Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Clifton - Whiteladies Road) is a lovingly converted setting, with an interior that is tailored to support children make new discoveries throughout their early years. The nursery is ideally located in the heart of Clifton and easily accessible for parents who commute into Bristol and for local families. Staff provide professional childcare to help and support busy families.

As well as separate rooms for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, the nursery has secure outdoor play areas that make an important difference to curriculum goals. Children love messy play, racing in the cars and story time outdoors.

The effective Key Person system means that staff know each child very well and ensures that each child's individual needs are met through a strong partnership with parents.

This is a lovely nursery with a great staff. They provide wonderful activities for the children and have good facilities. They are excellent at communication and I love seeing photos of what my children are doing. They are very kind people and the children love it there. They are also good at assessing
their personal development. So overall it's a good place to send your precious little ones.
What really lets the nursery down is poor management by the finance team (not the individual site management, which is good). I am on my fifth email to their accounts department just this month to re-amend my incorrect invoice, and I had issues with them pre-covid. This is a long-term issue with staff not cross-checking what their software has calculated properly. My child was changed to a different type of rate than I had agreed without me being informed, and debts and interest have been showing on my bill which wasn't owed. I recommend all parents carefully check their invoicing.

My little one, 18 months, joined the nursery in October 2020, after the long Covid isolation. It was her first experience in a nursery and I was a bit worried because she saw very few people in the previous months. Our experience at this nursery has been extremely positive.
The staff are very caring,
sweet and patient and they organise a lot of fun and interesting activities.
I had the feeling that my little one was very looked after by the staff and she was happy to go from the very beginning.
The facilities are quite new and there is a nice outside space where the kids can play.
The level of cleanliness is very good and my little one liked the food.
We absolutely recommend it.

My son has been really happy at the nursery, they have made him feel settled and offered consistency to his development despite the uncertainty of the pandemic which has been great. The communication between myself and the staff has always been good and I am constantly updated with any new information
which as a parent it is always appreciated.

We absolutely love this nursery setting and the facilities on offer at Whiteladies Road. The team are all so engaged and enthusiastic and clearly love their jobs. We can't thank them enough for the care and attention they shower on our children.

Our son has been at Mama Bear's since he was 10 months old and he is now 3 and a half. The staff are always friendly and put the children at the heart of everything they do. We are kept up to date daily through I connect and they tailor a variety of activities for the children. The space at Apsley Road
is lovely and the management is efficient and responsive. I would recommend them to any parent.

My son joined Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Clifton - Whiteladies Road) in March 2020. How time flies! It is an entire year since my family first came to the UK. I do have a lot of feedback and feelings during 2020, which is extremely special to myself and maybe everyone. Thanks to all Mama Bear's Day Nursery
(Clifton - Whiteladies Road) management and staff, for giving my son a safe and happy place to learn to study. When we were in China he had never been to nursery before, it is very difficult to settle down in the UK and go to nursery, if he felt unhappy and unfriendly. Luckily, you will find neither of these occurring in Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Clifton - Whiteladies Road) at anytime. My son changed a lot since he studied in Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Clifton - Whiteladies Road). Her learnt how to eat, dress, and clean himself. He learnt to speak English and sing songs. He learnt to draw and paint what he saw. He also learnt to be polite, friendly and share with others. Thanks for your support, not only to my son himself but also to our whole family.

Our twin toddlers love going to this nursery! They are very well looked after in there and they have both made an incredible progress in their development since starting nursery last September. The great connection they have with all the staff members is surely noticeable.
It is also worth mentioning
that this particular nursery offers extended hours as well as flexible care, which is a real help for working parents.

My son loves coming to nursery, the staff are always smiling and he talks about them all the time. He comes home happy and telling us about all the wonderful things he has done every day and the online system is brilliant for keeping me up to date every day with what he has been doing.
The manager
is always there and always willing to discuss any questions or queries I may have.

My little boy started here last September and he absolutely loves it there. He was already attending another nursery when he moved to Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Clifton - Whiteladies Road) and all the staff made his transition really easy. They do really well with daily updates on the actives the children
get up to, this also includes notes on how they are developing which is a great tool. I would highly recommend Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Clifton - Whiteladies). The staff are all really lovely and it’s clear they love working with children.

I sent my first daughter to this nursery between 2018-2019 for preschool and was so pleased with the nursery that I didn’t even look anywhere else for my second daughter who started in 2020. A testament to the nursery is that many of the same staff remained which meant there was consistency and clearly
that this is a very happy place.
My daughter absolutely loves her time at preschool and she would go every day if she could. She loves the teachers, activities, food-just about everything! She is always very warmly welcomed upon arrival and I am certain she is getting the best care.

Weird time to have to leave your child at a nursery but the team at Mama Bear's have been fantastic in every regard.

A wonderful nursery that feels like a family.
Excellent staff who really care for the children.
Our children are extremely happy at the nursery. They are well looked after and enjoy attending.
My boy loves to play with the train there, and he is telling us everything about the nursery at home.
He has improved so much just by going to the nursery.
I would highly recommend Mama Bear’s Day Nursery to other parents. We just love it!

We are delighted with our child's progress at Mama Bear's since he began there at the start of the year. He is developing so well and loves going there with his peers and getting a warm welcome from the staff on arrival. We have seen huge improvements in many areas in our child and are so impressed
with the information provided on the 'parentzone' app giving daily updates of his time spent at nursery along with some helpful tips around food/nutrition, things to do at home and seasonal activities. If we have ever needed to change the dates of the days for our child's visit the nursey always do their best so he does not miss out on any hours of learning. In these 'testing' times Mama Bear's have still provided a fantastic level of service and we are excited to be able to come back inside the nursery to pick our child up when safety allows. We would have no hesitation in recommending Mama Bear's and will continue to keep our child there as long as we can.

My son loved going to this nursery and made a strong connection with all the staff and his peers. It's sad he has to move on but he's had a great time! My son has attended this nursery since he was 9-months-old. He is now coming to the end of preschool. He has absolutely loved his time at Mama Bear's. He has made lots of friends and has forged close relationships with the staff. The care and enthusiasm of the staff is second to none. I do not need
to worry when he is here, as I know he is being well-loved and taken care of. They now offer a flexi-care booking system which is great for working parents. Not many nurseries offer this facility.

Excellent individual care for children. Both of my children have been here since they were babies and we have been very happy with the care they have received.
The flexible booking system is fantastic for working parents- pretty much the only one I know of that understands the challenges of full time
working parents.
Both of my girls love the staff and the oldest will be very sad to leave next month.
