Cherubins Day Nursery - Ladywell Lodge

We have had a very positive experience with Cherubins over the last six years. The staff are warm, caring, and kind, and clearly enjoy looking after the children and supporting their development. You get the sense that they are personally involved in the children's well-being, and both our kids forged strong bonds with their key workers. Children are encouraged to learn about the world around them. And the nursery showcases diversity-teaching them about different religions, cultures, countries, and traditions. The churn of staff over the last six years has also been impressively low.

The team at Cherubins have been so welcoming to my daughter. She took a while to settle but they were confident and patient with her and gave me updates to reassure me. My daughter is now settled and thriving. It's a happy place and everyone at Cherubins is warm and caring towards the children. The baby room is big and full of wonderful resources, stimulating activities and areas to climb. Food is varied and nutritious and it's food that I feel really happy my daughter gets to try. At the end of each day, we're given a written handover detailing nappy changes, sleep, meals and activities. I really appreciate having this info at the end of the day so that I know what my daughter was up to. What I love the most is how the whole team embrace seasonal events and nursery trips. They clearly put thought and effort into tailoring experiences for the babies that might otherwise be too grown up. The highlight of the year for me was the babies' Christmas singalong event. Our three-year-old has been going to Cherubins since he was one, and our one-year-old is just about to start. We find the staff engaged and attentive, and there’s an amazing amount of different activities and celebrations happening all the time to keep the kids engaged. I’d have no hesitation recommending Cherubins as a fantastic childcare option in the Lewisham area.

Very friendly nursery, my son adores going here. We love that it has a relaxed, family feel and we always feel welcomed by the staff. The outdoor space is a huge plus for us and love that there is a mini farm on sight for my son to enjoy learning about real animals! We really appreciate all the additional events and parties for children and parents which the staff tirelessly put on means we really get to know our son's nursery carers. Communication is excellent when needed, with prompt phone calls if required during the day and regular emails to update on what's going on. Have only dropped a star for IT as there is no app updating during the day but the excellent communication and handwritten notes at the end of the day make up for it!

Generally very good. Our child enjoys their time at Cherubins and has formed a good connection with the staff. Good variety of food and activities. There are however frequently long waits at pick up time which could be managed better. Finally, something needs to be done to discourage driving to the nursery for drop off/pick up (the car park should not be offered to parents/carers for example) as children and cars do not mix!

I would highly recommend Cherubins Nursery! The nursery staff are knowledgeable and kind, and very invested in the development of each child. The nursery staff ensure that the children are engaged and happy, and always plan a multitude of activities and exciting trips. It is wonderful watching our little one run into nursery with a smile on their face!

We were delighted by our daughter's experience at Cherubins. The sincerity of the care she received was evident throughout and expressed through the affectionate bond she developed with her carers and her pals there. Thank you Cherubins.

All of the staff are amazing and helped my son settle in as he was having a hard time when he first started. They are so patient and helpful. Definitely a very great nursery in Ladywell Lodge. I would recommend highly!

The key workers are wonderful, caring and interested. The manager has arranged for numerous pets and small farm animals to be kept at the nursery and they organise really interesting trips. The only negative was how one child, who kept lashing out at others, continued to behave badly without much improvement, to the detriment of the other children in their room.

We love Cherubins Day Nursery in Ladywell. Our sons are very happy here. They love going to the nursery every day. Nursery has very caring staff that supports the development of our sons. They learn something new every day. They have amazing gardens, and even little animals such as ducks, chickens and rabbits; kids love them. They also organize trips to parks, Legoland, the seaside and many more. We strongly recommend.

My daughter is very happy at Cherubins Day Nursery. She has been there for several months now and after an initial settling in period now happily goes in every morning and is in a fantastic mood when we pick her up. The staff are very attentive and you can tell they really care about the children. They have plenty of activities in each room and many trips you can opt in to send your child along to as well. Our girl has a lot of fun and seems to be learning in leaps and bounds too.

My son has been with Cherubins Day Nursery since he was 9 months old (he’s 3 now). The staff are lovely and he’s had a great experience in every room he’s been in, from baby to pre-school. The nursery keeps constantly improving and the staff really care about the children and their experience. My son truly loves going there.

We love Cherubins Day Nursery. Our son is so happy there. We really appreciate how kind and fun the staff are and how much creativity is encouraged. The space in the nursery is great - especially the gardens! Everything a toddler would want.

My son has been with the nursery since he was 2 and has found the nursery to be excellent. Lots of extra day trips and activities, plus different cultural-themed weeks and menus. A really diverse and creative environment and the staff are lovely. Sad that he's leaving to start school in September but he will continue to attend the after-school club in the coming months.

My 2-year-old son started at Cherubins Day Nursery in June 2021. It is such a lovely nursery, the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The staff go to so much effort in arranging fun activities, celebrations and outings for the children (so far the aquarium, safari park, pumpkin picking, Christmas tree choosing and even shopping at a Chinese supermarket). They also arrange parties for all the family (Father's Day BBQ, Mother's Day afternoon tea, Jubilee party) and looking forward to the upcoming family day at the beach. They have such a creative chef - love the themed menus! They have fantastic facilities, lots of outdoor space and even a little farm. My son is really happy there and I would definitely recommend.

All three of my children go to Cherubins. They are all happy there and love the staff who go out of their way to get to know each child individually. They always have time for us. I couldn’t be happier to trust them with my children.

Cherubins Day Nursery is a fantastic environment for my son, with excellent staff who care deeply about the children. Our son loves coming here and we're so grateful to the whole team for the fun and learning they provide.

I do appreciate the staff at Cherubins Day Nursery very much but I'm not super satisfied with the equipment and cleanliness of the rooms. However, my child is very happy every time to go in. Also, I think the diet is too sugary (not happy the children are given sweets and cake/ice cream).

Daughter is happy. Making her first friends. Learning how to be a little person around other little people. She's safe and gently experiences the world, bringing her little pieces of knowledge home with her. Everyone knows her name and she speaks fondly of all her teachers.

We are really happy with how our little boy has developed and thrived at Cherubins. He is really chatty, happy and confident and tells us about his friends and what they have done at the end of the day. He has a really good bond with his keyworker.
