Having two children attend Little Big Steps over the past 4 years, I've seen dramatic changes and improvements over the last year particularly.
Room leaders are clearly highly trained, professional and deeply care about the wellbeing and development of the children.
I've observed management
really lead by example and prioritise fairness, safety, inclusivity and good communication with parents.
Real thought goes into children's experience here, from who would be their best suited key worker to working on appropriate milestones and development phases for each individual.
Cleanliness, friendly staff across all room's, nice secure outside play area, creative play opportunities are all other positives I can say with confidence.
It's hard to find any significant fault currently worth mentioning and from my experience, any minor issues are normally dealt with swiftly.

I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about sending my daughter to LBS due to events that have happened there in the past. However, I am so pleased we have decided to send her here. She has settled so well into the baby room, she has learned new actions and new words and her confidence is
growing everyday. I feel confident dropping her off and leaving her with the team in Daffodils, they are so lovely and my daughter seems to like them aswell which is great. Everyone who we have met at LBS have been friendly and always make a point to say hello in the corridor. The additional activities such as the valentines stay and play, and World Book Day are a great addition and helps keep parents involved. We have been kept up to date on her progress and her day via the app, and we always get a little debrief at the end of the day when we come to pick her up. I wouldn't hesitate to send my future children to LBS, or recommend to family and friends!

My son Suryansh attends Partou Little Big Steps Day Nursery & Pre-school in the Buttercups group, and we are extremely happy with the care he receives. He joined at 1 year 4 months old and has completed five months, during which we've seen great progress in his speech, reactions, confidence, and
independence.
He has eczema and wheezing issues, and the staff take exceptional care by applying his prescribed creams 4-5 times daily and giving inhalers when needed, which gives us real peace of mind. A special thanks to Miss Honey for always going the extra mile for Surya. The team also carefully manages his special dietary requirements and keeps parents involved by encouraging us to share photos from special events at home. We truly appreciate their dedication and support.

Our daughter started at LBS about 6 weeks ago and it has been such a positive experience for us all. She's settled in really well already thanks to the kind, gentle and caring staff. They're even managing to get her down for naps (which is a real challenge) - amazing! We get lots of detailed updates
throughout the day via an app which is always reassuring. We've also really noticed her development has come on so much since she started at nursery, both her speech and motor skills.
We were able to join a stay and play at nursery recently and it was so lovely to see first hand how comfortable our daughter is there with the wonderful staff who care for her. Our big thanks to the fab team in Daffodils!

I am very happy with the staff at LBS DR particularly since the incident with Ofsted. We have noticed a marked change in practice and culture about the core staff. We have a 1 year old and a 4 year old at the nursery as well as nieces.
Although we feel that they could try to organise some events
outside of the nursery or trips, on the whole we are happy with the communication and how our children feel at nursery. We appreciate the courtesy calls when an incident happens. This shows us they care.

Our son started at Little Big Steps in June 2025. He settled in so quickly with the help of the staff in the baby rooms and loves his time there, often talking about the staff and his nursery friends when he gets home. We've found that improved staffing levels has led to an improvement in
communication from the nursery generally, and our son continues to thrive there. Thank you very much!

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Little Big Steps Nursery. My son has been with the nursery for quite a while now and has progressed through many of the different classes, from the baby room all the way up to Bluebells. Watching his journey through each stage has been so reassuring and
heartwarming.
From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly caring, nurturing, and attentive. In the baby room, they made us feel completely at ease, providing a safe and loving environment where he could settle and grow in confidence. As he moved up through the rooms, we've loved seeing how each class builds on the last - encouraging independence, creativity, and social skills in such a natural and supportive way.
Now in Bluebells, he continues to thrive. His confidence has grown so much, his communication skills have developed beautifully, and he comes home excited to tell us about his day, his friends, and all the fun activities he's been doing.
We would highly recommend.

Very nice and friendly staff, lovely place organised and clean .
I was very happy with my first kid being there and now my second one is really enjoying too.
The option for early seating is really helpful.

Feel at ease the minute we drop our daughter to nursery. She has built great relationships with staff and other children and is always happy when we peak through the door before collection. Communication and feedback from staff and management is great. The nursery as a whole is very welcoming and
has been great for our girls development. Couldn't recommend enough!!

I truly feel that the nursery has improved so much, both personally and in its overall structure. The staff are incredibly friendly, caring, and dedicated. I feel confident knowing that our Noah is happy and enjoying himself there.

The staff at LBS have been extremely caring and nurturing towards our daughter, especially her key person and the assistant manager, Emma. Our daughter really admires her teachers and it is clear she loves interacting with them. The facility is great and the activities they plan are excellent.

My little one is about to graduate from Little Big Steps and has had the most wonderful time here for the last 4 years. There was a very uncertain, scary time back in November 2024 which was tough as a parent and felt nervous about sending them back in, but it was the best decision. The staff were
brilliant at settling them back in and even more attentive to the children's needs. I have no doubts in my mind that they are well looked after as they come home every day happy and smiling.
I would happily recommend LBS to any one of my friends and I am sure my little ones would say the same.
We recently had a graduation party in which they really did pull out all the stops and had the most wonderful morning. I was amazed at the time and effort it must have taken the staff and on a weekend too. Very impressed!

If you are looking for a nursery that will genuinely support, nurture, and engage your child in their early years - look elsewhere!
There is a complete absence of understanding or acknowledgement of what my child is capable of. It's as if the nursery is simply a place to contain children rather
than help them grow. The so-called "activities" lack variety, planning, or basic imagination. The level of care borders on negligent. Staff turnover is out of control; familiar faces disappear without any word to parents. I spent over a month requesting a parents' evening - just the bare minimum - a simple review using the Birth to Five framework. Not only was this ignored, but neither the meeting nor the documentation ever materialised. This nursery is chaotic, poorly run, and emotionally exhausting for any parent trying to be involved. The lack of structure, consistency, and genuine care is appalling. My child deserves better, every child does - and so do their families.

We have had a wonderful time being shown around. All staff and management have been inviting and kind and made us feel very welcome. They are all extremely approachable and i feel my children would be safe with all individuals in a very comfortable environment through all rooms. Great job Little Big

It's taken me a very long time to sit down and consider writing this review. My primary concern has always been the safety of other children and parents need to hear what I have to say. My at time, 11 month old son, was involved in a safeguarding issue in this nursery. I won't give details, the
whole ordeal was awful and heartbreaking from start to finish. As a parent it's your worse nightmare, they failed in their basic duty of care in keeping babies safe. After the incident taking place, I also can't describe the awful treatment and mishandling we received at the hands of Partou. The incident took place in November and to this say we havnt received a refund for the day my child was mistreated in this nursery. His incident wasn't isolated, a number of incidents took place and to this day I don't know the full outcome of the investigation.
Please do not send your babies here.

Lovely, caring learning environment for our daughter, she has really thrived at little big steps and loves being there. Especially love the outdoor aspects and trips to the fields etc. Teachers really care about her and know her well. Food is great. If I had to ask for something more, it would be
more proactive info, news letters etc. Otherwise all good!

My daughter has been coming to Little Big Steps since she was a year old and has always absolutely loved it! Every room is clean and fully equipped with toys and activities suitable for that age range. The food always sounds really nice and I'm often told my daughter has second and third helpings!
The staff are all so lovely and seem to have goo relationships with the children. Would highly recommend Little Big Steps to any parent.

We are happy with the overall nursery service,our kid seemed to enjoy being there and we see a constant progress on him.
He is more sociable and also has learn a lot more new words and they been supporting with potty training.

Without this nursery, I would be unable to work - the team enables me to leave my child knowing he is safe and having fun. I think as mums we deal with a lot of guilt with putting our children into childcare, but with little steps, it definitely makes me feel at ease and allows me to focus on work
while I'm there. Cannot recommend highly enough!
