We have been extremely happy with the care our son has received. The team focus on being baby-led which matches our approach at home and so the nursery is an excellent fit for our family. My son is confident and happy at nursery and really enjoys the activities offered which seem to be wide in nature
and variety. My son and his key worker have a strong bond and I know this means he is being cared for to an excellent standard and trusts all the other nursery staff too - some mornings he will leap into their arms ready to play! He eats all the food so I am assuming it tastes great and I know it has been NHS nutritionally approved which also gives me peace of mind. Occasionally the app has broken but this is rare and the only reason I would rate ICT "good" rather than excellent - when it does work it is a fantastic way to be reassured his day is going well - I love to see photos and observations on there.

Busy Bees has really exceeded our expectations. Our 1 year old loves to go and has been progressing incredibly quickly since attending. They are so thoughtful and work so hard to accommodate everyone’s child. They put a lot of care and thought to consider their individual needs and work hard on developing
the children’s confidence. Really love the loving environment and are so glad we chose this nursery.

My daughter has attended since she was 7-months-old and is now two and a half. She loves all the staff and talks about all her friends and the activities they do. It’s great to know the menu is accredited by the NHS, so she has a healthy balanced diet and freshly cooked food on site! It’s hard to keep
up at home! The garden is used in all weathers, and we love getting ideas to use at home to help keep her busy. She has transitioned so well after lockdown, and it’s a credit to the amazing team and management. Thank you!

Our daughter started in August this year, at 11 months old. We were feeling very nervous about nursery, but we had a great settling in period with lots of sessions in advance. Mainly it really reassured us as parents. Our daughter absolutely loves it here! She kicks her legs and waves her arms in excitement
as we walk down the hill towards nursery. Does so many activities, the food is great, and everyone is really lovely. The only problem is that we've got to up our activity quality as parents! Everyone who works there seems to really care about the kids and they're great with us as parents. We get loads of feedback, ideas on what we can do with her, and lots of photos and updates via the dedicated website. Couldn't recommend it any higher.

I would recommend this fabulous nursery.
The team are fantastic and I can’t fault them. They are so caring and have created such a lovely, engaging environment where our son's development has come on leaps and bounds. Our son enjoys going to nursery and always has a smile on his face.

The start of nursery is as most parents will agree a huge choice and decision to make as a parent. The team at Busy Bees Lewisham have made this changeover the most effective and delightful transition we could have asked for as a family. My daughter loves all the workers and her learning has developed

Highly recommended nursery!!!
This nursery is wonderful. The kind staff are really passionate about the wellbeing of all the children. I feel my little one has really flourished since being here. We are always informed of any events, exciting days and activities the children have been getting up to.
The children’s days are well structured and keep to a fun-filled routine. We have updates from the staff on how our little one is developing and what she is learning, we even get updates on what she has eaten that day. The building is well equipped, clean and safe for a full day of play and learning. We are so happy to have our little one at this nursery.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was 10-months-old (now nearly 2) and she loves every second of it. All the staff are amazing - welcoming, knowledgeable and most importantly know my daughter so well.

My little one has been attending Busy Bees Lewisham since January - with a break over the full lockdown period. He absolutely loves it. The staff are attentive and fun, mixing educational games with important skills such as reading and talking. My son is 18 months old, and learning independence and
they have been great at helping him grow in confidence, whether it's climbing the slide in the garden or trying new foods at lunch. As a working parent, it means the world to know I'm dropping him somewhere that he loves, surrounded by people that genuinely care for him. They go the extra mile, taking the time to find out the games he likes to play at home and the books he likes to read. The Busy Bees app also keeps me up to date with everything he's been up to while at nursery. I love it. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Deciding which nursery to send your first child to can be a very daunting task, however, the staff at Busy Bees Lewisham made the whole process incredibly easy from start to finish. They have such dedication to ensure your child settles in from their very first day, and take the time to get to know
each child under their care. I have been most impressed by all the little things they do really well - such as remembering little things about your child (i.e. their favourite song) and getting you to bring in a box of things to help your child settle in the first few weeks. My daughter can’t wait to go to nursery every single morning and it is a great comfort to know that while I am at work, she is getting the best of care, amazing food and most of all, fun! As a first-time parent, leaving their child in the care of someone who isn't friends or family is one of the most daunting experiences ever. This being said, Busy Bee's Lewisham has made this process as stressfree as possible. From the moment we were greeted at the door we knew our child would be happy
here.
The staff in my child's room seem to display a genuine, caring and personal relationship with him and no question is too silly. My son took only a few days to settle in and I believe that was down to the positive and nurturing environment of the nursery. When you have to leave your child for an entire day to attend work, this is the sort of establishment you want caring for your baby.

My son has been enrolled at Busy Bees Lewisham since late 2018 and I have been extremely satisfied with the support from all staff ay Busy Bees and the improvements that I've seen in my child through all these times. The staff at Busy Bees are friendly, dedicated and attentive to the children and parents
alike. I also particularly like the many initiatives/ideas they have, such as "chatterboxes" to encourage children to describe items in the boxes or allowing children to make their own playdough or even cookies, and most importantly they incorporate a lot of learning through play. Thumbs up to everyone at Busy Bees Lewisham.

We have only good things to say about this nursery. For a first experience, we hardly could ask for more as the staff, facilities and overall atmosphere are great.
Even though it was a bit difficult for our son to adapt to life in nursery, he is now very happy to go there every day, which is a credit
to the lovely people working at Busy Bees at Lewisham. It is also very reassuring as a parent to have a real-time online update on how the 'day to day' of our little boy is going.
We are also very excited to hear about the refurbishment of the garden area (soon to be completed) which will add to the place.

Deniz Goordyal

Job Title: Centre Director Joined: 2003

My name is Deniz Goordyal and I am the Centre Director of Lewisham nursery.


I have worked in Early Years since 1989 and have two children of my own. I have worked at Busy Bees since 2003 first as a Manager at the Greenwich branch and then as a Regional Director for the London Region then returning to managing at the Lewisham branch in 2016. I have come back to my roots as my childcare career began in the London Borough of Lewisham, working in Deptford and the surrounding areas. I hold the BTEC National Diploma in Childcare and a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification. Childcare is my passion and I love to have fun with children. I am creative and like to dance and play games and challenge children's thinking. I have lots of other interests which include travelling, pampering myself and eating out gardening and walking!
