Jubilee Gems is a term-time nursery and is owned by the operators Jubilee Day Nursery and located in the beautiful Berkshire countryside between Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke.

The nursery offers an exciting range of learning opportunities for children aged between two and five years and has age and stage appropriate facilities both indoors and out, including messy and sensory areas and outdoor balance beams.

A large garden, farmland and private woodland allow children to explore, learn and grow in a safe and stimulating environment.

Healthy and nutritious meals are prepared on a daily basis and are produced from fresh, local produce.

Qualified, experienced and professional staff ensure they provide rich learning opportunities for their key children, whilst providing high-quality care.

Jubilee Gems are able to offer free Government funded places for eligible two year olds and transport if required, as well as free entitlement for three and four year olds.

Only positive things to say about Jubilee Gems. Our daughter absolutely adores it! She has reached so many milestones with the help of the staff at the nursery. The nursery's strong passion for outdoor activities and messy play really make them stand out. The staff are all enthusiastic and totally adore
what they do. The nursery has access to a local farm so the children spend a lot of time outdoors with the animals. The staff keep us updated all day through the app so I'm never left wondering how she's doing. They upload pictures at the end of each day and have a weekly activity focus. They serve nutritious food and support us in every aspect of parenting. We can't thank them enough

I truly cannot say highly enough how wonderful all the staff are. From the very beginning, they have been so nurturing and patient with my daughter, who is a very shy child. They've created such a warm, supportive environment where she feels safe and encouraged to come out of her shell. It's been amazing
to see her confidence grow.
A huge thank you as well to the cooks - since starting in Sapphires, she has become so much more adventurous with food and is now trying so many wonderful new things! It's made such a difference.
She may be very quiet while she's there, but at home she is always full of chatter, excitedly telling us all about her wonderful day. That says everything about how happy and comfortable she feels.

We feel so lucky to have our daughter at Gems. From the very beginning, the team have been warm, caring and genuinely invested in her development and happiness.


She absolutely loves the outdoor learning and comes home with the biggest smiles, sometimes with muddy shoes from very serious mud kitchen

baking. It's so clear how much thought and passion goes into each day, from creative activities to nurturing support.


The staff are kind, attentive and truly care about every child as an individual. We've seen her grow in confidence, curiosity and independence, and that means the world to us.


We couldn't ask for a more loving and positive environment for her early years. Thank you for everything you do.

I cannot rate Jubilee Gems enough!
For 3 years they have nurtured my child and supported her to become the confident, strong-willed child that she is. She can often recount stories or key phrases. Her regular visits to the woods have enabled her to discuss different aspects of nature on our walks
and she has a love of baking and gardening due to the regular activities she completes.
All staff on site are polite, friendly and helpful and it has been wonderful to see how much she has grown under her care.

I genuinely do not have enough nice things to say about this nursery. I highly recommend it to all. I was quite nervous sending my first child at 10 months, but she has been eager to go in and see her friends and the staff every single time. They are endlessly cheerful (I do not know how they do it
personally), and have taught my child so much. The kids are outside every day come rain or shine, and have loads of opportunities to visit the farm and the woods, seeing different animals and exploring the wild in so many ways, this was very important to us as it meets our own ethos.
They have a useful app and list what they had for meals, sleeps, bathroom visits and photos of what they have been up to - this helps when she claims she hasn't eaten and is so hungry! Nice try kid.
She has really thrived here. I very much hope, and fully expect my second child will thrive too come next September! Thanks team for all you do, you really are brilliant!

Jubilee Gems is an absolute gem of a nursery. I tell everyone how lucky we are to have the opportunity to send our little boy to Jubilee Gems. The staff are very caring and nurturing, from settling in to the events they organise to the daily updates in person and on the app. They are so enthusiastic

Our little girl has been at Jubilee Gems since she was 9 months old and absolutely loves it. She skips in every day and is full of stories and experiences at pick up. The nursery team are so loving and they create the most wonderful messy play trays and music sessions and outdoor learning opportunities
every day. Our girl has especially enjoyed her trips to the library and visiting the elderly people with whom she loves to play. The entire nursery is well run as is every individual nursery room. Each member of staff knows every child by name and it really does feel like a family. I drop off every morning with complete confidence that my daughter will explore, learn, be inspired and very well fed! The nursery cook is fantastic and her 'chicken curry' is an absolute favourite. The children get involved with preparing food on some days and do baking. All round it's 5 stars from us! *****

My son began Jubilee Gems at 8 months old. The staff team have been so supportive to us as a family, and shown our child so much care and provide an amazing range of learning and fun activities for all the children everyday. The outdoor space is just fanastic, and the farm and woodland trips are an
extra special bonus, with the additional play areas and all the animals. A fantastic nursery set in beautiful country side, the whole staff team are friendly and happy, and its lovely to see all the children entering or leaving the nursery happy and excited. Everyday the food sounds nutritional and delicious, and catered for any dietary requirement. The app they use means constant communication, which is lovely peace of mind while we are at work. We can't recommend Gems enough, and are so glad we chose them to help raise our little boy.

Excellent nursery. My little girl is incredibly happy and loves going into nursery. The staff who care for her are very loving towards her and always very welcoming which helps her to feel settled. The activities provided each day are always varied and they spend a fair amount of time both outdoors
and indoors, as well as going on trips to the farm. The learning experiences are outstanding and I've seen my daughter progress massively in the short time she has attended Jubilee. Superb nursery. All of the staff are lovely and helpful. My daughter has enjoyed going over the last year, she was unsure at first as it was a new experience and had a few tears on a few occasions but each time, the staff supported her and made her feel at ease. I would definitely recommend this nursery
to anyone. I love how they're not stuck indoors all day, they get out explore the woods and surrounding areas and go for day trips. I wish my little one could've stayed here longer!

From the very first session, our child absolutely loved this nursery - he settled in straight away, which says everything about how warm, loving and kind the staff are. They made us feel so welcome from the beginning and clearly treat every child with such genuine care and attention. It truly feels
like a home away from home.
One of the standout things about this nursery is their incredible outdoor space and farm. The children get to spend time outside every day, rain or shine, which we absolutely love. Visiting and interacting with the animals is such a unique and enriching experience.It's a magical part of their day that we feel so lucky to have found.
Communication with the team is always quick and thoughtful - whether it's a little update or answering a question, they're always happy to help and nothing ever feels like too much trouble. It gives us such peace of mind knowing our child is in such capable, kind hands.

Having only ever worked within the Early Years Sector, I have many years of experience working with children and see my vocation as a real privilege. My 20-year career at Jubilee has seen me progress from a nursery nurse to the position I am proud to hold today.


I am proud to lead a highly skilled and enthusiastic team of early-year practitioners who provide high-quality teaching and deliver a vast range of learning experiences. I have a passion for guiding and training the team to achieve great things for all the children in our care.


Over the years, I have had inspiration from many different learning approaches which have been embedded into our Early Years Curriculum, recently achieving an ‘Outstanding’ result from our latest Ofsted inspection at one of our Jubilee sites!


I feel honoured that parents give Jubilee Daycare the opportunity to care for their children and as a team, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional learning opportunities and unique Early Years experiences.

Paula has been a part of Jubilee for many years, working across the different age ranges and across both sites.


She has always held a passion for being outdoors and creating ambitious learning opportunities through her forest school sessions. Paula is our Level 3 qualified Forest School Leader, and she carefully follows the unique and carefully created forest school aspect of our Jubilee Gems Curriculum, making this a strong element of our preschool practice. Despite the British weather, Paula embraces the woods daily, where she develops the children’s resiliency, independence and problem-solving whilst also developing the children’s knowledge of woodland growth, flowers, trees, birds and wildlife. In addition to this, the children also develop and use the skills to whittle sticks, build a den, and toast marshmallows on the campfire. Paula works with the rest of the team to ensure a consistent approach to the children being forest school-ready.

I have worked at Jubilee Gems for over 10 years and in this time, I have gained a wealth of experience and knowledge across all age ranges, including our out-of-school care, Jubilee Jets. My love of the variety that working with older children brings means that every day is different and unique. As the Jubilee Jets Leader, I ensure a wide range of activities are offered to the children and these include making pizzas and toasting marshmallows at our dedicated woodlands, having our Jets Bake Off and our much loved ‘Jets Got Talent.’ My team and I ensure there is a balance of creativity, imagination and exploration whilst encouraging socialisation. Watching friendships form over the holidays is the highlight of leading Jubilee Jets.
