Partou Little Big Steps Day Nursery & Pre-school in Knowle provides exceptional care and education for children aged 0 - 5.

The nursery has been based in the Park Centre for many years and with its redevelopment they have recently moved in to a spacious, new purpose-built building nestled within its grounds.

The nursery is divided into separate playrooms for different age groups - from the cosy baby room all the way up to the exciting pre-school and children of different age groups have their own outdoor play areas.

Little Big Steps provides a wide variety of fun educational experiences led by qualified teachers and childcare practitioners. The highly-qualified team prepare children for primary school using Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines.

The nursery's educators put a strong emphasis on learning through play and tailor activities to children's individual interests and needs. Staff have paediatric first aid and safeguarding training and all have undergone enhanced DBS checks.

Children at the nursery enjoy a varied seasonal menu filled with fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables – which can be altered to suit any special dietary requirements.

We have been with Little Big Steps since March 21 and our little loves it. The nursery assistants are so good and offer a range of activities for the kids diligently keep us updated every day at pick up and really caring about her progress and development.

Fantastic nursery! The staff in my daughter's room are brilliant, so friendly and my daughter loves going. She gets the chance to do lots of outdoor play and messy play and is always tired out after a morning there!

We had to pull my daughter out of her previous nursery due to safeguarding issues so was dubious about sending her to another one.
From the moment she walked in she absolutely loved it here. She has progressed so much with her speech and personality all thanks to the amazing nursery workers here.
She loves drawing and painting and they always find the time to do this with her.
She has made friends now and loves going to see everyone, she talks about all her friends and the workers there all the time.
I can not thank Little Big Steps enough for giving my daughter the confidence she has gained. Would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

The nursery have been great with my daughter. She’s been going for almost a year now and although she is a little shy, she enjoys her days here and is making friends. I think communication with parents about what is happening in the nursery and also what my child is up to could be better. But the staff
care for my daughter very well, so I can’t fault it on that front.

Our son has been at Little Big Steps Private Day Nursery and Pre-school, Knowle for two years and we have been extremely happy. The staff are professional, friendly, helpful and know the children and their needs extremely well. Our son has continued to develop in a safe, secure and fun environment provided
by all the hardworking staff. In relation to the current pandemic, the nursery and its partner sites have continued to provide continuity of high quality of care in a very challenging environment. I have already recommended Little Big Steps Private Day Nursery and Pre-school, Knowle to friends and they have been as pleased as we are. An excellent choice for childcare and thank you to everyone there!

I can't express enough how fantastic all the team are at Little Big Steps. My little boy has been there since December and he loved it from his first day! All of the staff are so kind and caring and we really feel that they know him so well. We were very impressed with the number of activities they
do with the babies, forever coming home with a new piece of artwork or a decorated biscuit! The special occasions are also acknowledged well, even with a valentine's card for mummy and pancakes on Shrove Tuesday! The staff keep the learning book updated, usually weekly, with lots of lovely pictures showcasing what they've been up to which is lovely to see and so easy to access. The days that my son goes to Little Big Steps, I feel very content that he is in a safe environment, cared for exceptionally well and above all so happy to see the staff and his little friends.

My son started Little Big Steps in the baby room and is now in preschool. He loves going to nursery learning new things and often will come home talking about his day at nursery. The staff are really friendly and always tell me about my sons day in detail. The nursery has good outdoor space for the

Wow, what more can I say, this is definitely the best nursery I have ever had a pleasure of being with and I have had a few, the managers are top-notch and make me and my little legend feel very welcome. The rest of the crew are so welcoming and make a point of telling me how my son’s day went, what
he did, what he ate, what he played with etc! They constantly upload observations and their security which was a very big factor for me gives me such peace of mind!
My little man loves going to nursery and always leaves with a massive smile on his face, if you are reading this, do yourself a favour and listen to what I am writing you won’t regret it!

My daughter has been attending the nursery full time since a baby. She has learnt so much since her time here and is always excited to come and tell me about the different things she has done that day. Simply put, they are amazing. The team are friendly and my son is always happy to go in with them. The handover at the end of the day is never rushed, even with the strictures of covid, I think the team have handled it really well. They have raised really helpful points and are always happy to discuss
any requirements we may have.
As for the main reviewer, he is always demonstrating new skills that he's picked up. He likes to sing and comes home with a new song every week it feels like.
The updates on the learning book are great, and it's lovely to see what he's up too.

My son loves attending nursery here. The staff are really friendly and informative. He completes a range of activities each day and loves interacting with all the children. He often talks about the lovely snacks that he’s had during the day and the meals offered are a real good variety. I love that
he learns about all different events that happen and love seeing the little pictures that he makes. I look forward to receiving updates on the learning book to see what he’s been up to. I’m really glad we chose this nursery.

My child loves coming to this nursery, so much so she cheers when we enter the car park and is sad when we pick her up! There is a lot of outdoor space which is so important to us because she loves being outdoors. Her online learning log is regularly updated so it is lovely to see what she is doing
when she attends and she brought home a lot of arts and crafts at Christmas which was lovely. At pick up the nursery staff always fill me in on what she has been up to and they are so friendly to talk to I feel confident leaving my child with them. Their opening hours is also so convenient as I found a lot of nurseries didn’t open until 8 so having that extra hour helps with work flexibility.

Little Big Steps is a wonderful nursery. The manager is kind and accommodating and all the staff are professional and caring. My daughter loves Little Big Steps!
At first, she was very scared about going but they have all been very good with her and now she loves going,
She’s always learning new things and singing new songs! She’s made lots of friends too and loves the teachers.

I have nothing but good praise for the staff at the nursery, my daughter has developed so well since starting and the staff appear to encourage her at every stage!

Great nursery, our son has been going here since six months old and is now in the pre-school. He loves going every day and always comes back at the end of the day having had lots of fun, as well as eager to tell us about all the things he's learnt.

Both of my children have attended Little Big Steps for a few days a week and the staff have been excellent at helping them settle into nursery life. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. They do lots of fun activities inside and out. The space is great with outdoor areas also to explore. Never

My daughter started here aged 2. She has loved it there. Staff are helpful and friendly and great with her. She has progressed so much and it will be a sad day later on this year when she leaves. I'd definitely recommend this nursery to anyone.

This is a wonderful nursery. My son really enjoys his time here and is always singing a song he has learnt or telling me what he’s been doing. It has helped him try new foods too which is helpful at home. The staff are really friendly and they make me feel safe leaving my son with them, he cries every
drop-off but that’s just because he doesn’t want me to leave, and the staff are so good with him, he’s gradually getting better. They update his pictures and let me know what he is doing which is nice to see.
Would certainly recommend this nursery. I chose this on a recommendation from two separate friends and I am glad I did.

My son has been attending for a month now and the staff have been outstanding. Starting nursery for the first time during a pandemic raises a scary and difficult prospect, but the staff have made it so easy and I feel that my little one is safe and happy. They give good feedback on what they are doing
each day, how he's got on and what lovely, tasty, healthy food he's eaten!
