Running a nursery has to be one of the toughest gigs out there - it's very hard to find and retain great staff, there are constant challenges in and around sickness and absence management and ultimately a lot of pressure on delivering a high standard of care to children at critical stages of their personal
development.
Sometimes parents (us included) give them a hard time, but it should be said that the staff do an exceptional job with the resources they have available and we have been exceptionally lucky to send our 2 daughters to such a great establishment. All the room leaders, key workers and other staff come together to provide a supportive and cohesive environment in which our 2 daughters feel safe and empowered to explore, learn and grow.
Thanks especially to all the staff who help to create such a wonderful environment and keep up the good work!

We're really happy with the level of care at this nursery. Our little one seems super happy and continues to make strong attachments to staff members. We get good developmental feedback, and the facilities are good.

We feel so lucky to have a place at Leaps and Bounds in the preschool room after moving from another nursery in January 2025 due to a change in opening hours at our old preschool. We were a little nervous about moving our son but the team settled him in seamlessly and made us all feel very welcome.
Our son is thriving after only being there for one term, we see lots of updates on the app and he has made so much progress in such a little time. His key workers plan activities to fit the time of year, the children's interests, key learning aims and after identifying areas that those in their group could develop. For example when our son started staff noticed he wasn't using the other children's names so they played a game where he could learn and use the other children's names. He excitedly tells us all about his day and the friends he has made.

The baby room staff have been outstanding at helping our baby settle. Even though he's only there one day a week he's formed strong bonds with the staff, and we can tell they are caring, inventive, and very competent at helping the children develop in all areas. They have taken the time to give us detailed
updates on the app while he's been settling in, putting our minds at ease and giving us an insight into his world there, and we're really grateful. Thank you, team!

We feel really lucky that our daughter has a place here - the staff are so friendly, they all seem to know every child's name (even in different classes!) and we always feel like they genuinely care about each and every child in their care.
Our daughter has been attending since she was just 2 and is
now in preschool; she loves it and often doesn't want to leave at the end of the day.
The communication with the office is also great so we feel heard if we ever have any questions.
Really fab nursery!

The kiddo is coming up to almost a year at Leaps and Bounds at this point, and she's thriving. The staff are amazing with her - She struggles a bit with separation at drop-off, and they very kindly collect her at the front door to minimise her upset.
When we come to collect her in the late afternoon
we walk in to see her engrossed in whatever she's doing, and the nursery offers a wide range of activities. The staff genuinely care and happily celebrate of the kiddo's achievements with us at the end of the day.
Communication is good from the team - for admin-related updates, they're good at sending emails. The nursery uses an app that allows them to share updates throughout the day, note milestones, and share photos of the kiddo.

My daughter hadn't been with many other adults prior to starting her at nursery as our families are out of Bristol, so I was worried about settling in but she has made amazing connections with the adults as she progresses through each room, she has been there for 1.5 years now. She doesn't look back
when I drop her off.
The staff are friendly, open, and kind and always have something personal to say about her at pick up on top of the feedback through the daily app updates. They encourage independence when getting to the toddler stage and have different themes and activities planned each week/term in the various rooms. For example, they had a hairdressing station last week which she was delighted with. There is a great range of food, cooked off-site.
Most of all they are open and transparent, any accidents or other issues I get a call when at work to update me. When something new is suggested for my daughter they ask my opinion and are happy to be led by that which means a lot to me.

My daughter has attended since she was a year old and we have been so impressed with the care she has been given. Every key worker and member of staff who works at the nursery is so kind to our daughter and we have no reservations about leaving our daughter for the day. Amazing resources for the children,
excellent communication with parents, and lovely friends for our daughter to play with. Highly recommend.

We have been really impressed with the nursery. Our boy has settled in so well and absolutely loves it. The staff are so friendly and always give us an update on his day on pick up. They do lots of activities and spend plenty of time outside in the garden. We feel confident leaving our boy at the nursery

I'm so grateful to the Leaps and Bounds team for taking care of my girls for the last five years. Times are hard for childcare providers, but the manager and his team always do their best. The staff are full of energy and enthusiasm, and my children always looked forward to going. I know they were safe
and well cared for, and they always seemed to eat well! The recent expansion of the pre-school room has really given the children more space (and I love the art set-up). Thank you and well done Leaps and Bounds.

My child is thoroughly enjoying their time at Partou Leaps and Bounds Day Nursery and Pre-school. The staff are so caring and compassionate. They have looked after my child from the baby room through to preschool, so have been a big part of our lives over the past few years. I'm sure I've been an annoying
client, very needy at times, but they have never shown any frustration and are always willing to help where they can. It's lovely to be able to have a chat with some friendly faces at the end of the day when I collect.
To provide a balanced review, the only negative I can think of is that the billing can be confusing at times and it's frustrating having to pay for consumables on bank holidays when the nursery is closed and clearly nothing is being consumed. However I expect that's the same at most nurseries.

Partou Leaps and Bounds Day Nursery and Pre-school is a fantastic nursery. The staff go above and beyond to make sure every child has the best start at early education and it is clear how much fun they all have every day. My son was always so excited to go to nursery and he had a wonderful connection
with both his key workers during his time there. As a parent, I felt secure and happy that my son was being well looked after and that he felt safe and happy. If there were ever any issues or concerns they were addressed head on and it always felt collaborative. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Leaps and Bounds and we are really sad to be moving on.

My boy has been attending the nursery for over a year and he absolutely loves it. The staff have been wonderful with him and with us as parents too. The consistency of care that he gets from every single one of the staff makes my wife and I so happy. We feel so lucky to live close to this amazing nursery
and can't recommend it highly enough.

Our daughter was made to feel welcome at Leaps and Bounds from her first day there. She was encouraged to develop in confidence by kind, caring staff and has really loved being with the teams in both the baby and teenies rooms. I would say that the level of care is excellent, staff are hardworking and
enjoy being there, and this generally made our daughter happy to spend time there. Staff seem to genuinely connect with the children and provide lots of fun activities for them to do.

My 3-year-old is currently still at Partou Leaps and Bounds Day Nursery & Pre-school however, my firstborn also attended L&B. Both have had such a positive experience and I have seen so much growth in them. The staff are amazing at handling drop-offs and always find a way to distract them. They're always
happy to take my emails and calls when I'm worried. What I love most is that you can see how much they genuinely love the children. It's heartbreaking when they have to change rooms.
They stayed open all throughout Covid and the storms when many others closed. The staff are truly dedicated to helping families. I've seen them deal with some really tough parents.
I definitely feel like they are part of the family and will be sad when my 3-year-old is ready to go.
Thank you all for your hard work.
My only negative would be the staff turnover. Although I know this is a problem throughout the country and they really try their best to be fully staffed. Like I said they've stayed open throughout.

My eldest son finished there last year. He had been there a year and a half and we were absolutely happy with everything. He got a bit of autism and he got so much help and support which for we are very grateful. This made it so much easier to start in the school. At the moment his little brother is
attending there and even though he had trouble staying there, they did everything in their power to help him settle. Now he just can’t wait to be there. Well done Leaps & Bounds team, you really know what you are doing. Thank you for all your hard work.

Our daughter loves going to Leaps and Bounds and we love all of the staff who take such great care of her. She is excited to go in on her nursery days and we feel confident that she is being well looked after, engaged with and nurtured. So happy that we found this nursery.
