Bright Horizons Winchester is a spacious nursery in a charming character building on Wales Street, Winchester. The team provides care for children aged 3 months to 5-years-old.

All the children will love the four inclusive, age-appropriate rooms offering a safe and stimulating environment for the children to explore and learn. With a dedicated team, that are warming, nurturing, and attentive individuals who prioritise the well-being and development of every child. The curriculum is thoughtfully structured to encourage curiosity, to support children thrive, grow and develop essential skills, all while feeling loved and supported. Communication with the staff and management is seamless and transparent, with the parents regularly updated by their child’s key worker and with photos and updates shared by the nursery on their family app, giving parents a glimpse of their child's daily activities.

The nursery has onsite parking and a buggy park, allowing for a stress-free drop-off and pickup. With easy access from Junction 9 of the M3, the nursery is perfectly located for commuting parents and is less than a ten-minute walk from Winchester train station.

The nursery received an 'Outstanding' score from Ofsted in June 2022.

My daughter started a few months ago and wasn't even 2 years yet, so we were very anxious.
The staff were amazing, friendly and really helped her settle in. They update the app to let us know what my daughter is up to. Couldn't recommend them more, 10/10.

My daughter spent a month in Bright Horizons Winchester as part of our relocation from Dubai and whilst we were in temporary accommodation in the city.
The team could not have been more welcoming, warm, communicative, supportive and flexible during this period.
She settled well and enjoyed the activities,
food, meeting friends etc.
A big thank you for finding us a space for this period.

Our daughter loves to go to Bright Horizons in Winchester. She giggles when we get through the door, which shows how happy she is to go there. They do spend a lot of time outdoors in the garden, do a lot of activities, water play, sand play, painting etc. She is well looked after and eats well at the
nursery as well. She learns at the nursery, surprises us with new skills we didn’t teach her. The location is very practical as it is walking distance in town. We can tell how much the staff love the children and take care of them like their own. Appreciate it a lot.

My little girl is just leaving this nursery to go to school. She’s been here for three years. I can honestly say that I have not had any concerns or worries the entire time she was looked after by the team. The team - and most especially present management - are fantastic.
We moved from Edinburgh
and I thought our older one’s nursery there was great, but our little girl has clearly learned more and I appreciate that they have prepared her for transition to school.

After a challenging start for all due to Covid, the nursery has put some successful measures in place to protect but also to enhance the children's experience. We are thankful for the communication and support and our sin is enjoying his time there, The change of management has been a seamless transition
and our faith and support of the nursery and its carers has never wavered. We are also thankful for the Tapestry. The "day of" pictures are great!

Our son is very happy and settled at this nursery. He does a wide variety of stimulating activities and he always has a lot of fun. He has great relationships with the staff and he is always happy to go in. He is in a great routine there and naps and eats really well. We're really happy with Bright

My daughter has been attending the nursery for about 18months now, and she has loved it from day one. She settled in really fast as the staff were excellent at making her at ease in her new surroundings. The nursery provides lots of interesting activities for the children which in turn has led to my
daughter's language to really develop. From the moment you walk in it is clear to see it is a very clean and happy environment for the little ones. The staff are all very kind and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend the nursery.

Our daughter has just finished at Yellow Dot having started in April 2017. We found the staff to be so welcoming and friendly. They helped her to settle in and be happy when changing rooms. They spend lots of time outside and do lots of fun activities. The staff have a lot of time for parents. All emails
and calls are answered quickly and professionally. We have noticed that there haven't really been any family activities/evenings since the Bright Horizons take over and we really miss these (pre covid ovbiously). The children don't go out of the nursery so much anymore which is a real shame (again pre-covid post takeover). The outside space is small and the children really liked going to town.

Yellow Dot has looked after my daughter for the last four years, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. The staff have always been warm and friendly and ensured she settled in easily to each room. They have done a brilliant job of handling the tricky COVID situation this year has thrown at us!

The staff at Yellow Dot Winchester always go the extra mile for the children and families in their care. Tonights Christmas Party was no exception offering crafts, face painting, food and even Father Christmas at no additional cost. Both of my children had a fantastic time and the staff worked really
hard to created lovely memories for them. I cannot praise them enough.

I am extremely happy with Winchester Nursery.
The manager and her team have made us feel very welcome. Our son is developing his speaking of English. He is far more confident and just loves going to see his friends in transition room.

Excellent caring nursery staff, always able to make time to discuss things. Wonderful range of activities for the children. "Tapestry" website notifications very easy to use and quick. No complaints except that the electronic fingerprint access to front gate does not work.

I started with Bright Horizons in January 2021. I hold a B.A Honors Degree in Early Childhood Studies (Level 6) and Level 3 Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCo).


These qualifications have supported my interests in children's development and teaching. Additionally, the importance of a strong parent partnership.

I have been working in a nursery setting for 8 years. I started as a holiday cover whilst at college completing my Level 3 qualification. I have worked with lots of wonderful practitioners and children who have helped me develop my practice along the way and become the Deputy Manager. I am very fortunate to be working in a nursery setting, as I love nothing more than providing opportunities and watching children develop.
