Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Clifton - Whiteladies Road) is a lovingly converted setting, with an interior that is tailored to support children make new discoveries throughout their early years. The nursery is ideally located in the heart of Clifton and easily accessible for parents who commute into Bristol and for local families. Staff provide professional childcare to help and support busy families.

As well as separate rooms for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, the nursery has secure outdoor play areas that make an important difference to curriculum goals. Children love messy play, racing in the cars and story time outdoors.

The effective Key Person system means that staff know each child very well and ensures that each child's individual needs are met through a strong partnership with parents.

My daughter loves it at Mama Bear's. The best thing about it is the relationship the staff have with the children and the friendliness of the other children. Although she only started in pre-school, she quickly made friends and formed a close bond to the staff in her room.

Generally, this is a good nursery. My daughter has been attending here since she was 8 months old and has always loved it. The staff have always been caring and attentive. It’s just a shame that they can’t seem to keep them. Staff turnover has been high for the past 12 months and I recently received
notification that they would be reducing their operating hours with less than 24 hours notice due to staff shortages. Needless to say, this was inconvenient. I just hope that they can keep on to their people for a bit longer.

Highly recommend this nursery, the manager and staff are lovely and always professional. I have currently put my daughter in for extra sessions due to her enjoying nursery so much and I really feel it has helped with her development.

Our daughter attended Mama Bears from 10 months old to 18 months old. We felt confident leaving her there and that she was safe, happy and well looked after by the staff there. They have lovely outdoor space and the rooms feel big, light and welcoming. She was always happy to be left and always seemed
happy on pick up and comfortable with the staff.
We moved her due to a change in work circumstances but otherwise, she would still be there. It was great to be able to book her in from 8am- 6.30pm meaning that my husband could collect her after finishing work at 6pm. Would definitely recommend.

All of the staff at Mama Bears, Whiteladies Road, Bristol are always so great with my daughter. She is very shy around a lot of people but they always do their best to make her feel comfortable. She has developed and gained so much confidence thanks to Mama Bears.

The care from staff and the learning environment is exceptional! I am so impressed with the progress my daughter has made and the continued confidence she has gained whilst being at Mama Bear's nursery. The staff really do care and go above and beyond for all the children in their care,I could not recommend
them highly enough. My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery every day.

Our son has attended this nursery since the age of 10 months old. Heis now two and a half. We as parents have always been impressed with the genuine care, interest compassion and friendliness of the staff. All the staff know us and our son by first name, we receive detailed summaries of progress and
activities during the days he attends and the updates on the Eylog are fantastic our son has gained social confidence and has developed some close friendships with his peers couldn't recommend more highly.

I have no concerns leaving my son at nursery every day. He is extremely well taken care of and he is always happy to go to nursery. I have a lot of respect for the staff looking after him, in particular, one staff member.
I am always able to discuss my son with staff and has helped me a lot with his
potty training as well as helping me to guide my son through his anxieties about new things he had to deal with.

My son loves coming to Mama Bear's in the morning. He especially likes the mud kitchen, and also likes learning the songs and the actions to go with them.
The staff are friendly and always full of happiness which seems to rub off on my son who usually wants to leave at the end of the day, but is always
keen to come back next time.
