Bright Horizons Winchester is a spacious nursery in a charming character building on Wales Street, Winchester. The team provides care for children aged 3 months to 5-years-old.

All the children will love the four inclusive, age-appropriate rooms offering a safe and stimulating environment for the children to explore and learn. With a dedicated team, that are warming, nurturing, and attentive individuals who prioritise the well-being and development of every child. The curriculum is thoughtfully structured to encourage curiosity, to support children thrive, grow and develop essential skills, all while feeling loved and supported. Communication with the staff and management is seamless and transparent, with the parents regularly updated by their child’s key worker and with photos and updates shared by the nursery on their family app, giving parents a glimpse of their child's daily activities.

The nursery has onsite parking and a buggy park, allowing for a stress-free drop-off and pickup. With easy access from Junction 9 of the M3, the nursery is perfectly located for commuting parents and is less than a ten-minute walk from Winchester train station.

The nursery received an 'Outstanding' score from Ofsted in June 2022.

Our children have a really good time together with learning new skills like how to eat in their own. All staff is really good and friendly. We are attending for almost two years now since they were 7 months.

Since my first look around I've been really impressed with the setting and the team within it. Communication about my child has been regular and detailed giving me plenty of opportunity to understand how he is getting on developmentally. The team are professional, friendly and supportive.

Staff have always been amazing with my son. He comes out with a smile on his face and lots of things to tell me that he has done. Had a parent's evening last night and was lovely to hear comments about how he is doing, making goals with me to make sure he is getting the best out of Bright Horizons.

We have nothing but praise for Bright Horizons, Winchester and its wonderful staff. It is clear that the staff care deeply for the children in their care and are invested in helping encourage loving, curious and resilient individuals to learn and grow. We especially enjoy the cooking activities from

When the team received their outstanding Ofsted rating, we weren't at all surprised. This is a great nursery. Our son attended for nearly four years before starting school and our daughter has now been attending for nearly two years. We couldn't be happier with the standard of care, warmth and commitment,

Bright Horizons, Winchester, since visiting last year, got our heart, we loved it straightway, environment, space and staff. Very welcoming, caring and friendly, always thinking of our children. My baby daughter started with visits in September and then twice a week over October and November, but unfortunately
due to higher prices need to decrease to once a week; we will carry making the effort to have our girl there. From the third in charge to three other staff members in particular and other staff, they are all lovely, we trust them without any concerns.

The nursery manager and all the staff are so friendly and have really helped my daughter settle into nursery. Nothing is too much trouble and they always make us feel so welcome. They have great activities set up every day and provide experiences for the children to learn skills and independence. My
daughter often comes home singing or doing something new. They are offered great, freshly cooked meals and snacks, which my daughter always enjoys!

My son who just turned one year old, is attending Bright Horizons, Winchester Nursery, for over two months now and has settled very well, thanks to the staff's good care and support. He's excited and smiling as soon as he recognises the building!
The location is great for us and the facilities are
ideal, with an outdoor space just for babies outside their room, with a mud kitchen, then inside a little gym, soft play and everything you'd want for your little one to explore, discover and play. My daughter who is now 5 years old, also attended the nursery and absolutely loved it. There is also a lovely garden/play area where they can play and grow flowers etc. The staff are absolutely awesome, keeping us informed about our son's development and interests, adapting to his patterns. You can tell they love what they do and the children can feel it. Highly recommend, 10/10!

My child has been attending Bright Horizons, Winchester, for about two months now and I could not be happier. The staff in the baby room, where my child is, are all utterly fantastic and clearly care about and have close bonds with each and every one of the children there. They organise fun activities
each day for the babies, including soft play, messy play, stories and singing. I love the fact that each room has its own designated free-flow access to a private garden area. The nursery has an on-site chef and meals on a three-week rotation, which means that children receive a varied diet and takes some of the pressure off parents at home - my child eats far better than I do! They also cater to allergies and have strict protocols in place to ensure minimal risk of a slip-up (cups have each child's picture on them, place cards are put before each child at mealtimes with any dietary requirements, so staff are reminded). Could not recommend this place enough.

My daughter has been attending Bright Horizons, Winchester, for about six months now and we are so happy. She has settled in perfectly (great support from the team when she first started, as she hadn't been away from me before), and she loves the team that looks after her. Over this time, we have seen
her development, skills and knowledge expand greatly. She loves being outside and water play, both of which they do regularly. She also eats like a trooper; the weekly menu is fantastic.
The team in the baby room have been amazing and our little girl is now being given the opportunity to spend time in the toddlers' room before her move up there in the new year. The manager and the management team have been so incredibly helpful and supportive over the last few months, as we have tried to find our new pattern with days and working patterns. I can't thank them enough.

We adore Winchester, Bright Horizons. The team are fantastic. Our daughter's key workers have always created a special bond with her, but we love that the whole team make great efforts to welcome, support and care for her. Attention to detail is amazing, learning opportunities are rich and crafted to

I started with Bright Horizons in January 2021. I hold a B.A Honors Degree in Early Childhood Studies (Level 6) and Level 3 Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCo).


These qualifications have supported my interests in children's development and teaching. Additionally, the importance of a strong parent partnership.

I have been working in a nursery setting for 8 years. I started as a holiday cover whilst at college completing my Level 3 qualification. I have worked with lots of wonderful practitioners and children who have helped me develop my practice along the way and become the Deputy Manager.
