My son attended Riverside Nursery Schools, Grosvenor House from October 2021 to February 2023, starting in Babies 1 and moving through to Tweenies. I cannot rate Grosvenor House highly enough. The entire team were caring, considerate and supportive, not to mention having a thorough understanding of
my son’s personality and his journey.
My son flourished there; learning, making friends and creating bonds with his practitioners. One day, I was able to take a sneak peak at my son as he enjoyed an activity, he looked sublimely happy with his peers which was a joy to behold.
Unfortunately, we left the nursery in February 2023 to relocate to Australia. To this day, my son talks about his friends and his favourite practitioner. These people truly made an impact and became like an extension of our family.
For any parent who is nervous about their child starting day care, please consider Grosvenor House. As a parent, you’ll be listened to and well informed and your child will be nurtured and loved. Thank you all at Grosvenor House!

Both our son and daughter have attended Riverside, Grosvenor House, for a number of years. The staff are always friendly and accommodating and take a keen interest in our little ones. Our son can be a little shy but he's been coaxed from his shell and loves going in. My daughter left 2 years ago and
still runs to give the staff a hug whenever we collect our son.
It's a great nursery school.

Our experience with Riverside Nursery has been great so far. Our daughter didn't take long to settle in and she is happy going to nursery every morning. We are confident she is cared for and is developing well. It's great to see the wide variety of activities that are done with the children. The communication
between staff and parents is amazing and any queries are always answered very quickly.
The team at Riverside are very friendly, professional and accommodating. Very happy with our choice of nursery for our daughter.

We've had both our children grow up at Riverside Nursery, our son who's now off at school, and our daughter who will be moving to school this year.
Riverside have been a fantastic part of our life - their care is full of love, and we see them as an extended part of the family.
I wouldn't hesitate
to recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely fantastic. Our little girl has been at Riverside Nursery for nearly a year (since 6 months old) and we hope she will stay there and move up into the pre-school. The staff are proactive, consistent, helpful and perceptive. They know our daughter so very well and she loves getting to the front
door for drop off every day. The activities she does are varied, well documented and meaningful for her development.

My child started at the age of 12 months with Riverside Nursery Grosvenor House and we couldn’t have asked for a better nursery. The staff are exceptional, attentive, kind and caring. In a little more than a year, I’ve seen my child blossom through her time at nursery. I’m so grateful to each of the
team for taking such good care of the children and keeping parents well informed and up to date. The team are always happy to offer advice but also respect all requests without judgement. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in the area.

Can't rate this nursery highly enough. It took a very long time to settle my son (Covid baby) and the staff have showed nothing but an abundance of compassion and care from the beginning. The communication from staff to parents is excellent. My 1 year old is starting next month and I'm not anxious at
all knowing the care he will receive will be excellent!

We have recently had to relocate our son to a nursery closer to home. It was with a very heavy heart that we had to leave Riverside. Under their care, our son has grown into a wonderful, growing boy, and it is much to the dedication of the team at Grosvenor House. We would recommend Riverside as a great
place for children to thrive.

Our experience of Riverside Nursery School has been great. We feel confident that our daughter is happy when we drop her off and excited to see everyone! That's a great feeling. We are confident that she is getting great meals, feels loved and cared for, and is advancing her skills. She was moved up
to baby 2's and comes home very content. Both my partner and I feel comfortable knowing she is safe and happy when we are at work and that the best feeling nursery can provide.

Our 14 month old daughter loves Riverside Grosvenor House! She settled in so quickly within the first two weeks and became friendly with many staff. She looks forward to attending nursery almost every day. One morning recently, she was dragging her nursery bag and shoes towards me after I changed her
clothes, indicating “it’s time for nursery”. She is also always smiling and waving goodbye when I pick her up, and reluctant to go home sometimes, just showing that the nursery is now her second home.

Riverside Nursery is a fantastic nursery and we can't find a single fault! Our daughter loves going to Riverside, sometimes we feel she enjoys nursery more than home. Every day they have different activities and you can clearly see our daughter learns so much there. We couldn't be happier with Riverside.
The manager and her team are real stars and so professional, but being honest all the staff are.

I can't imagine loving a nursery anymore. All the staff are super kind, caring, and passionate. There is a different theme each week with a huge variety of fun daily activities which my daughter loves and learns so much from. Yes, the nursery has no outdoor space but to be honest I like the fact they
make the extra effort to take the children on long walks each day to either the riverside, high street, train station, and have picnics in the park, and play games on the green. I feel it helps make the children feel part of the community and aware of their environment. The recent refurbishment on The Holy Road site is absolutely outstanding!

Overall we are very happy with the nursery. The staff are friendly and always happy to accommodate my daughter's needs. She loves the nursery and talks about the staff when we are at home. The only downfall is there is no outside space, however, I know the staff take the children out for daily walks.

Our daughter attends two days per week and probably wishes we could send her more often! Settling in was such a breeze thanks to the kind, considerate and attentive staff who are clearly adored by all the kids in attendance. We hear great reports of the food, fun playtime, and games as well as the
interesting activities the kids get up to on trips out of the nursery. Feedback from staff has always been excellent and we always feel at ease dropping her off knowing she'll have a safe and enjoyable day.

We love Grosvenor House! We tried another nursery prior to this and really didn't get on with it. Our daughter is now twenty months and has been going to Grosvenor House since she was sixteen months and she loves it there. It took her a while to settle in but the staffs' gentleness and care has helped
her to adapt and now she walks in without saying goodbye to us! The nursery is incredibly well run and all the staff are lovely and very flexible to our requests. We would not hesitate to recommend Grosvenor House to any other (nervous) parents out there!

Current Review Score: 8.7 (8.725)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.7 (8.725) out of 10 for Riverside Nursery Schools, Grosvenor House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.698 for Riverside Nursery Schools, Grosvenor House is calculated as follows: ( (92 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (7 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 106 Ratings = 4.698
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.027 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Riverside Nursery Schools, Grosvenor House is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.65
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 106 number of registered child places is 21.2. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 21.2 = 0.377
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
