Ashington Day Nursery & Pre-school

Both our children settled in beautifully at this nursery. We will be incredibly sad to be leaving them. Thank you ever so much for all your help. The children spent most of their summer outdoors, which both my husband and I loved (as did our children).

The kids have learnt so much and grown so much since starting, and I’m so looking forward to seeing the amazing progress my daughter will still have.

The setting is lovely, and my little girl is so happy here. The people at the nursery are so kind, warm and friendly, and they were so patient with my little girl when she took a long time to settle in. Now she can’t wait to go!

We just started Ashington Nursery and we love it! The carers have really worked with my anxiety on leaving my 10-month-old as I go into work. My boy loves the people who work there and they’ve even been able to get him to nap! I feel very comfortable leaving my boy there knowing that he will be taken care of and fed. Also, if I had any requests they would be willing to work with those as well. Would 100% recommend Ashington Nursery!

My daughter went to Ashington Nursery from the age of 2 - 4 years old. She was always so excited to see all her friends and all of the staff. She said she always feels happy when she thinks of “little school”. My son has been going since June 2020 and he is 2 years old, he absolutely adores this place including the staff. He is besotted with the nursery and can’t wait to go back each time he leaves. The best place for my children is Ashington Children’s Nursery.

What an amazing place, the staff are so helpful and friendly. My son adores going there and they even put on a special diet catering for allergies. They have continued to strive for excellence and help my child thrive for the entire time he has been there.

My eldest attended the nursery from around age 2.5 years until she left for school at the end of August 2020. She absolutely loved going to nursery and always had lots to tell me about her day at pickup. My son has attended the nursery from eight-months-old (with a short gap during lockdown), he is now two and always has a good time at nursery. The nursery have lots of fun and creative activities for all the children to get involved in.

This nursery is fantastic both my daughters have loved it there. My oldest daughter struggled to settle at two local nurseries but settled straight away at Ashington the staff are fantastic and consistent, and my youngest we can’t wait to go to nursery. She’s in through the door like a flash and doesn’t look back. They give a brilliant review of their day and what and how much they have eaten at every pickup.

Our daughter is currently 22 months old and she has been going to Ashington Nursery from 10 months. Initially, I was really anxious about going back to work and leaving her in someone else's care but I needn't have worried. The nursery staff were so friendly and welcoming and put my mind at ease. They did some great settling in sessions and as a result, she settled really quickly. She continues to enjoy going in and has bonded well with the staff. The nursery has been so flexible and accommodating with increasing sessions and have taken a really sensible perspective and appropriate measures during covid. I feel very comfortable with her in their care and feel they know her well. My husband is Dutch and he found out they were going to put a book together of some Dutch words so they could help her a little with this. Would highly recommend the nursery.

My son has been attending Ashington nursery for over 2 years and absolutely loves it. He has made several good friends with both other children and the lovely staff. He really missed the nursery during the lockdown and was very happy to return. The variety of activities is excellent, including lots of outdoor play, painting, crafts, reading, etc and undoubtedly this has contributed towards my son’s development. The staff are always warm, welcoming and professional, and they work hard to keep the children happy and stimulated. We are so grateful for all their support.

My daughter has been going to Ashington Children's Nursery since she was 9 months old and now shes 2 and a half years old. She absolutely loves nursery, and I always have a happy child come home who’s excited to tell me about everything she did at nursery that day. All the staff are lovely and so supportive of her needs and helping her grow into a confident little girl that she is. I would highly recommend this nursery and when my newborn boy is older he will be attending there too.

Special mention for the chef who really cares about what the children are eating.

Despite my son starting at Ashington Nursery only a month ago, he has settled in brilliantly and far better than I’d ever have imagined! The staff are brilliant and made us both feel very welcome (even with the COVID restrictions in place!). Like many first time mums, I was an emotional wreck at drop off on his first day, but the team were really supportive and reassured me that he would be absolutely fine, and he was! I feel happy leaving him, safe in the knowledge that he’s happy, well cared for, encouraged but more importantly, that he’s given a cuddle when he needs it most! Thank you to all of the team, who really go above and beyond to make sure the little people enjoy themselves on a daily basis!

The nursery always looks clean, and my baby appears to like the food very much.

Overall, the most important thing for us is that we trust the team implicitly with the most precious thing in our lives, and we cannot thank them enough.

Both my daughters absolutely love this nursery. They both have special needs, and the nursery has gone above and beyond to support them. My daughter gets very excited every morning she goes to nursery when we arrive there.
