Partou Merchant Square Day Nursery & Pre-school opened in September 2014 as a brand-new purpose-built nursery in the newly developed Paddington Basin area. The nursery intends to quickly earn itself a reputation as the leading provider of childcare in Paddington, offering outstanding care to children

Aged 3 months to 5 years and will be open from 8:00 am to 6.00pm Monday - Friday, for 51 weeks of the year (closed during Christmas week).

My daughter has been attending the Merchant Square Day Nursery for several months now and I am very happy with the staff and the facilities. The nursery offers a two week settlement period which I found very helpful and it has longer working hours than most others (7:30-6:30) which is very helpful for
working parents. The staff seem very caring and the facilities seem clean.

My 15 month old has flourished at nursery. The care and staff and Merchant Square is fabulous. They are very loving and caring. My toddler loves it there and my Husband and I are very happy we chose Merchant Square.

Staff here are very kind, friendly. I was so impressed. The facility is very clean and safe. My son was crying in the first few days but quickly he got used to the nursery. I believe he was happy to be here. I am sure we can recommend this nursery to my friends.

After visiting a few nurseries, I felt this one was the most professional, organised and friendly. They accommodate requests for changes in attendance days immediately and respond to any queries quickly. Staff seem to have excellent communication amongst themselves so even if my child's key person is
away there is always someone else present who understands my Childs needs, tends to them and continues any specific developmental play or dialogue. Their feedback is thorough and my child seems to be very happy there.

My review relates to my son's key person. I was very apprehensive putting my only child into nursery having spent nearly a year off work with him.
But my son is extremely happy whenever he sees his key-worker, putting me at ease, He is happy to go off and play with her and she knows how to settle him
and introduce new things to him that he doesn't do at home. She keeps me up to date with his progress with videos and is happy to implement any new things I ask her to. Couldn't be happier and my son loves her too (which makes mummy a little jealous).

Staff are great very supportive, kind and welcoming. Pleased with my daughter's progress.
The staff are encouraging and actively involved as my daughter who started off very shy in daily activities they have now enhanced her programme and confidence. Staff and management listen to parents and our needs
and concerns.
My daughter's key worker has been amazing, always smiling and welcoming. I do not look back when I leave my daughter with her because she is extremely professional and caring.

We have had an amazing experience at Merchant Square Day Nursery. Our daughter is so happy and is very well looked after. She loves the staff and the activities. The nursing facility is great. Lovely rooms and toys. The activities they do with the babies are great. Messy play playing, in the sand and
play dough. Our daughter loves the food as well.

Our daughter attended the nursery two mornings a week from 1.5 to 2 years old. We chose the nursery because it was clean and convenient and the staff were attentive, friendly and cared a lot about our daughter. Our experience was unequivocally positive - our daughter loved it and learnt a lot and we
found the staff to be professional, flexible, responsive, caring and easy to talk to. A play orientated and child orientated, happy place, highly recommended.

The nursery and staff have been amazing in supporting my son and myself since day one. They helped me finally be away from my son for a few hours (or full day) without him getting upset. I have been able to return to work thanks to this nursery and its lovely staff. I have also seen amazing improvement

My child has been attending Merchant Square Day Nursery for about a year and I can't express how happy I am with the care that is given to my child. I love Merchant Square Nursery, from the moment I walked in, the reception was very warm and friendly. My 2-year-old daughter has developed amazingly well and is greatly looked after and cared for by the very attentive, well-trained and caring staff. The staff are very tuned-in to each individual child
and I especially like the fact that they have a key person policy. Every day I collect my child, I get the daily feedback on her meals and activities. The staff are also hands-on on all of their reports and are even as thorough as to documenting step by step through visuals of your child's progress and that enables staff and parents to work on and adjust to make the child's development better. Much gratitude to the nurturing and care that my child receives I cannot recommend this nursery even more.

I really like Merchant Square Day Nursery for several reasons:
1. Their indoor/outdoor room is perfect for a place like London (daylight without the danger of traffic, etc).
2. The entrance is more buggy-friendly than many others I've seen (no steps, actual storage cupboard, etc).
3. Great opening
hours (7.30 am - 6.30 pm) and no term breaks
4. Very friendly staff and a great chef
Sometimes their communication is not the greatest, but I'd rather have them be brilliant with the children than be perfect office employees!
