The purpose-built garden is open throughout the day and treated as an extension of the learning spaces. Children move freely outdoors at any point, where activities are set up to invite exploration and imaginative play. Outdoor play supports children to build confidence and independence, as well as social and motor skill development.
Being part of the wider community park opens doors that most nurseries cannot offer. The children sing with elderly residents, use community sports halls and visit the animal gardens on site, giving children an understanding of community and belonging that enriches their early years.

Both of my children have attended Little Big Steps for a few days a week and the staff have been excellent at helping them settle into nursery life. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. My daughter started here aged 2. She has loved it there. Staff are helpful and friendly and great with her. She has progressed so much and it will be a sad day later on this year when she leaves. I'd definitely recommend this nursery to anyone.

It looks as though they do a wide range of activities - often involving messy play which she loves and means I don't have to do it at home! Her communication is really coming on with good speech development - she often sounds like her key worker so I can tell they've been practicing!

They give time each day to run through that day and anything that needs feeding back. They always spare extra time to answer any questions, and do a great job updating Learning Book so we as parents can see real updates, pictures and videos of our boys progress. They always have great activities, my son loves going there every day and could not be happier.

The range of activities is great and seeing pictures on his electronic diary is lovely. The staff always explain what has happened in the day and are open and honest. It feels like a safe and secure place to send my child with lots of safety protocols to keep all children (and staff) safe.

We absolutely love this nursery. The staff are all really lovely. There is loads of outside space which is really important to us. Our 3-year-old is always happy going there. We just can't recommend this place enough.
My son went to Abbeywood Tots from 11 months old until he left for primary school. He loved it there and all the staff were great at every stage of his development. My other son will be starting in a few months time and I can’t wait to be part of Abbeywood Tots again.

Very friendly staff, significantly larger play areas, exposure to outside elements when suitable...loads of toys..safe parking off the main roads to pick up your child...updates every time I pick my boy up. Highly recommended!!

All the staff at Abbeywood Tots Knowle and friendly and approachable. The nursery nurses responsible for my son’s care are attentive and kind. They are always very enthusiastic about his achievements.

Nursery staff are very friendly and easily approachable. Facilities are great, the only thing is a bigger garden for a 3-year-old group. It's also very convenient that you can drop my child just after 7 am, this has allowed me to extend my working hours and skip morning traffic.
