see my child progressing with the help of the staff and friends. All of the staff are extremely friendly. All of the staff I met were very helpful and pleasant.
We are very pleased with the Bright Horizons environment. We feel it is an environment that enables our daughter to build up confidence and discover new experiences. We are very happy with all aspects of her care.
Very professionally run. Helpful staff. Keep very helpful records of learning. Our son has settled in very well.

Marie has been part of Bright Horizons for 14+ years and loves her position as Nursery Manager at Bright Horizons Barnes Day Nursery and Preschool.
She holds a CACHE Level 3 Diploma Certificate for the Children and Young People’s Workforce and began her childcare journey as a Nursery Assistant. Over the years, she has progressed through several key roles, including Nursery Nurse, Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Manager, and now Nursery Manager.
This progression has provided Marie with a wealth of knowledge and experience, enabling her to effectively support her team in delivering inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children.
She is committed to maintaining a stimulating, nurturing environment where every child has the best possible start in their educational journey.
Daniella has been at Barnes Bright Horizons since September 2023, bringing over 13 years of experience in childcare. She began her career as an apprentice and later qualified as a Level 3 practitioner. After spending four years at a nursery, she progressed into a management role within a larger company in Lincoln, where she gained over four years of valuable leadership experience.
With a strong background in supporting children with SEND, Daniella is deeply passionate about child development. In her current role at Bright Horizons, she also serves as the SENCO lead, contributing to both the care of children and the professional growth of the staff team.
She looks forward to continuing her journey at Bright Horizons and making a positive impact within the setting.
Aoife has held a longstanding passion for early years education, which was further deepened during her BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Education. Her experience as a Playworker for children with SEND allowed her to apply academic research in real-world settings, inspiring her to pursue an MA in Inclusive Education: SEND and Disability.
While studying, Aoife gained hands-on experience working across various nursery settings, where she supported children's growth and development. Witnessing developmental milestones became a particular area of interest, ultimately leading her to the role of Toddler Room Leader at Barnes Day Nursery.
Building on this foundation, Aoife progressed to the position of Third in Charge, where she provides support across both the Baby and Toddler rooms. Her journey reflects a deepening understanding of early childhood development and a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment for all children in her care.
