Hydesville Tower School's Nursery in Walsall offers a happy and nurturing environment in which to prepare your child for life in school.

The nursery is staffed by a highly experienced, expert team who support the children's learning and holistic development.

All children can enjoy the benefits that being part of an independent school brings. These benefits include: dancing, P.E, French and the provision of extra-curricular activities including: ICT, modern dance, art club.

The School's proven approach in Nursery is to deliver a careful balance of structured learning and child-initiated free play, where young ones can learn with enjoyment and challenge. Hydesville Nursery is the only one I considered to start my children's education. Nothing else would do. It offers the very best start possible, teaching manners, sharing, patience, kindness, and empathy, alongside the academic teaching. Small year groups was a major factor, guaranteeing individual
attention and making it clearer and easier to see if additional support is needed at a much earlier point than in a larger setting.

My daughter transitioned from a daycare setting to Hydesville Tower School nursery at 3 years old and the difference was immediate.
The teachers are always friendly and welcoming, and the facilities are well presented and immaculate. We feel reassured knowing she is in a secure environment surrounded
by trained and compassionate professionals.
The nursery embraces the all-through aspect of the school by having a set uniform, a curriculum and simple homework assignments for weekends.
My daughter has grown in confidence and inquisitiveness, and being an only child at the time, her speech and communication skills were markedly improved. Following her progress on the app, it is evident that the approach is tailored for each individual and the daily updates allow us to continue the same learning and play at home.
My daughter will find the transition to reception easy, due to how much closer this is to a school setting than a traditional daycare or alternative nursery.

Hydesville Tower Nursery has been nothing short of transformative for my 3-year-old. Over the past year, I've watched my child blossom into a confident, curious learner under their expert care. The staff's dedication to creating a nurturing environment while following early years curriculum guidelines
is evident in everything they do.
The nursery's approach to learning through play has particularly impressed me. Their language skills have improved dramatically and they've developed strong friendships with their peers.

Amazing!
My little boy loves going to nursery and all the staff since he has started have helped him settle in really well. One lady is magic she helped so much with toilet training. I feel I never have to worry when he is there.
I am really pleased with all the activities the children do especially
the outdoor learning.

My son started in January 2023 and I must say Hydesville is the best nursery. I have seen nothing but day-to-day support and progress throughout my son’s learning and throughout his growth being at Hydesville. Hydesville is a safe, friendly and a caring environment. Hydesville School is a very warm
welcoming school. Provides rich curriculum, I really enjoy seeing my little ones' daily updates on the app. Hydesville is a truly wonderful nursery where the children are cared for in a kind and nurturing environment. The teachers and headmaster are all fantastic. I would highly recommend Hydesville.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for over a year now and she has come along leaps and bounds since she first joined. She loves going to nursery every day and the staff are very supportive and caring.
The daily updates via the app showing photos and videos of what my daughter has been doing
are very reassuring and it's amazing to see the progress that is being made.
I highly recommend this nursery.

Fantastic nursery with wonderful caring staff who nurture the children ready for reception.
They set the children clear goals and communicated this well with the parents to support this at home. Regular updates on the app to ensure we knew what our child had done that day.

My daughter has been attending here since September and I’m really able to see the difference from her previous nursery to Hydesville in terms of the dedication the staff put into making sure my child is being stimulated with the skills and knowledge that she needs to be on track and above, so that
she is already a step ahead for when the begins reception. All the teachers have lovely warm characters which really makes me feel at peace when sending my child into the school. I can feel confident that my child and all the other kids are being treated equally when together.
The school also always makes the effort to make sure the children have lots of exciting activities to be part of throughout all the terms, which allows the parents to be involved in sometimes which I feel builds a close community between us all.

My child began nursery in September 2023. It took a while for him to settle, however, my son seems to have found his routine now in his new setting. He thoroughly enjoys nursery and drop-offs are a lot easier than they have been at any other nursery. He is clearly building a good relationship with his
key worker and other members of staff. Staff have offered support when needed and communicate well with feedback if any concerns or requests are raised. Security measures are in place during drop-off and collections, which is comforting to know that with good communication your child remains safe at collection times. I can see the progress my child has made just how he wants to learn how to write now. He tries really hard to practice his writing and complete homework. He loves the activities that happen throughout week, especially Thursday and Friday's dance and forest Fridays. This is something my son loves to do and evident through tapestry that this remains true.

Hydesville Nursery is fantastic! After viewing other nurseries we decided on Hydesville my daughter who started the nursery at 3 had only been in my care since birth, I was apprehensive about leaving my daughter, but Hydesville is brilliant. The staff update the app which puts your mind at ease seeing
my little one having so much fun. Not only do the children have child-initiated play but education masked as fun is incorporated. My daughter thrived in all areas and became so independent whilst at the nursery. The staff are phenomenal in particular my daughter's key worker was the best teacher in the world. The nursery is a fantastic setting for preparing the children for reception. I look forward to sending my second child to the nursery in the near future.

My son has been at this nursery since September. I can honestly say that I couldn’t feel happier about leaving him here. He enjoys nursery thoroughly, loves all of his teachers and even loves the food!
The manager and her team are honestly just amazing. My son has come on leaps and bounds since joining.
I have always been very apprehensive about leaving him anywhere, but I am so happy that he loves nursery so much.
The activities that they do at the nursery are so well thought out and aligned to a very stringent curriculum. I would be more than happy to recommend this nursery to anyone!

Hydesville Nursery is nothing short of outstanding.
The children are well cared for and the staff are all caring and competent.
The manager in particular is loved by all the children and is a fantastic head. She deals with any issue (however small) with diligence and care. She really is the shining
star and all of the kids feel comfortable and happy in her care.
The children get a fantastic head start with their learning. My son had a fantastic foundation-level understanding of reading, writing and numeracy that shone through as he entered reception.
Other benefits are forest school, and the school lunches provided by the school chefs who provide nutritious and well-balanced food and snacks.
The children attend in uniform and the nursery day mirrors the school day which prepares the children well for the transition to school and fosters independence.
Overall, a completely positive experience and I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery to other parents.

I’ve had the pleasure of sending both my children to Hydesville Nursery. I cannot praise the staff enough, especially the head of nursery and another staff member. Both my children have thrived at nursery and I truly believe that this nursery has given them the best start to education!

At Hydesville Nursery they aim to achieve the best for their students. A great communication network between teachers and parents. Always updating us through an app what my child is up to during school hours. We as parents are involved as much as the kids. The care and development of my child is outstanding.
At Hydesville they do a variety of activities and my child always talks about what they have done that day. The teachers are caring and passionate and are very supportive and understanding towards my child’s educational needs. I always feel 100% confident that my child is well looked after.

All my children have attended Hydesville Nursery dates ranging from 2016 to present, and I can honestly say this nursery great. My children settled in well right from when they started, the older two thrived really well from their time spent at the nursery, and youngest loves going to nursery.
The
environment at the nursery is brilliant, it’s clear to see all the members of staff have a real passion for ensuring the children have the best time whilst in nursery, they offer a wide variety of activities which are only fun for the children but also prepare them academically for reception.
Staff ensure they update your children’s progress daily via the app the nursery has.

My son started at the school nursery in September 2023. To say I was anxious could be an understatement. My son was so much behind is his speech and language expression and he is a ball of energy that his other nursery struggled to understand him which caused difficult behaviour for them to manage.
I know they wholeheartedly loved him and tried their best but some days I wondered whether that was enough. He is able to read and understand what he reads. Yet, I was told that it's learnt behaviour because I read with him so much at home. I could say coming to Hydesville saved him because he loves learning and there is plenty of opportunities to do so here, with the weekly sound of the week he learns and repeats everything he learns at home. He is kind and caring and am sure it's from the teachers who are also kind and caring towards him. He is still a ball of energy and these moments are channelled into learning opportunities. I'm grateful to the teachers and leadership.

Hydesville Nursery not only provides a caring and nurturing environment but also has a rich curriculum. We are so pleased to see our little one’s progress in all areas.

My son was at nursery for 2 years and has now moved to reception. This was the best thing I could ever do for my son. He has improved and grown so much just by going to the nursery. I first came to Hydesville Tower School in January 1987 and from a very young age I knew that my true profession would be caring for young children and watching them grow into well-grounded little individuals.
I truly believe that Hydesville is a real part of my family and a wonderful place to be. It has always been an aim of mine to create a lifelong lasting impression on the individual child’s learning and development. I feel that it is imperative that all children can access high-quality education and a broad balanced curriculum, which is conducive to promoting powerful and active little learners.


We actively promote routine within the daily programme, balanced with adult guided structured learning and a recognition of an accurate account of what a child can do is at the heart of our personalised learning models during child-initiated activities.


I really enjoy leading a team of dedicated, hardworking Early Years’ practitioners, who bring a wealth of experience and a robust understanding of the Early Years’ Foundation Stage Curriculum. This not only supports our youngest children to learn effectively but gives me confidence that our children’s needs are put first and we facilitate a high level of quality with tireless commitment.

My name is Laura Willis and my role is that of Deputy Head within the Nursery setting.


I have been employed at Hydesville Tower School Nursery for 15 years, starting in 2005. I have developed not only on my own learning journey but that of students past and present. In 2012 I obtained my Early Years Foundation Degree and progressed my career.


When engaging with the children I enjoy creating and nurturing ideas they have, allowing them to develop their own ideas within our friendly, family teaching environment. If required I can seek support from further specialised roles.


I thrive on a stimulating outdoor environment, a rich indoor learning environment where children and grow and flourish as well as being encouraged to play, inspire to learn and support them in nurturing a future.
I aim to give each child a unique and dynamic learning experience whilst guiding them to lay the foundations for their education, personal, social, and emotional development here at Hydesville.


One of the main things I really like about our Hydesville family is the sense of community, with such strong, positive relationships with the children and parents which is underpinned by our superb and effective teamwork, where we all work together to make it a special place for every child to be able to thrive and succeed.


I look forward to welcoming your child into the Nursery and being part of their early learning and development and seeing them grow throughout the years they will be with us.
